The ground actually tilts to adjust for your lie and the balls are automatically returned and teed up if necessary. You can rent the simulators for $50 an hour. Our group of 3 was able to play 4 holes in that time, we saw a group of two ahead of us play 7 holes. Granted, we aren't great golfers, but it would have been nice to play at least 9 holes. XGolf has 3 giant TVs so you can watch while you wait for your turn. They also serve beer and wine, but be warned, beers cost close to $7 a pop. There are only 4 simulators so book your time early. Cost and timeframes aside XGolf was an awesome time, friendly staff and everyone in the whole place was having a blast!

I didn't hit driver on a single hole, par 5s included. I played the round of my life and still carded a 96 because misses are pretty unforgiving. Come prepared to play some target golf because if you miss, you'll be sorry. I will keep practicing and can't wait to be back. Unfortunately the only downside is the foursome in front of us was obliterated drunk, and really held up things (this was not the course's fault). They were playing from blues and would take 4 shots in each hole just to get out of range. They also left empty cans on fairways and greens. Really shame. I guess this happens everywhere.

But I'm so glad that I finally wised up after broken bones from other sports, and failed home projects. I'm going to do this golf thing right and push to seek professional help. My instructor Dan was great, he really worked on finding a way to make my swing better rather then teaching me some new crazy swing. I was all worried that it was going to be too serious and awkward like when you get the stupid "class" before you sky dive or something. It wasn't it was great. I have a whole bunch of drills that I'm going to work on at the range now, rather just crushing em. Also this academy is worth going to, even once because of there ball fight radar tracking system. Unfortunately, we were turned away by the pro shop, who said the course needed to "air out." If that was the plan, why not just close the course entirely to begin with? It was 5:30PM on a Saturday afternoon and bright as day. Turning away paying customers without a clear reason makes it feel like they just wanted to wrap up early. Disappointing end to an otherwise great experience.

We live in CT, so its close to home and then had lunch at 99 across the street. Some other restaurants are Chilis Outback Steak House. Highly recommend. Also they have batting cages.
