    Kids menu chocolate chunk pancakes
    Cynthia C.

Was in uxbridge and wanted to try out this restaurant. We put in our order of peameal Benny, skillet and kids chocolate chunk pancakes. Waited over 30 minutes for our order and noticed people that sat down got their food before us. Asked the waitress when our food is arriving and they went to check and said shortly. I believe the waitress did not put in our order, she got the order wrong because out came the mushroom Benny. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to wait longer for our food and the boys were hungry. The food was tasty, but the service was lacking, took a long time for the waitress to notice we needed our water refilled and for her to get the POS to pay. Tipped accordingly based on the lack of service and will not be back. If they knew that our order was this late, they should've at least apologized or gave a discount. It's too bad because the food was decent.

I was reading online reviews first before I picked this place for a Sunday brunch with family. We've made reservations online which is easily done and we chose to sit inside which is cool and comfortable. One star is lost because of the wait time for our food. Which took 50 mins, the server only came around after 30 mins of ordering to ask how we are doing, and just then she said she helped us rush our order. The food portion is quite nice and everything is made fresh. We upgrade the side from home fries to Organic greens which they are very fresh. I would recommend this restaurant to others, but keep in mind about their long wait time.

I always enjoy a good breakfast, especially on a Saturday morning. Was tired of the usual suspects, so decided to drive up to Uxbridge to checkout this place as it seemed highly recommended by fellow yelpers. Decor 5/5 The place is quite swanky. They do serve lunch and dinner as well, so it had a very modern clean vibe to it. Service 4/5 Our server was nice, but she started off with a bit of an attitude ( not sure why) but she got better as time went on. Food 5/5 Excellent. Farm fresh eggs, everything was quality. I ordered the classic breakfast with the sausage and it was huge! Also order the eggs benny, really good. I especially liked the bread, it must be made in house. Great place for brekkie, would definitely go again. Follow me @jarrodeats on Instagram

Urban Pantry Restaurant is a perfect lunch/dinner spot in Uxbridge. I will suggest making a reservation as the place was packed even on a weekday for lunch!! I guess "country' life is way more relaxing and everyone really takes their time. If you are in a rush, it is not a good place as service can be a tad slow. We arrived when the restaurant opens and thus beat the rush. Patio still opens for late fall but we opted to sit in the main dining room. Menu is seasonal and great if you want to eat some healthy food prepared with local fresh ingredients. Lake Erie Perch ($19) pan seared, curry israeli couscous salad, arugula, toasted almonds, dried cranberries, salsa verde Duck ($18) kale, pickled beets, quinoa, pepitas, pickled red onions, honey lemon vinaigrette Fish was seared perfectly with crispy skin. Duck has this nice smokey flavour. Certified FeastON restaurant if you want a taste of what Ontario offers! https://feaston.ontarioculinary.com/

Super slow service. Took like 25 minutes to get the food. Mediocre food. The waitress didn't care to talk about options to substitute salad for fries, which we later find out it's possible. End up stuck with unhealthy fries

Portions are decent the food is fresh and well prepared. My friends and I visited Urban Pantry after going to a farm in the area to pick pumpkins. They ordered salads and a pasta dish. I went for the soba noodles (pictured). We went at around 3pm and our party of 5 was seated right away. The food tasted healthy and fresh and while the waitress was not super enthusiastic the service was all right. The restaurant seemed clean and well maintained, and the menu was unique and not cookie cutter. The foo was not overly flavourful but it was yummy. I think if you're looking to lunch in the area and are tired of diners to give this a try. Their prices were not bad either considering they tout themselves as farm to table.

Amazing spot. This is my best friends favorite restaurant and she and her husband brought me there today. Apperantly their breakfast is to die for. However today is Good Friday and breakfast is only served on weekends (and only until 12). We showed up at 11:30 (when it opens) for lunch. Got a seat at a high table at the back. Usually I find high tables uncomfortable but this one wasn't at all. We shared the charcuterie board with the cheese and OMG amazing. Totally worth every penny. So many special unique items. Pork belly, cured lard, stewed peaches, beets... literally everything you could ask for. My friends both got the special which was fish and chips. It smelled great and neither left even a crumb on their plate. I got the corn, jalapeño, potato, ham soup and a veggie sandwhich. I loved the soup and the bread my sandwhich was on. It could have used some goat cheese or a nice tangy flavour but it was very different from other veggie sandwhiches I've had. It was roasted (not pan fried) and had cauliflower, beets, artichokes, brussel sprouts, an avocado mousse and a yogurt spread on it. My friend got local beers. Second wedge brewery is around the corner and I tried the blonde ale. It was delishious. I also got an African blosson tea (I think it was called that).. it was very nice. I highly suggest a visit to the bathroom. The hand Cream is locally made and amazing. Definitely a new favorite spot. If you have time I'd suggest checking out the brewery and Vinces grocery store.

It was all delicious! My friends had the Double Smashed Burger, Bison Mac Pizza, Jerk Chicken Pizza, and Beef Tip Rigatoni. I had the Butter Chicken. Following our delicious meal, we were treated to a sampling of smoked meats and sides from their smokehouse trailer. As full as we were, we really enjoyed this. It was all good! If you're unfamiliar with Slabtown, you'll have to check them out. They have a huge patio, with covered areas in case of poor weather, wide open spaces, excellent food, ciders and beer made on site, and just a really nice vibe.

I met up with friends at Slabtown Cider last Saturday to celebrate our birthdays. We were a group of six. We made a reservation, which put our minds at ease. There was apparently a two-hour dining limit. We stayed longer, so it's more of a guideline. I have been to downtown Uxbridge. This eatery is in the middle of nowhere, but it's so beautiful when you arrive. There's lots of greenery. The open air was nice. There are apple orchards. It's a charming place. We had a 4:30 pm reservation. I got here at around 4:15 pm. Most parking spots were taken in the main area. Luckily, there was extra parking further back. I managed to find a decent parking spot and backed into it. Mosquitoes love me. I put on my NATPAK patches to ward them off. I love them so much because they work. I reckon that we were here for three hours. I escaped without a single bite. Yay! Two of my friends were out in the patio area. I went to join them. There was a wedding party outdoors. The only downside was having a female staffer tell me that this area was for a private event and I had to go around. As someone who was trying to figure things out for the first time, it was helpful. However, it was her tone that had a tinge of annoyance that I didn't appreciate. It was my first time figuring out where everything was. Cut me some slack. They were in front of the barbeque area. It smelled so good. We relaxed a bit and chatted before we headed to our table that was outside, but under a canopy. The rest of my friends filed in. Two of them have been here a bunch of times. One of them suggested that I take a look at the brewery. It was cool seeing it. We were led to our table. It was spacious and comfortable. We got menus. There was live music. Our table ordered these items (my items have a * after them): Drinks: - Raspberry tea * - Pineapple mimosa - Honey habanero - Beer flight: - Mexican - Blonde ale - Hazy IPA - Scottish ale Mains: - Beef tip rigatoni * - Butter chicken - Double smashed burger with fries - Bison mac pizza - Jerk chicken pizza (2) We got water to start. It was cold and refreshing. My raspberry tea came out next. It's a hard cider where tart raspberries meet earl grey tea. It was fabulous. It was slightly sweet, which was perfect on a warm summery evening. The beef tip rigatoni was excellent. The beef tips were tender and seared nicely. The rigatoni was al dente and fun to eat. It had mixed mushrooms, which I adored. The broth was mushrooms. I could taste roasted garlic. It was divine. The fries are yummy here. Everyone loved their food. The chefs knew one of my friends. They were kind to come out and wish us a happy birthday. They were so generous to offer barbequed proteins with sides to celebrate our special month. I was stuffed. I didn't know if I could shovel more food in me. Luckily, it did take some time to prepare our goodies, so it helped with my digestion. We got an assortment of ribs, brisket, and tender meat on sticks. I didn't know what meat was on the stick, but it was delicious and so easy to enjoy. The ribs had the best barbeque sauce. The rib that I devoured was tender, tangy, and yummy. The only downside to this assortment was the brisket. It was dry and we didn't have any drinks with us. I actually had to rely on eating the ribs with the barbeque sauce with the brisket. We got cornbread, corn salad, and mac and cheese as sides. All three were solid. You could see the corn kernels and carrot in the cornbread. It was yummy and so fluffy. I loved it. The corn salad was excellent. It was like eating elote, but without the corn on the cob. I loved the mac and cheese. The elbow macaroni was perfect, as was the cheese sauce. I used the washroom between our dinner and barbeque. The women's washroom has three stalls. The woman in front of me didn't realize that the middle stall was available. She waited for her friend to come out of the stall on the right. I used the middle stall. Clean. Spacious. No issues. We waddled over to the apple orchard to take photos. A friend gifted me a Grogu plushie. We went to town taking photos of Grogu with food and apples. It was a memorable, wonderful time with friends, good eats and drinks, in a picturesque setting. I'd come back again for more yumminess. (322)

Big sports bar setup, tons of TVs, plenty of seating, and the staff were friendly from the moment we walked in. Service was attentive without being pushy and our food came out fast even though they were busy. The menu is huge, maybe a bit overwhelming honestly. We tried a mix of appetizers and mains. Portions are generous, prices are fair for what you get, and the flavours on the dishes that were not deep fried were genuinely good. The braised beef and the seafood pasta in particular stood out. My one real issue, and the reason this is not a five star, is the fryer oil. Anything that came out of the fryer left me feeling heavy and a bit off for the rest of the night, which I have noticed before at places that do not change their oil often enough. The fries and the fried apps tasted fine in the moment but sat poorly afterwards. Not the first time I have had that reaction here, so I do not think it was a one off. If they tightened that up it would make a real difference because the rest of the kitchen clearly knows what it is doing. Service, atmosphere, and portion sizes are all strong. Would come back, but next time I will stick to the grilled and braised dishes and skip the fryer.
