Of course, all I could think about is if I leave too early and my polish messes up I'm sure they're gonna say this was my fault. Anyway, just that little piece of lack of communication and for such a large place, lack of dryers for the toenails is enough to make me not return. I live in New York and I compare it to that where your nails are treated like gold Before you leave, someone comes over and they're very serious about making sure you have drying spray and wrapping your nails in cellophane and they do it with care and commitment because they know they just did a really good job and they don't want to mess it up or have to redo it. Once the paint job was done I became invisible. I'm sorry I left a $10 tip for $30 pedicure.

She's meticulous with her work and honest when it comes to the kind of design or color you might be asking for. If you show her a photo of something you like, she will tell you if it can be done or not, and how it will come out based on what type of polish you are getting. I've come to her with ideas and have left both times with amazing nails (and endless compliments night I add - everyone always asks where I get them done) Van is a one woman show. She manages her own calendar and does both the manicures and pedicures as she works in a salon and is the only manicurist there. She is awesome! She's easy to talk to and you won't feel rushed during your appointment. The salon is easy to find, has plenty of street parking, and the hair stylists there are all friendly and welcoming. If you're going to book with Van, be sure to book ahead (like 3 weeks ahead) because she's just that amazing that her schedule books quick but she is accommodating and will make something work :)

I had a great first experience and it was just as great today. I had Lin. I told her I had a sensitive spot on one of my cuticles and she handled it with great care. They're in a big plaza with Pavillions so parking is never an issue. They also have 4-5 people working at any time so you can actually get in and even do it with a friend.

She knew exactly what she wanted -- an acrylic French tip full set -- and had already explained it over the phone beforehand. When she got there and repeated what she wanted, the staff acted irritated and told her she needed to "specify," even though she had already done that. Instead of trying to help or communicate professionally, they made the situation uncomfortable and dismissive. One employee also loudly rushed them while they were still choosing colors, even after telling them to take their time. No one should feel disrespected or unwelcome when they are paying for a service. Customer service here was poor and because of that they ended up leaving without getting anything done.
