I did not receive an email regarding changed hours that the owner said she sent out. According to her they sent out emails three weeks ago. We purchased our tickets three weeks ago meaning the same timeframe. My question is (why did you allow us to purchase tickets for an event with the VIP 3-6 if those hours were changed. Being a business owner myself, I understand what a professional attitude should be and the owner did not show it. I also understand that mistakes are made, so I get that you allowed us to get tickets for a time that was no longer viable. Professional decorum would dictate that she should have offered us a refund and an apology. Yanni showed no care or concern for the lose of money, our time or for that matter for the business she has now lost. Instead she continuously stated that they sent out several emails. She doesn't have to worry about our business ever again.

It was very crowded but we were able to walk around and check out the local vendors. They had some local entertainment for the children and adults. There was every type of food you can imagine. We opted for a Mexican restaurant (Fatty Daddy) so we could sit down and eat in the AC, lol. I bought some little "Brooklyn" souvenirs and some sweets. I actually enjoyed this fair better than "Atlantic Antic" because it wasn't overly crowded. Definitely something I would check out again.

I typically hate NYC street fairs, but the Fifth Avenue lived up to its name!…read more Unlike some other fairs, where it's all the same sausage and peppers on every block, the Fifth Ave Fair puts a big emphasis on local businesses, with most of the food options coming from those storefronts! There was also a live band, lots of random stuff to buy (mostly jewelry and clothes). I set up station by the Letter of Marque Theater space and watched/participated in some awesome soundpainting and improv performances! Go support them! Also devoured a ton of pizza, and had more than a few beers from Nunu Chocolates. I love drinking in public! The fair also extended pretty far down! From almost Flatbush all the way down to the numbered streets!

The food and drinks are expensive, of course, but the quality is okay. There is always seating and the open-air, fully covered space is great protection from the elements. A bummer was that there was no promotions for the soft opening and they were only offering one for their grand opening on Sunday. It would've been cool to get a coupon or 1 free arcade play or complimentary socks for the playspace for the soft opening, but whatever, we still stayed and enjoyed. The space is large and filled with lots of fun areas for both younger and older kids. I was told that this was actually their largest location. On weekdays, the trampoline/play area is 1.5 hrs for 24.99+tax and 2.5 hrs is 27.99+tax. Weekends it is 27.99 and 32.99+tax, respectively. It is $3.00 if you don't bring your own grippy socks - and you'll need them (some areas were slick even with the mats, padding and grip socks on). They offer different packages for their points for the arcade and if they are like their other locations, will probably offer lots of different promotions :) The play area is on the ground floor and the arcade is on the lower level. There is a "bead"/pebble area (similar to sand play, but much cleaner), a large ball pit with slides, climbing, interactive video games, timed obstacle course, trampolines, foam pits, Floor is Lava game and lots more! We stayed in this area for the duration of our paid time and then went to check out the arcade area on the lower level, but you can go in/out between the two areas if you want. Down in the arcade area they also have bumper cars, various VR games, archery as well as a bunch of fun games and crane games. The lights are fun and engaging like their other locations. We got to play some crane games and won some plushies :) All in all a great time and my little one is already asking to go back!

I've never had a bad experience, but it's not what it used to be. As I'm older now, to allow my daughter to have some fun. Some rides, a few games and some quality food. After a year off, due to Covid, it's made it's return. I'd suggest if you have small kids, it's better to go earlier in the day, before the teenagers and adults come out.

My friend and I made a night of it with dinner and drinks at Leuca beforehand and then made our way to the gorgeous terrace. The setting did look a bit like a wedding (floral archway, seating was "bride side, groom side"), which all the comedians commented on. Tickets were cheap, $10 or $15, for a solid 2 hours of comedy. I hadn't heard of most of the comedians, but all were very funny and had great sets. I hope the festival is back next year because I definitely want to see more (very cheap) comedy!

This is pretty big facility full of entertainment. Currently, the grand opening deal is buy $100 and get additional $20 credits! There's also an option between VIP membership card and a Regular card. The friendly staff member at the counter explained that the VIP has an annual fee for $5, worth more credits when refilled, and we can keep using the same card for refills. The Regular card is worth a little less credit, has a $2 activation fee anyway, and cannot be refilled. It was Christmas Day today and it was of course packed with families. I took my little one here for the arcade games and claw games today and I'll bring her back another day for the Trampoline area when it's less crowded. My little one loves basketball shooting games and the rides. Hubs enjoys the shooting games. Mommy enjoys winning little plushies for my little one and I thought the claw machines were fairly easy. Staff members seem to be filling up the claw machines pretty often especially the small keychain ones. I see a lot of kids with big smiles coming out with a bag full of plushies from the claw machines. Overall, I thought this was a really fun place for families. There was something for everyone to enjoy!

Ok - here it is Saturday afternoon and I am finally sober enough to type this review of the beer…read morefest. I was absolutely blotto last night after this. Even more so after downing more drinks at Raines Law Room afterwards. I literally forgot my own name last night. My friend Sean and I got on line at around 7:30 and had to wait until doors opened at 8. Yes, it was raining out but at least we were kept entertained by some crazy drunk girl that was kicked out of the earlier session. She was actually foaming at the mouth while screaming out stupid nonsense to everyone. When doors opened we got in quickly and proceeded to get a few beers within a minute. Yes! The event was held in a nice event space in the Altman building. Well air conditioned, bright, and clean bathrooms. There were food and beer stands along the walls, and a main beer area set up in the middle with about 100 beers on tap all labeled and numbered. Terrific variety of beers to choose from. Light, dark, malty, creamy, reds, ambers, stouts, you name it. At one point near the end we were just calling out numbers to slug down beer after beer, With some of these in the 7-10% alcohol content we were feeling no pain. There was also a band playing throughout, and a downstairs area with communal benches and tables. I honestly can't remember too much more as I lost my mind by the end of the night. All I know is that we sampled a lot of terrific Belgian style beers. All the servers working the stations were cool and the event staff was nice and helpful. The crowd was not too bad either. It was busy but they did not oversell it. Never had to wait too long on lines. Plus, waited until the day before and Groupon put up a $40 ticket deal so we saved big time. Now I have to drink more tonight at a UYE German restaurant event. "I'm never drinking again"…read more That was the first thing that went through my head as I woke up at 6am Saturday morning, having attended the late session of the Belgian Beer Festival the previous night. This was a very well organized event. I was expecting massive crowds and long lines for beer and food. There was a pretty long line outside to get in but Phil H. and I got there pretty early and were lucky enough to be entertained by a crazy, screaming drunk girl from the afternoon session. They took care of checking everyone's tickets and stamping our hands while we were on line so at 8pm we were shuffled in with no delay. Once inside we were given a souvenir tasting glass, which I ended up way to drunk to keep track of at the end of the night. For three hours we were treated to tons of great Belgian and Belgian-style beers, mostly on tap and a few in bottles. The toughest part of the night was picking what to drink. I didn't have the same beer twice the entire night! In addition to the beer there was plenty of good snack from Luke's Lobster, My Friend's Mustard, and a few others. I did just read on their site that the first session was apparently littered with problems. Fortunately they cleared those up or did a great job of masking them by the time the evening session began. All in all it was a great night! The organizers put on a good event. It was crowded but nowhere near packed. We didn't wait more than a minute for anything. I look forward to attending more of Get Real NY's events.
