I came in here earlier this week, looking for a bottle of pinot noir to cook with in a meal that I was going to start in a couple of hours. How I never came to any Total Wine & More store before, I have no idea. This place is a treasure! The parking lot outside is free and has a lot of spaces, all just for Total Wine & More customers. This store is big, clean, has wide aisles, and it stocks a wide variety of wines. I was in a hurry so I only looked through only about half of the store. I think this store is generally well-organized. All of the signage and the small placards identifying each wine and the price of each bottle matched with the physical products in each area. There were at least two aisles of Pinot Noir. I stopped looking for more because I just didn't have enough time, since I still had to do some food shopping. Before I came to the store, I looked online to see what this store had. The prices of the individual bottles of Pinot Noir ranged from $4.99 to $299.99. Since I was using wine to cook with, not to drink, I just looked at a reasonable wine with a high customer rating. I found one, and it was $12.99. I used this wine in my chicken cacciatore, and it came out great! The only thing that bothered me about this business was that the employees didn't seem to want to ring up my wine at the register. I went to the checkout lines, and no employees were there. I saw an employee at the Customer Service area, where there is at least one register, and told her that I wanted to pay for the bottle. Instead of ringing me up, she yelled out to one of the employees in the nearby office to help me. One of the employees came out of the office, and told me to go to lane three so she could ring me up. Some locations also carry phenomenal selection of liquor. Not only do they carry wide selection from different winemakers but also carry older vintages so you can find an aged wine right off the shelf, saving you from cellaring at home if you don't have the patience. It typically ranges from disinterested to surly to downright abusive. Case and point, I came this afternoon to purchase a half dozen bottles of wine. While I was bending down to pick up a bottle, an older white male associate with glasses walked in front of me (physically moving my arm out of the way) while watching a video on his cellphone at maximum volume. I even said afterwards "excuse you!", the elder didn't even bat an eye. Matter of fact, he was so absorbed in his video that he turned the corner too soon and walked into the shelf - nice that karma took care of him but irritating that this is the norm. Cashier was no better, I greeted her (didn't respond), told her thank you and the next words out her mouth were "next!". She tried to wedge my receipt into the box and after realizing her carpal tunnel wouldn't allow it, thrust the receipt towards me. You're really only coming here for the product; the staff are abysmal, as you can probably surmise from the previous reviews. Research through the website or app what offerings they have, and come in prepared. You'd get better customer service at a corner liquor store. read more

On my recent visit , they were out of the veuve clicquot I was looking for but I still was able to find a nice prosecco for a nice price. A good substitute! The staff is friendly and helpful. I don't often come to Total Wine, more-so of when I'm in the area. The amount of wine bottles here is ENDLESS. They have so many different types of whites, red, sparkling, ETC. This particular location does not sell liquor though. Only beer, wine, and seltzers. It's kind of a bummer, but there are other liquor stores around. The store is massive and very well-lit. If you can't find what you're looking for, definitely ask someone. The whole staff is extremely knowledgeable and is happy to help you find what you're looking for and maybe what you don't even know you're looking for. I mean, its a store with "wine" in the name...so, it can't be too bad, right!? Well, in this case...you are correct, it's "Bad" in the Michael Jackson sense for sure! Located on Perimeter Center, in the same shopping center as Bed Bath & Beyond and PetSmart sits a stand alone building that holds all the wine and beer one could dream of. Apparently only two locations in the state of Georgia are able to sell liquor and sadly, this location is not one of them. So, yes...sad face. However, their expansive selection of wines and beers are impressive on their own! In addition to the aforementioned wine and beer, the "more" in their name means just that and in this case, cigars. I am not a cigar aficionado, but I imagine if I was that I would be quite impressed with the walk in humidor and selection of stogies. Outside of their inventory, this particular location has always been top notch when it comes to customer service. From ensuring that the lines up front never get more than 2 people deep to them not letting you wonder around the aisles too long before being asked if you need assistance. Also something interesting to know about all Total Wines in the area, is they have a small meeting space that can accommodate around 30 classroom style comfortably. I ended up taking a Real Estate course here and it was pretty solid. Not only did I learn something in the subject I was there to learn about, I also got to taste some wine. This is apparently one of the extras that you get when you book the space. It was a really cool touch and the Wine Manager was very knowledgeable, well spoken and friendly. So, I have had the opportunity to experience this location on a consumer level, and from a business level and in both I have been impressed. This location only sells beer and wine. I think it's a Georgia limitation not a Total Wine limitation. So there's no hard liquor here. And they do sell cigars here in a walk in humidor located at the front of the store. There is a large room (in the wine section) where they have training classes for beer and wine which is cool. The wine selection looks huge with wines from all over the world and the beer selection is pretty good also. Lots of craft beer choices with good seasonal options. Once in a while (in the beer section) you can feel the MARTA train passing next to or beneath the store which is probably why the wine section is on the other side of the store. read more

I liked total wine - this location near Perimeter Mall is especially convenient. I really learned to love it for "The Brewery District" growler store you can find in one corner! First, you can get your growler filled from a fine selection of craft brews. Second, they have some of the best prices on growler bottles I've seen. The flip-lock-tops are my favorite, and you can find them at Total Wine for $0.99 - quite the bargain. I'm not sure why other stores aren't offering these at the same price - it certainly makes sense to me, as I almost always both fill and buy extra bottles. On my most recent visit I purchased both a bottle of Bell's Oberon for a light wheat option, and a New Holland Dragon's Milk Stout for the opposite end of the spectrum. For this occasion the interstates were locked-up and there was no point in getting into that mess. I walked with a coworker and picked up these two bottles to enjoy before hitting the roads - it was a fine choice indeed. Total Wine also has cigars and of course wines. For me it's mostly about the beer. I also spotted a couple of other intriguing bottles, including a Rogue Voodoo Doughnut (Pretzel, Raspberry and Chocolate Ale) and Clown Shoes Undead Party Crasher (American Imperial Stout). I'm not too sure about the first one but the second is coming home with me on my next visit. read more

I've been to this store a few times to shop and try wines, and always have a great experience. I'm very glad they are helping to make our special day great as we went on for a wedding wine tasting. Fantastic experience with Brandon today. The man and I came in to do a little wine tasting for our wedding. Brandon was very knowledgeable about wine and beer. He helped us to select the perfect options for our wedding at the price-point that made sense to us. We appreciated the great service, friendly atmosphere, and really enjoyed the wines we tried. They also have a good policy that allows you to return unused alcohol (as long as it's in original packaging) for a store credit. The store does NOT sell spirits. Only Alpharetta and Kennesaw do so keep this in mind. read more

I do not drink often. A friend of mine asked me to stop and grab something specific for a get together. A tall male employee in here was very abrupt, rude, and short with me. I asked if they had what I was looking for. His response was "This is a total wine store. Why would you even come here?" With an extremely sarastic and rude tone as he towered over me. I am a 5'2 female. I'm not easily intimidated nor am I sensitive. He was very rude and made me feel like an idiot in front of everyone in the store. Customer service is everything. (Juice and soda mixers you can buy at a grocery store, but they also have a great selection of unique mixers like ginger beer). Simply put, they have the best prices, best selection, and most knowledgeable staff. People in the store care about and know about what they are selling. Each store is clean, well laid out, easy to navigate. On top of it all, they do both smaller free tastings and planned, themed, paid (Like $5) tastings (very well attended, buy tickets in advance). Positive: The only reason I think this location deserves a 1-star is, because they have a big selection of products. Negative: Their 'Customer Service' is terrible!!!! About 4+ weeks ago, my fiancée and I went here, and there was some issue with the little old Irish guy (I believe he is, I am Irish, so not that type of issue) at the register. He was mumbling under his breath and just had a crap attitude. We ignored it, and left. Note: He carded only one of us. On our second trip this past weekend, a new girl (she was great) at the register wanted to card us both. I had my DL; however, my fiancée did not, only having a photo of her DL. That should be enough for verifying someone's DL. I think, because the girl was new, she didn't want to make a mistake already, so she called up the Manager to override our issue. I don't blame the new girl at all. The Manager comes up all direct and tough acting and says, sorry, we cannot help you. You both look under 30. So, I showed her my DL, and showed her I was 38. She said, great, but your fiancée needs her DL as well, not accepting a photo. Really!?! I mean, what is the difference. It is 2022, get with Digital Transformation and today's technology! Everything is almost digital today. Terrible service and terrible attitude's in this location. They need some training, or they need to get a job they like. The Manager needs to be trained first and should stop acting like she is 'Security.' Great leaders lead great people, and that is not the case here! Long story short, we will take our business to the smaller liquor stores now, and I will let all of our family and friends know about this poor service as well. So I pranced in here and boy was I in awe of all the wines from all different regions and valleys all over the world. I was invited to a wine tasting event as a bartender or Wine pourer for Total Wine. It was very interesting just talking to the connoisseurs. The Wine choices they chose for sampling where kind of low budget, so the event was very cost effective. It was about 8 tables with 20 participants and they had to rotate every 10 minutes, so the wine was flowing. I can tell you one thing if they didn't meet there love match they certainly met a buzz!! The Wine that I served was Castillo Del Diablo from the Devil Collection, it was made from the Carmenere grape. It's a much darker heavier Merlot with a hint of chocolate flavor. This wine pairs great with Bison or a sweet and savory sauced meal. Overall this was a great experience at a great location. This wine shop stays open late and the employees are very knowledgeable of all the wines. My favorite is the Rose section, they are serving you pure bliss in this section. They used to be the "go to", great selection, lowest prices...used to...then they seem to have taken to massive advertising on streaming, and jacked up prices like nothing I've ever seen before. Finally frustrated enough to look elsewhere, it looks like they're about the highest prices on items I buy. I save about $3 a case on beer, and several dollars a bottle on wines for the same thing at walmart or local stores, and save the time and gas of traveling here. Dropped them and won't be back. Seriously it's huge and looks like a grocery store except all the aisles are filled with bottles & bottles of wines. All the aisles are labeled well, everything is organized, they have a map in the front, and if you need advice there is very knowledgeable staff throughout the store. Me and my husband walked in looking to buy some wine for a friend, and from the moment we walked in we had the employees watching us like we were scum. No one asked us if we needed help after about 15 minutes of just looking. When we did have to go up and ask for help the man rolled his eyes and you could tell did not care to help us. This is my go to store for wine. Entering "Total Wine & More" is like walking into wine heaven. They have almost every wine you ever wanted or didn't know you wanted till you discovered it while walking through this store. I have never purchased any but they sell Beer and also accessories that any wine or liquor drinker can appreciate all being located under one roof. The only thing that this location is missing is liquor but who needs liquor when you can have wine. The staff is amazing, usually within 5 minutes of entering there is someone asking me if I need help finding something. Typically, I stick with the same type of wine but when I do ask for assistance It is five star service. During my last visit, the young man who assisted me gave me the background on all the wines he suggested and I even now have a new plum wine in my portfolio.
