I really enjoy Tasty Pot especially during the cold weather these days. When you go in, the restaurant is spacious and just simple. You can scan a QR code and select your order from there. I usually get the kimchi dumpling soup, but this time I got the Sichuan soup. I ordered my food and it came out very quickly. The servers were very attentive & they checked in to see if we wanted more broth. The Sichuan soup was delicious. The only downside is it is a bit pricey at $25 & I personally prefer more meat to vegetables so I wish there was a bit more. There also is not customizations on the order form. The broth was delicious and had that tingly spiciness. If you're not really good with spice I would say definitely do medium or mild. It was a pretty big portion size I was able to have another full meal left over to take home.

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally went with a friend for lunch. I got the vegetable soup and it was so good! You choose your spice level and can add items to your soup if you want. They have a sauce bar so you can customize your soup even more! mine was $17.99 and it was huge!

Love their Thai flavor hot soup. Service is great and fast. Nice atmosphere with self served chili oil, green onions, chopped garlic , sesame oil etc. Their teas are great as well and be sure to grab a macaron ice cream ..

This was my first visit. The servers greeted us as soon as we walked in. The air smelled fresh & crisp. I noticed the floor had just been mopped and all the tables looked very clean. The servers work hard but quickly stop what they are doing to welcome customers and ask if it's your first time visiting (to provide ordering guidance). They thoroughly clean & wipe down tables as soon as customers leave. How to order: You pick a table to sit and scan the QR code on the table to view the menu and place your order. Our server brought our table ice water right away while we reviewed the menu. You select your soup, any add-on's, drinks and hit submit through your phone. Don't worry, based on the QR code you scan, the kitchen staff knows what table you are ordering from so don't worry about how they will identify you (like I did). One soup is large enough to serve two people. My husband and I shared the no# 8 Thai Flavor Hot Soup. It comes out piping hot over a burner so be careful not to burn your tongue. The broth is flavorful but you can elevate it even more by making your own special sauce. Head over to their sauce bar to make your own sauce. How to eat your soup: With your chopsticks, grab your food and dip it into your special sauce. Use your soup spoon to grab the broth - delicious! We overdid it with add-on's and quickly ran out of broth. It was a pleasant surprise when the server came over asking if we'd like a broth refill. 10/10 recommend this place!

    30. Quail Egg with a side of roach

I was honestly so excited to try Tasty Pot since it's the most loved hotpot in the area. We got the seafood hotpot with a side of quail eggs for takeout. Walking in, I just had to wait a little to get charged out and grabbed my food. This ended up costing about $30 for a single serving. Surprise surprise, the minute we opened the bag, there was a cockroach skin right on top of the lid of the quail egg, on top of the hotpot :) I actually asked the waitress to confirm we had utensils and she opened the bag to check and closed it again.. so that literally went unnoticed twice :( Given the price and quality, I don't see me recommending this place for anyone

Only been to this location once so maybe it was a dud but the broth was a bit lacking compared to other locations and felt a bit more watered down. Overall still tasty and would come back. Service was typical Asian restaurant where it's kept minimal and basic. Just get your food and that's it. Wasn't very pleasant eating while they were mopping the floor as scent of pine-sol was pretty overbearing and completely took over my smell/taste senses.

Wet floor, but where's the sign???

I went here on a Saturday night. There weren't that many people when my brothers and I got there. We ordered our food via a QR code that they have on the table. Once we placed our orders, it didn't take very long for the food to come. There is a sauce bar..not a great one but good enough. At other tasty pots the sauces are usually at the table. Also, the drink options are not the same as other tasty pot locations so that was another disappointment. When the food did come, I felt disappointed yet again. I had ordered the Japanese Miso Hotpot and it was supposed to come with enoki mushroom (which is what I was looking forward to having) but I kid you not there were only like 2 sprigs of enoki mushroom in that pot so i was honestly disappointed. Some of the other veggies that were put into the pot like the cabbage appeared like they weren't cleaned because it had black edges... I guess there's no quality control here. While we were eating, one of the staff was mopping the floor..it kinda looked like the mop was not wrung out very well because the floor was soaking wet. I looked around for a wet floor sign and there was literally just 1 at the entrance. That's a big no no to me because the intention of safety is not clearly laid out. I wanted to give this place a try because I had good experiences at the tasty pots I've been to before, but the overall experience was just disappointing.

The food was good a bit pricey but I really enjoyed it. The service was also good. The place is small and they have a toppings bar. This is the first time I have ever tried Taiwanese food and I was happy I chose to try jt.

I love Tasty Pot! After covid they started using plastic utensils and they still continued to use it now. The spoon is small so kind of hard to eat your soup. The Elk Grove location is my favorite but I live in Stockton so it's convenient to come here. They're usually always busy. I love going before 3 because they give you a tea with your meal and it's so refreshing. For dinner you only get water, but my food is usually on point. Love the sauce bar because you can get as much as you need.

The service here is impeccable. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The food comes out really quickly. Everything taste fresh and was very delicious. It's a lot of food for one person IMO, so definitely shareable. I will definitely come back to try another soup.

The food was not good. The beef soup had little flavor, and the egg rolls were doughy and mushy. I won't be returning.

Ask the Community - Tasty Pot

    Are they closed?

    We reopen on 12/3

What's the average price for one hot pot?

Like 12-20 bucks based on the soup you get. Taste pretty good though with it to go once or twice a month.

Does this business allow dine in?

Yes! I dined in a few days ago! There is limited seating following covid guidelines

I've seen some mixed reviews regarding dine-in/outdoor seating. Are these options still available or is it only takeout/delivery?…

I was able to eat at their outdoors seating last week. It didn't seem that dine-in (inside the building) was available. When I went, there was no line and was seated right away. Unsure about reservations.

Are they open on new years what will be the hours?

Are they closed? Been trying to call them since May 1 and there is no answer

They are going to open this weekend. You can try to call them this weekend to make sure.

    Does a tasty Pot deliver?

I believe they do deliver through Doordash.

I'm allergic to Cilantro. Which dishes should I avoid if I can't have cilantro?

    The ones with cilantro

Hello? I'm allergic to all rice product items such as rice oil, rice flour, rice vinegar and so on, and so on. . . I wondered if the vermicelli is made out of rice? And what are other options are there beside rice?

I believe that they are made of rice but if you called them I am sure that they can answer that question plus any other questions you may have.

Can you hire 15 year old with good grades that can provide work permit?

You should call the store and ask for the managers. If not, try emailing tasstypotstockton@gmail.com

    What time do they open?

Hi, their soft opening hour (12/26-12/31) 5pm-9:00pm .

The car show happened to take place in the same parking lot as K-Town, so we just decided to have dinner here instead of sitting in the drive-thru line at In-N-Out. The inside is modernly lit with lots of wood motif and black. Oversized lightbulbs filled with faux flower petals hang from the ceiling. A random cartoon plays on the wall TV. For a weekday dinner bbq, we paid about $37 per person with no additional hot pot add-on. We got a good spread of drinks (they have boba!), but they are also an additional cost. The AYCE includes access to the buffet area, which has sushi (sashimi!), buffalo wings, seafood boil, a bunch of fried/breaded offerings, and all the sauces/accoutrements for both hotpot and kbbq. I was impressed by the short rib marinade here. The beef was meaty with a good texture. Some of the cubed meats were a little tough but could be due to the way we cooked it. The pork belly was sliced too thin for my liking (too bacony). We got the cheese sticks from the buffet and reheated them over the grill and made our own version of a Chili's Triple Dipper. Service was fine. We placed our orders with a guy and he would come around occasionally for a grill change and taking away plates. Between the two KBBQ AYCE I've been to in Stockton recently, I think K-Town wins. Overall, I came out stuffed and would definitely return.

We got there at 530pm and it hadn't gotten too busy at that point. Greeted and seated immediately. We usually don't do the hot pot side (we will try it some day) but the variety of meats were exactly what we normally order. We usually only do beef, but they have seafood, chicken and pork too. The salad and hot bar had quite a few options, and again I always defer to my favorites. Kim Chi, Pickled Daikon, etc etc. you'll have to check it out. Pretty big restaurant, feels spacious, and you're not right on top of your neighbor. We love that we can stay local and not have to travel to Elk Grove/Stockton Our server was friendly and attentive. I have been supporting this place ever since we used to live in the area, and recently we returned for dinner. The prices are still super affordable, and the portion sizes are good for what you pay. I got the shrimp pad kee mao and my husband got the beef pad Thai. $14 for a shrimp dish in this economy? And $12 for other proteins? An absolute steal. I chose medium spicy for both, since I knew their medium spicy isn't very spicy. Both dishes didn't take very long to arrive. The flavors were just as solid as I remembered. My husband loved his pad Thai too, especially since he loves tamarind, and Royal Siam serves their pad Thai with stronger notes of tamarind. Do note that they also use thin noodles here for their pad Thai. My noodles were perfectly bouncy and soaked up all the delicious sauce without being soggy. My pad kee mao came with 6 pieces of juicy, deveined shrimp with the tail still on. Our waters were constantly refilled, and even though it was a quiet evening with only another couple dining in (it was also pretty late), our server was very thankful for us coming in. I'm glad that even after all these years, Royal Siam continues to serve delicious Thai food in Stockton. We shall continue to support them for the years to come whenever we're in the area and craving Thai food.

Arriving at this building situated on the corner of the 5 freeway exit and Benjamin Holt, it's painted dark grey with plenty of parking. I was confused on where the front door is, but it's the one with the black awning and railings around it. The inside is very industrial with lots of black/grey. KPop plays loudly throughout. Pricing is around $34 per person, which is not bad considering you not only get kbbq meats to grill, but a buffet area with all types of goodies. The buffet area consisted of typical kbbq accoutrements (raw garlic, fresh jalapeno, kimchi, japchae, pickled radish, etc.), but also ribs, fried chicken wings, sushi (!!!), Mexican fare (Spanish rice, beans, foil-wrapped burritos?, nacho cheese/chips, pickled jalapeno/carrots), and some dessert options. We were seated immediately and the person waiting on us provided instructions on how to order (through your phone using a QR code). I liked this method since it allowed us to order whenever we felt ready instead of having to flag someone down. Most everything came by robot so that was cool. Service by the human was great since it was really only us in the restaurant for a majority of our meal. Waters refilled constantly and frequent grill changes. We mainly ordered the beef options and one pork belly. I would avoid the intestines here as they did not taste fresh nor great. There are also made-to-order apps like the corn cheese ramen. This was tasty and big enough to share with at least 3 people. The buffet bar items were just OK. Skip the sushi here as it is definitely catered to people who like grocery store sushi. Appreciated that there was such a large variety even if the quality isn't top-tier. After our meal, we both agreed this place was only OK and fulfilled our kbbq craving for a while.

We've been coming since opening month. At the beginning, they were on the mark! Amazing quality, selection, service, you name it. We brought friends and family here instead of driving out of town for other chains. But then they began changing the menu, messing with the prices, and abandoning quality checks. 1.) They took away the made-to-order appetizers. 2.) They added a sushi bar, and I'm lead to believe it's unpopular because every time we leave, we see the same dried out pieces from when we first arrived 3.) Prices fluctuate across every visit and the menu items that come with each tier, are adjusted. Once upon a time, I would've been happy to pay higher prices, had they just left things alone and stayed true. Now, every visit entails something new, from menu items to prices. Dining out is too expensive to jerk customers around, at $35/person (not including premium meat tiers/premium appetizers/drinks/tips/etc.) We will not be coming back. *the staff are courteous and we have never had any issue with them.
