Tashua Knolls Restaurant and Event Space provided the space and food for my first cousins 50th Wedding Anniversary. My daughter and I attended and we were impressed from the moment our car dropped us off in the front. We were greeted at the door by a professional employee. He took us back to a beautiful space with a marble table where we picked up our name tags. Nearby was the entrance to the huge room where all of the family members were seated at circular tables with white tablecloths. Each table had a beautiful flower arrangement in the center that didn't prevent us from seeing each of the family members around our table. The waiters were right on schedule with each course starting with our drinks. The food was delicious and naturally we had anniversary wedding cake for dessert. There was plenty of space for dancing with a dance floor. When we had the opportunity to move around to the other tables to chat we were not crowded in the space. The banquet servers were clearing tables LOUDLy while presentations were given, and speakers were giving emotional talks on their health crises. It was beyond annoying. The banquet room and facility in general is extremely dated. Looks like it was last decorated in the early 90's. Weird fake flowers and sconces. The "turkey" carving station had a large, shiny lump of chopped and formed turkey with a very pink hue. Almost like they bought the worst quality meat lump from a deli and called it turkey. Never seen anything like it. Even the ice cream was bad. I liked that there were healthy options, fresh sautéed veggies, etc. however it was completely unremarkable. This morning my partner and I woke up with diarrhea and nausea. We never have these issues except with food poisoning. read more

This review is based on my attendance at an appreciation event for some people that primarily work in the school system or help the community. It was catered and held onsite. The staff was attentive but we were seated at 12 tops (12 people per table), the food ordered for the event was served family style so that was a challenge by itself. The program was delayed a few times by local politicians and others dropping in to offer words to the awardees. So I am not sure if that's why the food was the way it was. We were served pasta with sauce, chicken and mushrooms, meatballs, sausage and a seafood platter that has shrimp, clams and fish on it. The seafood platter was good, same with the pasta. The meat selection was very dry. It was almost as if it sat in the window too long. That could have been due to the interruptions, but I am not sure. The place is on a golf course so it is a nice place and maybe one day I will go back and try again, on the bar/ restaurant side. read more

I actually came here for a wedding reception and found the grounds beautiful and well kept and the staff to be very pleasant and not too overbearing. I didn't see the actual restaurant, but the banquet room was your typical gathering place, but with added attention and very smooth bus and catering service. The buffet they had was better than most I've endured. Yeah yeah, the chicken was dry and the servers are raving about some fish scampi surprise that looks like something your old Russian granny would make you eat, but their greens were fresh, the pasta sauce actually zesty and not out of a can and the carving station not a scene out of your favorite horror film. The bartenders were friendly (open bar) and the atmosphere just all around upbeat, professional and put together. I'm not sure how the bride viewed the process, but as a guest, Tashua Knolls provided a fine experience for a wedding reception and their facilities were above average. They could use an upgrade on the bathrooms and the bus boys could be a little less eager to clear your food (I almost had to stab one with my fork) but those are really the only complaints. read more

Just had my daughter's bridal shower on 8/22/15. I can't say enough good things about the banquet hall and how beautiful the tables, cake table, gift and candy table were set up for us. How delicious and generous the the food was for our bruncheon. The Mimosa fountain was a huge hit. The staff, starting with Danielle and Dominic, and ending with our servers Michelle and Melissa were amazing, efficient, kind and professional. First time I have planned an event like this and they made it so positive. I would recommend Tashua for any big events. And it's so nice to support our local businesses too. read more

Gorgeous venue and large decorated lovely room. Beautiful location in a peaceful northern part of Trumbull. The food is very good, although I'm not sure if I'd say fantastic. An Unexpected Invite. My wife and I were invited to the wedding for John and AnnetteTownsend. It was unexpected because we had met with John only a few times in person. It was a pleasant surprise and we had a great time. The Tashua Knolls Banquet Hall is a beautiful venue. I'm sure the outside grounds are very nice in the spring time. John did say, "Come hungry because we're having a lot of food". He wasn't kidding. They started with an array of cold hors d'oeuvres presently beautifully in a room next to the bar. Such as, cheeses, crackers, fresh fruit, calamari salad, marinated mushrooms, bruschetta, and a bed of shrimp cocktail around an ice sculpture. They also had the wait staff walk around with a variety of hot hors d'oeuvers. The dinner began with a small fruit cup followed by a dish of penne with marinara sauce. The next course was a nice salad. The main course was a choice of king cut prime rib, chicken francaise, and stuffed filet of sole with a champagne lobster sauce. I had the stuffed sole and it was delicious. My wife had the chicken francaise and she enjoyed her dinner as well. Later on in the night, they opened the doors to the bar room and had many desserts for the guests. They also had a fountain of milk chocolate and a fountain of white chocolate for fresh fruit. Fresh cannolis filled by request, an espresso bar, chocolate shot cups with a few liqueurs such as Sambuca, Kahlua, and Chambord. An ice cream sundae station with main toppings. I had my wedding at Tashua Knolls. The staff was professional and easy to work with. All my guests told me the food was delicious. There was a lovely space on the grounds for the ceremony. Tashua also gave us a great deal. Their packages start at $83/person and go to $120/person (in their 2013 pricing, not sure what their 2014 pricing is). We were not able to find a vendor in the area that offered comparable service for the same price. read more

I recently had my wedding there and I must say, Tashua Knolls provided nothing but top notch service in a beautiful setting. Danielle and Dominick were excellent to me and my wife. This was absolutely the perfect day for me and my family and friends. I'm still hearing about it. Everyone said that this was the best wedding they have been to and the food was excellent. Went for Easter brunch food was just bad. First I address what I ate, then my other 7 tablemates) I had the prepared scrambled eggs (usual buffet type over cooked ) and I looked for some bread. All they had were biscuits or French toast. I took both, the French toast was frozen fare from a box. The biscuit was incredibly dry and fell apart into a heap of crumbs when I attempted to butter it. I put some commercial pancakes syrup on the French toast, there was no maple syrup, and ate the eggs and box French toast. It was edible but certainly nothing to go out for. I've had much better from a diner. Still hungry I thought there might be something great for desert. Um, no. Supermarket cookies and a chocolate/white chocolate fountain with some cut over ripe fruit and a bag if tiny pretzel rods, not even large rods, the mini. Totally blah. Oh I had a "mimosa" from the "mimosa" fountain. It was orange juice and seltzer. No discernible champagne at all. I did have 3 cups of good coffee from the carafe that was placed at the table. The others at my table were similarly underwhelmed. Raw fatty roast beef from the carving station. Breakfast sausage that tasted like McDonalds. A salad salad bar that didn't even come close to the quality of Ruby Tuesday. Lackluster penne vodka. We would have had much better meal and cheaper, if we'd gone to Hometown Buffett. read more

I had a 80th birthday party for my mom here recently. I can't thank the staff enough not only was the place spotless it was recently painted the entrance looked beautiful with all the flowers. The food was awesome Dominick and Chef Rob put out the most fresh, hot and savory food from cocktail hour through dessert the food was on point. I have been to multiple weddings and brunch at Tashua knolls and it has been wonderful all the time. The employees were polite and professional and the food was amazing! We attended a cocktail reception wedding and the food was unreal. There were so many different foods and were super fresh. You can tell it was prepared in house .
