I've gone through square nails, oval nails, coffin nails, almond nails with her. She never pushes anything on you and always has the integrity of your nails in mind. She is meticulous and artistic, and her shop is clean, cozy, and easy to find. I'm so proud of what she's accomplished! I started off with chewed off, uneven, thin nails but now I'm thriving. Her tools were incredibly clean and she used a clean nail file for my hands and have it to me after our appointment was done. She gave me a custom nail color I really like by mixing several colors together and it couldn't have been better. I did hard gel on my nails with a Russian manicure and it was only $70 for everything which in my opinion is a very reasonable price. My nails were very weak from over drilling at other nail salons but they are starting to grow healthy thanks to the techniques Kesnia used. Will definitely come back to Kesnia!

Martin does my nails, and he's always kind, professional, and somehow manages to bring my random little nail ideas to life. One thing I really appreciate is how open he is to feedback. You never know how a nail tech will take it when you want to tweak something, but Martin always listens and makes adjustments without making it uncomfortable. That's huge for me because it makes the whole experience feel easy and respectful. The whole team is attentive too. They've offered me water every visit, and sometimes even snacks while I'm there. It's those small touches that make the place feel welcoming. The spa chairs are a hit btw, and I also love the mini hand/foot massage at the end. It's such a nice extra. Yen does my pedicures, and she's wonderful too. She's thorough, gentle, and consistently does a great job. I know gel nails with designs can get expensive fast, but M Nails Studio has been really fair with pricing, especially for the quality and detail. Nina is great, I always try to book with her. She introduced me to builder gel / hard gel polish, which I consistently get now. Ideal way to grow out and strengthen your nails without adding too much length. Nina is a pro at them. I've had several people do my toes and haven't had a poor experience. I recommend Iohki / Aoki if she's available. There are massage chairs here for enjoyment. I don't get too adventurous with my nails - just solid colors for me. Still, I've seen plenty of ladies come through for colorfully elaborate designs. All in all, I highly recommend this nail shop if you're around the Toluca Lake, Burbank, Studio City, Van Nuys or North Hollywood areas. This is well-situated and I personally like that it's not on a very major street. Pay via credit card, cash, Zelle, Venmo, etc. I really appreciate that they offer so many options for payment, as a number of other small shops require cash. This nail shop is in a strip mall next to a pizza place and a Thai spot. There's free parking in the lot, but spacing is tight and the area gets busy. Come a little early!

Acrylic nail removal process was excruciatingly painful, the drill that was used removed my real nail bed in addition to the fake nail. I kept telling the technician I was in pain and she did not stop drilling. 3. I was duped by their high star rating on Yelp- however, their original Yelp page titled "A Touch Of Beauty" has a much lower overall rating. Seems a bit odd they have a second Yelp page called "A Touch Of Beauty Nail Spa" with a higher rating. Note, the address on both Yelp pages is the same so it's definitely the same business. I would not come back here for the reasons stated above.

The owner of Guru Nail Bar, Lily, has another location in Sherman Oaks called Beautevo on Ventura Blvd. Now, I've been to this location when it was Lily 1 and Guru Nail Bar, and then again once it was Lily 2 and The Beauty Stop. I had been going to Guru Nail Bar for my regular appts about every 2 weeks since Nov '23. I stopped in on a whim around Thanksgiving and got the best manicure I've ever had. So I decided to keep going there even though I live nowhere near it. I went as usual in early April and then I was out of town for several weeks. When I got back, I went in for my usual upkeep. It took me two visits to realize the place had been sold and was under new ownership but I knew the instant I walked in for that first appt in early May that something was radically different. The vibe had completely changed. There were new faces but that didn't faze me. It was the energy in the salon - it was a bit more frenetic. Whereas prior the space was calm and chill. I also noticed that while my nails always looked great, they weren't lasting as long. So, I hunted down Lily 1 and her other shop (I knew she had another location because she had referenced it on other occasions). It's Beautevo in Sherman Oaks.
