First sip of this hit me with that fridge taste :( I can kind of taste the black tea after the fridge taste or something but not sure I could taste any molasses or cocoa notes. And here I thought you could never go wrong with a classic black milk tea. I usually get their Gyokuro Honey Green Tea--perfectly yummy, definitely my go-to. Also had the Brown Sugar Milk Tea: I'm all for a sweet drink but even this one was too sweet for me. I stopped by Rose Tea Lounge and tried their pop-up friend shop inside the store (Rang). I asked for the Pandan Matcha without coconut flakes, but they accidentally placed in coconut flakes. It was no big deal. The Pandan added a sweet fragrant note that went well with the matcha, and it made it flavorful and easy to drink. There was also a solid caffeine kick, which gave me the energy I needed for the rest of the day. Was craving for some boba tea while visiting Stockton and decided to try Rose Tea Lounge Stockton location since I am familiar with the one in Elk Grove. I paid using Apple Pay but the machine does accept card. As for cash, not sure since it was all self-service. I ordered three drinks: Kyoto Milk Tea, Thai Tornado, and Matcha Marble. They taste just as good as the Elk Grove location! They call your order number or you receive a text when your drinks are ready (enter number in kiosk). I didn't have to wait too long since we got our drinks during the evening hours and not many customers were there. The Rose Tea Lounge Stockton location is having a Rang Coffee pop-up every Wednesday - Sunday from 10AM - 4PM. These matchas are amazinggggg!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Every time i have gone the service is extremely quick and the building is fairly empty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have tried both the strawberry and biscoff matchas. I will say my favorite is the biscoff, i got mine at 75% sweetness and it was delicious, however, my sister really liked hers at 100% so it's really about preference but just know it is still real great at 75%. I went for the rang pop up drinks that was going viral online. Specifically for the mango sticky rice matcha. Of course I missed the timing. It was from 10AM-4PM. So I ordered the matcha marble, matcha latte w/ boba, and ube taro fresh milk w/ mochi, and my fav the coconut matcha. They are having Rang Coffee drinks every Wed-Sunday from 10-4pm, so my cousin and I decided to try it. Luckily, it wasn't too busy when we got there at around 1:30pm. However, it did pick up a bit and since you order via the kiosk, it can take up some time to place an order. The baristas whisked the matcha by hand, which is something you don't see too often at busier cafes that sell matcha! I got the Earl Grey Matcha Latte and it was so good!! I absolutely love coming here! I will say it's a little more independent, I've never ordered at the counter and sometimes I like that. They have one kiosk/tablet in the corner where they have good photos and explanations of each drink. I got the dirty matcha latte with boba and oat milk and it was the perfect amount of sweetness (as a diabetic) lol! Well I think this is my updated review. So after my first visit I was not happy with their ordering system, but putting that aside I have to say the quality of drinks (and options) is outstanding. I asked the lady about their Taro and they apparently make it there, which is a lot better than using the powder. My Taro drink was so good I ended up adding some milk at the end just to get more of the Taro jelly! The price is a bit high for market value, but their packaging and service is on point. The to go bags make you feel like you just walked away from a Tiffany's store... Just kidding! Excellent drinks that really use the best ingredients with many flavor add ins and sugar levels. The older lady that works at this place should not make the pop-up drinks as they do not make drinks correctly. The color of the matcha is not even green, more like a dirty sewer color. Lack of mango, and just all milk and ice. We went back in to try to state that it looks very off from the usual times we order and they insisted it was correct. Welcoming environment with awesome decorum. The customer service could be better as they aren't attentive to my liking but some may prefer to order from an iPad rather than person interaction. The drink of choice was their Thai Tornado. It was perfectly balanced with sweetness and cream! I would have preferred more boba as the portion size wasn't ideal but nevertheless I enjoyed the drink. we came here for my nephews birthday because of the labubu jelly they have.you can only order on the kiosk and they only have one kiosk so the line easy got backed up. they had plenty of options so choosing was hard. I went here before my class in Stockton. The service was okay. You have to order through a kiosk tablet system they have in the front entrance of the establishment. There was no employee to customer interaction what's so ever. Inside the store was very nice and clean. There were only 4 people total inside the establishment when I was in. The ambiance was nice with nice fixtures around. The drink I ordered when I came to try it out was the "Matcha Marble". The drink was very tasty and delightful. It was very delicious and it was exactly what I was looking for in a matcha drink from a boba/ milk tea shop. I give this establishment an overall 4/5 stars. As I walked into this location, the first thing I noticed was the black and gold design colors. Black painted accent wall and shiny black tiled counter. Next I noticed the menu board didn't have any prices. I thought that was a bit odd. Then I realized there is self help kiosk where you order and pay. Card payments are the only accepted payment method. They don't take bank notes aka paper money. Also you must provide your cell phone number. This is to give you an order number. I can see this ordering method being preferred for deaf and non verbal individuals. But if you need to ask questions, like myself. You can ring the bell at the counter to alert a staff person to the counter. I did. There is a small sign noting that on the wall menu board. The drink menu had alot of drink options and options for: sweetness level, ice level, milk choice, and boba (crystal or regular). Sooo many choices. This will definitely put your decision making abilities to work. I ordered several drinks and flavored sour cream and chives French fries. The drinks were for other folks and I forgot to order my own. D'oh. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and liked that they didn't use HFCS. I've visited their Elk Grove location previously and had a good experience with their drinks there - I happened to be in the Stockton area so decided to come back for a cup 'o boba! I tried the Tropical Paradise drink ($6) which was an alishan oolong tea, mixed with passion fruit, orange juice, and topped with fruit chunks. The drink was very tart and a tad bit bitter. I typically enjoy passion fruit-flavored drinks, but I found the passion fruit seeds unpleasant to drink because the crunchiness of it lol.
