Vendors selling; jewelry, clothes, handmade goods, arts and crafts, toys, collectibles, artwork, etc. So many things to see! There's also food vendors with lots of options to choose from as well as fruity beverages, drinks and beer. There's also carnival rides, games and a petting zoo for the kiddos! Best of all, live music for entertainment! Plenty of chairs to sit for eating-- or just to enjoy the music. Many of the vendors were extremely friendly and welcoming. We have two cats already. My kids know how to interact with animals. I was present with my three year old and supervising her interactions to be sure she pet the cats nicely. My son has been to several cat cafes, is calm, and was just petting the cats quietly. An older woman with short brown hair snatched a toy out of my daughter's hand "to be sure she didn't loose it" I was stunned to see an adult snatch a toy from a toddler like that. She was also making comments about my children being there but they were doing nothing wrong. I could understand if my kids were out of hand but they weren't. If you don't like kids in there, make a no kids rule- but good luck adopting to good families when you treat them like this.

We had our heart set on a little kitty, and we found the sweetest angel. The process was very easy, and they provided so much great info regarding our new cat (especially for us since it was our first). The fee charged is more than affordable, and they sent us off with everything we needed to get started. They even let us borrow the pet carrier so that we could bring our girl home! Truly nice people. They called a few days after to see how we were doing and to see if we needed anything. They were great at making us feel like we had a resource, very happy we went with this choice. I recommend anyone looking to hang out with cats or to adopt!

Just along the pathway and right across from the playground. It's open to the public during certain hours. From the look of it first hand you wouldn't think that it's a lighthouse. One end has a cute little garden area where it's a butterfly sanctuary. I didn't go inside the gift shop which I did notices that they offer tours of the property. I can't review the tour as I didn't experience it but the property from the outside was beautiful. You could walk along and check out the front and back of the property and garden. It's a cute place which I think they also host different events throughout the year. I could be wrong but it looked like they were having something for Easter later. It's a beautiful landmark with its nice architecture but to think that it was a lighthouse, I would have never guessed. If you get a chance to stop by the park, it's worth checking out even a wander around if you didn't do the tour.

Parking is difficult on the weekends because it's next to a park but there was some spots in the neighborhood. The Korean Friendship bell is close by.

There was only a few hours left before the aquarium closes, and I didn't want to disappoint my daughter after we already drove down here and parked I asked if they could make the exception, they said no but that I could buy a ticket for today at the membership price (which wouldn't make sense because the aquarium closes soon). And with this economy it's just not feasible to buy a whole new ticket esp if my membership just recently expired. And we can't renew because we can't make it down here as often as we would like due to logistics. Sad there's no curtesy, my daughter was really excited to go and we supported the aquarium by initially buying the membership to see but now to see the lack of flexibility when asking for a curtesy of a few hours is really disappointing my daughter was really sad and cried. So, it stands to reason that an event like this would seem too expensive by someone like me, who is not a beer connoisseur by any means, who is fine swilling domestic light beers because anything too bitter or tart or hoppy (or, let's be honest, flavorful) is not as easy to get into my belly. There, I said it. I don't home brew, I don't go the Yardhouse, I don't drink from taps with giant geese or sharks on them, I don't have ironic facial hair or an Arcade Fire t-shirt. There is no I in I-P-A. Oh wait there is. Anyway... So, for someone like me to justify the price ($45 just for ADMISSION, tastings not included), I get that an event like this prices out the riff raff, the drunks, the glass boot fillers, the people who'd potentially start a fight because they are wondering what you are looking at. To me, it's the price for peace. So, when I say it's expensive, you know where I am coming from, and we can move on...with that out of the way, here's what I liked and disliked: THE PEOPLE ARE AWESOME. That guy holding ten tasting glasses looks like Cornell West! That guy over there looks like a MythBuster. That pourer looks like a young Morrissey (Hop me, oh oh oh, Hop me, Hop me if you think that you've heard this one before). That guy looks like a Details magazine ad. And, yes, there were bros, but the kind of bros who don't start fights in bars- they were the kind who want to break up a potential fight by buying a round. The people were happy, shiny people- friendly and genuine. THE BEER SELECTION WAS OVERWHELMING. My favorite was the Bottle Logic Dragonfruit and the Japanese Pumpkin. I also steered people toward the Ginger Beer (sorry I forget their name: something like Alternative?) which tasted like when you take a sip of your sake bomber after eating a piece of ginger. Many were just too sour to drink--- I mean, they were so sour I thought Ashton Kutcher was gonna come out and reveal I had been punk'd. THE EVENT SPACE WAS COOL. It was a huge hangar with string lights overhead, in a clean, clear structure with vendors side by side along the perimeter and middle, just like an expo but with much wider space for the guests, so it was real easy to walk around- a big plus. THE GLASS. Cool keepsake glass for tasting, and we were happy to see the pours were not as "EXACT" (you know, like a Chili's bartender) as we expected. CRITICISMS (THINGS TO IMPROVE): *The food area was in the dark. The tables and chairs were in the dark. It was depressing. Thank God there weren't loose belts around. It was borderline dangerous- you wouldn't want your girlfriend walking there alone. It's almost as if someone said, "Hey, let's make the food area dark and unattractive so people will return to the beer area". Just a few string lights would have made it feel like a wedding; instead it felt like a Sons of Anarchy burial in the woods. *There was no smoking area. *They could have afforded at least ONE person to cruise the eating area and pick up the trash left behind. Just one. I don't care if the inventor of beer himself was at the event with Doug and Bob McKenzie as special guests: a $45 admission fee should ensure that you aren't going to eat on dirty, trash-ridden tables. Maybe that's why it was so dark--- to not see the trash and cigarette butts. That said, we had fun. WISH YOU WERE BEER!

Not that I did not already know this before I even went, but this was the best beer event I have…read moregone to. It's probably the best one I will ever go too ha. So many world class breweries from lambic producers Cantillon and Drie Fonteinen to American breweries such as Jester King and Sante Adarius Rustic Ales. The check in process was super smooth, the lines to get beer were never long (except for the lambics which was to be expected). This event is in a different city each year and it was so good that I would consider traveling to whatever city it's in next year.
