    March 16, 2025 Kouame

I recently had the experience of planning my daughter's wedding at Tate House March 16, 2025, and unfortunately, it was not the pleasant experience we had hoped for. While the venue itself is lovely, with beautiful architecture but management left much to be desired. First and foremost, I had several concerns regarding the food during the Bridal Tasting/ Open House which I brought directly to Kelly, our wedding planner. Both my daughter and her fiancé found the food lacking, and the cake was disappointingly dry. During one of our meetings, the chef had promised us two new dishes would be featured during the tasting, but they were absent. When I expressed my concerns to Kelly, she informed me that the owner had advised against personal tastings and shockingly stated that she would refund all my money. This was particularly disheartening, especially with only three weeks left until the wedding. It felt as if my concerns were met with complete disregard. I kept asking Kelly, how did we get here. I never asked for my money back. So my advice is to not express your concerns because Kelly and owner was quick to cancel our daughter's wedding. On the day of the wedding, we encountered significant staffing issues. Kelly had assured us that there would be plenty of staff available to assist, but that was not the case. The lack of support was evident and added unnecessary stress during what should have been a joyful occasion. Kelly herself appeared agitated and flustered, which only compounded the situation. Moreover, her behavior towards our guests was unacceptable. She was rude and dismissive, and I witnessed her being particularly harsh with my new son in law, insisting they leave the premises in an aggressive manner. This type of treatment is not what you would expect from a wedding venue of this caliber. To make matters worse, the owner was rude to my sister further highlighting a lack of professionalism. The owner never introduced herself to us. She walked past us several times without even noticing our presence. We discovered that she was the owner because we saw her picture on the website. My sister (bride's aunt) said before the wedding she had to go to the restroom. The owner said "where are you going go sit down." Very rude!! In the wedding industry, hospitality and personal connection are crucial, and we left feeling disappointed by the lack of engagement from the owner. Despite Kelly's promise to check on us throughout the day, I only saw her once in the bridal cottage. This lack of oversight contributed to delays that made our bridal party late for key moments during the wedding. On a positive note, Cindy, Kelly's assistant, was a bright spot in our experience. She was friendly, approachable, and genuinely helpful, providing a much-needed contrast to Kelly's demeanor. Additionally, I had to ask multiple times for the card box to be placed out during the reception--a request that Kelly brushed off, claiming she was too busy. To my disbelief, she had locked it away in a closet during the event. In conclusion, while Tate House has the potential to be a beautiful venue, the overall management and service fell far short of expectations. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and disregard for our concerns overshadowed what should have been a joyous occasion. I would advise other couples to carefully consider their options before choosing Tate House for their wedding. A wedding should be a celebration, and I regret that ours was marred by these challenges. I hope the management takes this feedback to heart, as enhancing the personal touch could significantly improve the overall experience for future couples.

The Tate House is BEAUTIFUL! What a gorgeous spot to have a Spring Wedding. My best guy friend finally got married!!! The day was perfect as it had rained the night before. The wedding took place in an open, gazebo type space that was pristine! I couldn't think of a better place to exhange vows. After the wedding vows were exchanged we moved to the open courtyard while we sipped on 1 of two drink offerings. That was about an hour, while the bridal party took photos. From there we were seated for dinner. Let me tell you, this was the BEST wedding meal I have had to date! I had salmon. You may think you can't go wrong with salmon, but trust me, you can. It was cooked perfectly with mashed potatoes and green beans. I cleaned my plate. While eating we were offered beer and/or wine, while the DJ played. It was a great day and a memorable wedding for my homie.

I recently went to a wedding at this venue and let me just say it was GORGEOUS! They offer tours of the house while you're there for the wedding so I thought that was pretty cool. It was beautiful and organized and the staff was amazing. If I could do my wedding over it's want it to be here!

Our interaction with Brent and his mom (Miss Mary) were great, and I will say, I think it was an extra treat to experience the hospitality of Miss Mary!! Clearly, Brent didn't fall far from the tree (no pun intended)! We booked the 'Rustic Cabin Suite' which was their lowest price room available at the time, but it was well furnished, comfortable, quiet, and perfect for a place to stay for two. It was quiet, peaceful, and tranquil. Don't forget to take advantage of the Carin winery next door, and I hear (we missed out) the lodge offers an add on steak dinner (plan in advance) that sounds divine, and in that environment, will be on our list for our next visit! The lodge itself is well-appointed with a beautiful seating/gathering/eating area downstairs. Breakfast was great with a menu of French toast and apple bake, sausage, fresh fruit, orange juice and some of the best flavored coffee I've had in a LONG time (bourbon infused pecan). Beautiful grounds, beautiful people (Brent, Miss Mary, and fellow guests) and you can't go wrong with a stay at the beautiful Bent Tree Lodge and Vineyard!!

Retreat to a cozy bed & breakfast nestled in the North Georgia Mountains that offers a hot breakfast and a day exploring wine. The main house/lodge boasts a beautiful living space with towering fireplace, lounge area, and tables for the morning's complimentary hot breakfast. The morning we were there they had a blueberry French toast bake with compote blueberries, a sweet cream cheese icing, and paired with fruit and sausage. I got to see one of the rooms, The Garden room, that has a swing bed outside to take in the winery views! Behind the lodge is the Cairn View Winery, where we stayed above the tasting room in the Gibbs Suite. A large room where you open to an opulent bathroom with two vanities, a large walk-in shower, and the best dual soaker tub for relaxing. But, the centerpiece of the room is the large comfy king bed, floral accent pillow, gorgeous green accent wall and decor! It screams garden. Plus, you can walk out the door and right into the founders and members den to watch the winery action below. The den is decked out in cow patterns, dark leather, and is plush and inviting. Don't forget the snacks! All snacks, cookies, water and soda in the room are complimentary to overnight guests.

My husband had scheduled a massage as a gift for that afternoon. This was probably the worst experience I have had. The therapist was poor in her execution, style and even manner. Before my treatment even started she mentioned an up charge for deep tissue. During my treatment she burped two times and her massage was far from relaxing her massage etiquette as a therapist was poor and as it was my birthday it sort of ruined my whole experience there, which was a shame. I did reach out to the B&B and provided my feedback, was told the spa manager (Tanya) would reach out but she never did. Heard back from the B&B manager and she told me the owner would give me a $50 dollar credit to my treatment the next time! We live almost two hours away so will not be planning on using that any time soon. To be honest after that experience I would not go back to the spa. The b&b was lovely the massage experience not so.

Title: A Blissful Retreat at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa…read more Rating: (5/5) My partner and I recently enjoyed a two-day stay at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the impeccable service and breathtaking surroundings left us utterly enchanted. Firstly, I must commend Alex, the multi-talented front desk manager and concierge. Her warm welcome and exceptional hospitality set the tone for our entire stay. Alex not only ensured a smooth check-in but also provided us with valuable information about the resort and nearby attractions. Her dedication to making our stay memorable was truly impressive. Our mornings were filled with culinary delights thanks to the talented chefs, Michael and Linda. There are always 2 courses, and they typically feature some local produce and meats. Michael's breakfast creations on day one were a delightful surprise, with flavors that danced on our taste buds, especially the sausage! Linda, the breakfast chef on day two, continued the culinary excellence with a delectable breakfast that left us craving for more. The eggs with asparagus were amazing and I am super picky about my eggs. Rebecca, the waitress, deserves a special mention for her attentive and friendly service during our meals. She made dining a pleasure, always ready with a smile and quick to accommodate any request. Carla, the kitchen helper, and Cassidy, another member of the front desk and concierge team, contributed to the overall smooth operation of the inn. Their dedication behind the scenes did not go unnoticed, and it's evident that the entire staff at Lucille's is a well-oiled machine. Desserts are also served in the evening and the guests serve themselves and typically joined in the common areas, reading, chatting or playing one of the several board games available. It was delightful way to unwind. The highlight of our stay was the couples massage at the spa, a truly rejuvenating experience. The spa staff exhibited professionalism and skill, creating a tranquil atmosphere that allowed us to unwind and connect on a deeper level. Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa is a place where luxury meets nature, and where every staff member goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The stunning mountain views, the impeccable service, and the attention to detail make this an oasis of relaxation and romance. We can't wait to return to this hidden gem in the mountains. Thank you, Lucille's, for making our stay unforgettable.
