We'd already admired Jordan's work in an incredible wedding video he made for our close family friends. Luckily enough, we were able to book him for our wedding in late August 2014, and now, two and a half months later, our wedding video is one of our favorite things to watch over and over and over again. I'm still so amazed and moved by his work on our video. Jordan had never been to a Persian wedding before, and our ceremony was partially in Farsi, partially in English. On one hand, we worried we'd get a video that was too culturally-focused and out of touch with who we are; on the other hand, we worried we'd get something that didn't reflect our heritage enough. I thought these were big obstacles - they didn't faze Jordan in the slightest. He jumped right in and learned as much as he could about us and our ceremony. He was in constant communication with us, whether by email, phone or in person, and we were able to explain all the details that were important to us. We talked about music, about style, about format. We really felt included in the process and that our opinions mattered. The day of the wedding, Jordan and his team were on top of it. They knew what they had to do and how to do it. They were professional, thorough, creative and flexible, and at times, an excellent source of comic relief. Jordan and his team also got along great with all our other vendors, especially our photographers. All together their work that day was efficient and seamless. After the wedding, Jordan kept us aware of his progress and double-checked details with us to make sure everything was spot-on. When we finally watched the finished product, we were beside ourselves. It is a perfect sampling of every emotion we felt that day: joy, nervousness, excitement, love, (is sweaty an emotion?), happy exhaustion. Somehow, the video just feels like us. We've now shared our video with family and friends, and they are just as thrilled with it as we are. In fact, they're all just waiting for the next occasion that might have the slightest need for a videographer. (Look out, Jordan!)
