So I don't often go to the liquor store unless I'm making cocktails with friends and we need specific ingredients, and I haven't been to one since I move to Sandy Springs about 5 months ago. So I came on Yelp to find one of course! I was running a few errands last night and was in a rush and was just looking for the closest place to me that had Moonshine. I just needed to grab a few gifts to bring with me on my trip and will be out of the country, so I was looking for a few liquors to bring that they don't have in France! ***LOCATION*** The location was perfect for us since it was within walking distance from the My GPS took me all the way in front of the cinema, which is the opposite side of where this store is. I ended up driving all around the parking lot before finding it on the other side. It isn't hidden, but maybe Google Maps isn't the best for finding it. So if for some reason it takes you to the Cinema, just go all. the way to the other side! There is plenty of parking in the shared lot out front. ***EXPERIENCE*** The staff was super friendly and helped me choose a Moonshine. I explained what I was looking for and why. I was originally going to get the classic 100 proof Ole Smoky Moonshine and then one of the creamier ones like the White Chocolate Strawberry one, but they only had a few including pickles, banana flavor, cherries, the blue one and a couple of others but not really any that I was looking for. He told me he could order anything and have it in stock, he just needs to know what the customers want. I of course couldn't wait this time, but love that he was very helpful! There was another brand of Moonshine just next to the Ole Smoky that was called Grandaddy Mimms. There were two flavors, apple pie and peach! He told me he thinks this one is better quality, but just not as popular. I saw that it was made in Blairsville, GA, so I decided to go with this one, and it actually worked out perfectly. A Moonshine made in GA that is peach flavored? Definitely the perfect souvenir for friends! haha I also wanted to pick up some Fireball as they don't really have that in France either. I think I may have seen it once in the one Costco they have in the country, but that is all. He showed me all of the sizes they had and also showed me the mini bottles, so I got a large sized bottle and some mini ones as gifts. + I also love how helpful they were but in a 0 pressure to buy anything kind of way. Some places give advice but you feel pressured to take their advice and get it. They were there to answer questions but were very chill and not at all salesman-like! ***STAFF*** Very friendly and helpful! A lady was also there and we were talking about bringing Fireball abroad to friends that haven't had it. I think she was saying that she had taken some to her friends in Australia too. ***PRICE*** The price was normal. I don't buy liquor too often to know all of the prices off hand, but I know I have run into a shop in downtown atlanta to buy some before and the price for a handle of mediocre vodka was like 60$! The 1.75 L bottle of Fireball was only 25$ here! And the Moonshine was just under 22$, which after a quick search, seems to be the normal price! The mini bottles I got were also about 1$ each I believe, since I paid 60$ in total for everything! ***CONCLUSION*** Was not the largest liquor store, but the staff was so friendly. I loved that they can also order whatever you'd like. I don't think I'd be getting anything regularly enough to ask to have it in stock, but I will definitely come here in the future any time I need gifts or ingredients for cocktails! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend coming here if you live in the area or even if you live in Atlanta. It is just outside of the perimeter, so very easy to access and if you live in Atl, I think the 15 min drive to come here is worth it for the prices and the staff :) read more

Im HUGE on vibes & customer service & this place failed on both.. explains why they were empty on a Saturday evening. I walked in & was looking at the liquor bottles behind the register. Made eye contact & greeted the long bearded guy at the register & even greeted him. He literally looked in my face & said nothing so i kindly exited. I walked in an was immediately greeted!!! As I walked in, I asked if they had any store picks and the owner (who was on a ladder stocking items) immediately responded with the store picks he had. We started chatting and I actually sat down and talked with the owner for a while (I don't want to list his name because that should be his choice to share). I had a ball! We talked about bourbon, past releases and upcoming releases. He is extremely knowledgeable and his passion for his craft is obvious. I ended up leaving with five bottles of bourbon all of which I would never find back home in Louisville, Kentucky. I am a fan and I will be back again and again. I need to take photos! read more

Al, H, and Keith are all very personable and make an effort to remember not only what you like but give great suggestions for new items that they have in stock and also if you are looking to try something new. They are always open to suggestions for new items that competitors have and their prices are a lot cheaper than other local beverage stores in the area. The rewards point system is always an added bonus to my shopping experience that my family also benefits from. It's always a welcoming environment and needless to say in my opinion the best bottle shop in Sandy Springs. read more

No food is served here, Service was good! They didn't have the white wine I was looking for. The shelves are full, I'm pretty sure you'll find what you want and if not there are alternatives. The full shelves made the ambiance nice and the sections are divided nicely. The gentleman behind the counter offered to help and provided alternative suggestions to what we were looking for. This was truly an experience for me. The owner is very awesome and was very helpful! If he didn't have something he would recommend something just as good or better. What truly impressed me was the owner said the name of his business is called taste because they actually taste all of the products. That means he is just not trying to sell you something he has actually experienced the product. I am from Birmingham Alabama but when I'm in Atlanta I will stock up at taste! Stopped in from Chattanooga. This is a small shop but has more hospitality than any big box store I have ever been too.
