She liked the omelette but the eggs Benedict was absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked poached eggs and everything tasted great. Unfortunately the service made us feel uncomfortable. The server, who was blonde with glasses (did not get her name) seemed not happy to be serving us. To be fair, it was incredibly busy and she was on her own. But she wasn't the nicest before it got busy either. It's too bad because the food really was top notch. I want to order the French onion soup next time. And all of the benedicts. Yes, all. French onion soup was big & good. The accompanying Texas toast was big - it wasn't floating in the soup like bread in other French onion soups. This was good: you can plunge it into the soup if you want, keep it crispy or do both Rib skillet was very tender & fall-off-the-bone, with lovely marbling. The sauce was more subtle than all the ribs I've had in my life (but one). YMMV: I prefer a more robust flavour. It was still good, but subtle Holiday Dinner with Yorkshire pudding was good. It was a modern Sunday Roast. Even the vegetables had a good flavour. Yorkshire pudding was decent (it could be lighter). The other components were better. The beef was very tender but a bit salty (I have a high salt tolerance). The horseradish was very mild (I don't like horseradish normally but it was good here). Apparently the breakfast here is top notch. I didn't have the breakfast. I'd swear on a stack of bibles (or pancakes) that I didn't. What did I have you may be wondering. Let me get to it. I actually almost forget. I went a few days ago. It was steak. I'd swear it was steak. Was it steak? (I'm asking my wife). Yes it was steak and roasted potatoes. There were vegetables too. I don't want you thinking they didn't also give vegetables because they did. Dessert was also had. I had the cinnamon bun. I also had tea. I've heard a lot about this restaurant over the last few weeks, and so I finally decided to get myself out and give it a try. While the food was relatively good, I was a little at a loss to explain exactly what everyone was talking about. We ordered the Florentine eggs Benedict and the Hungry Person Breakfast. Both were good, but both also had problems. I'll start with the Benedict. As far as taste goes, it was definitely the best part of the dish. Flavours were bold and delicious. The home fries that went with it were really good too. But there were some technical difficulties with the star of the show. Most importantly, the eggs were overcooked. And not just a little. Since they go to the trouble to ask if you want the yolks runny, they should also deliver. And one of the two halves of English muffin was very very crusty. Like nearly impossible to cut through, even with the steak knife it was served with. The Hungry Person plate also had its good and bad points. First off, it was smaller than what I'm used to, but pricier than most other places. 3 bacon, 3 sausage, eggs, homefries, and toast. Many places also include ham - they don't here. Everything was cooked well though, and it was nice that they included some small bits of fruit on the plate. The star was by far the homefries, which were incredible. Again though, there was what I would consider quite a small portion of them. The restaurant itself is quaint and easy to sit in. And the staff are friendly and welcoming. We got there when only 2 other tables had people at them, but it still took quite a long time to get our food after ordering. Not crazy long, but longer than most other places. And although not incredibly overpriced, I did find the prices a little high for what was on offer. The eggs Benny, Hungry Person meal, a side of bacon, and one tea - after all was said and done was over $42. I'm sure I'll give the place another shot, but I also think I'm going to try a bunch of other places first read more

Yep, I'm going there with a five star review! I went for brunch with some friends this past Saturday after a baseball tournament. We had to sit at different tables because there was 10 of us without a resso. I ordered the florentine eggs Benny. It was fantastic! The home made hollandaise sauce was unreal. The flavour of the spinach, mushrooms, goat cheese and onions just melded together so nicely. I could eat that for breakfast every day. Their hash browns were portioned generously and were perfectly seasoned. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his chicken sandwich, too. He felt the size was satisfying and liked how it was crispy it was. Even though my beverage didn't make its way to the table, I'm not going to hinder the rating because the food was incredible. A girlfriend who doesn't always enjoy home made hollandaise sauce tried some and really liked it. I 100% will recommend this place for brunch to anyone who is looking. Don't forget to check out their special board. There must've been 6 other eggs Benny options including duck breast, roast beef and avocado bacon. read more

Unfortunately I cannot give this placemail positive feedback...went with my family, ( son and his children) for breakfast The service was horrible waited over an hour and 1/2 for our food and it wasn't even busy, we got cold food and tasted old and stale reheated from days before the home fries were deep fried and burnt which I returned and she told me that's how they were supposed to be lol she brought me new one's which tasted like they just dug the potatoes out of the earth without washing them and thrown in the dirty oil. My biggest issue was how the waitress talked about her problems and how she couldn't wait to finish work to smoke her weed on her drive home in front of my grandchildren which I found very unprofessional and inappropriate. Maybe the owner should consider hiring a better cook to start and definitely talk to the staff about inappropriate conversations in front of underage children absolutely appalling I would be embarrassed to recommend this place to anyone. This place is a hidden gem in Queensville. I honestly didn't think I was going to find it as I was driving along Queensville Sideroad. But there it was. It's a cute little bar that serves the usual pub fair. I was meeting for lunch with some of my girlfriends and what a great choice! I'd heard from one of the girls that their breakfasts are on point. So that's what I decided to go with. I chose their Crabcake Eggs Benny. Served on top of 2 English muffins and underneath 2 perfectly poached eggs, drenched in hollandaise, with home fries. Omg. Delicious! I added 3 brekkie sausages on the side because, why not? Holy smokes, guys, it was a-mazing! If you haven't been here it is definitely worth the drive to Queensvile. I can't speak for my companions, however they did say that their dishes were great as well. The atmosphere is comfortable relaxed and the staff were very nice. Now, the only reason why I gave it 4 stars was because of the lemon aioli that was spread on top of the English muffins. It was a thin layer, not slathered on, but I found it a bit too tangy towards the end that I just ate the crab cakes and left a bit of the muffins. But I would still recommend it! read more

After driving by Tatlows for several years and thinking it was a Tattoo parlor, I heard from a friend that it was not only a restaurant but a fantastic place to visit. We have since been there twice, once as a couple and the second time with one of our sons. There is a small parking lot in front and when you enter the restaurant you are greeted with a very warm and inviting atmosphere. The first time was a Saturday night, so we did wait about 10 minutes, no problem since it gave us time to review the specials. Once seated, our drink order was taken and we continued to ponder over the menu. This is one of the hidden surprises. This place has everything from Chicken Fingers & Poutine to Lamb Chops & Lobster. The prices also range, so don't be afraid to stop in and experience what they have to offer. My husband ordered the Mussels, no surprise, but here's the deal. I don't like Mussels. I love seafood, but Mussels are just plain gross. Well, let me tell you, I am now a Mussel convert. At least at Tatlows. The crusty bread combined with the tomato-garlic broth and the mussels, had me eating half of my husbands appetizer. I can't honestly remember what we ordered for our main dish, it was good I'm sure, but I the mussels were just so amazing. We went back a second time, with our son, who not surprisingly had the Chicken Fingers, his order was so large, he didn't finish it. Most likely because we ordered the mussels again and the three of us polished those off quickly, not leaving a whole lot of room for the main dish. I get lost everyone I try to find this place I always go the wrong way and end up having to turn a million turns but it's worth it. I have the preface by saying my mom makes the best cinnamon rolls in the world, but these guys are a close second! So order it! I love that these guys take the traditional breakfast and add to it. My wife and I have been to Tatlow's a couple of times and enjoyed our food each time. They are especially known for their eggs benedict variations, which we found to be particularly good. We went here to celebrate my sisters wedding anniversary as a table of 12. The food all came out at the same time and was hot. Everybody loved their food, it was very enjoyable. From the outside I wouldn't have necessarily stopped to eat there, but what a surprise. This really is a great little restaurant. If you were driving by, you'd never notice it. It's not a fancy restaurant....its a small little village restaurant. It's menu is rather fantastic actually, not because it is huge or dramatic in some way. But just because it is simple, yet broad enough if covers everything one might want to for a nice relaxed breakfast, brunch, lunch or even dinner. The place looks like a greasy spoon from the outside, but the meals are much better then the outer look of the place. The environment also feels homely which was nice too as it felt like a small diner. I went there to meet some friends who lived in the area for lunch. All our dishes that we got were done up really nicely and everyone enjoyed their meals, probably surpassing what we were expecting. As everyone else notes, Eggs Benedict do seem to be their specialty and half of our crowd got those. I'm giving it 5 stars for its unsuspecting quality of food and service, the breadth of the menu options and the relaxed environment. Being in a small town 10 minutes north of Newmarket, When you first pull up you may think twice about going in BUT the food here is amazing! Been here multiple times for breakfast / brunch and never been let down. The smoked salmon eggs Benedict is delicious.
