What a course. It was gorgeous and so well kept. It was a bit of a fancy experience, which is nice compared the to the muni course experience. But wow... it is really challenging. I didn't hit driver on a single hole, par 5s included. I played the round of my life and still carded a 96 because misses are pretty unforgiving. Come prepared to play some target golf because if you miss, you'll be sorry. I will keep practicing and can't wait to be back. Unfortunately the only downside is the foursome in front of us was obliterated drunk, and really held up things (this was not the course's fault). They were playing from blues and would take 4 shots in each hole just to get out of range. They also left empty cans on fairways and greens. Really shame. I guess this happens everywhere. read more

Not at all surprised to see so many negative reviews of the Cyprian Keyes Golf Course Pro Shop staff, including the Head Pro himself. Given that there is no directional signage posted that shows players how to get to the range, I drove up the hill yesterday instead of down looking everywhere for the range,. I finally asked a surly cart boy where it was and he responded with derision that "it was right down the hill." When I got there the ball machine was overly difficult to navigate so I drove back to the cart boy to request assistance. He made it clear that he was put out but drove down to the machine with me. Once he got it working it was out of balls! at only 1PM on a Sunday. I asked how that could be and why wasn't it being serviced? his response "Oh well..there are only two of us. You're happy to complain to the Head Pro. Which I did in the pro shop only to be told A) you dove right by the range coming into the course. So he was blaming me for not being able to find it. B) he also shrugged at the machine being empty..and like the cart boy said Oh Well." If any of these staff worked for a Corporate Service Industry Company they would be terminated on the spot for their behavior. I reminded the Head Pro that in fact golf course are in the Service Industry and he might want curb his attitude and that of his unprofessional and rude staff. read more

The course is challenging but fair and was in great shape. You need to play it a few times to dial in your club choices. This course requires some strategy and placement decisions which I personally think makes the best courses. read more

Course was in great condition and definitely a challenging layout which is all good. BUT, 4.5 hours thru 14 holes is beyond ridiculous. Why are you sending people off 1 and 10 in October? I hosted my sister's bridal shower here, and it was phenomenal. It was very reasonably priced, the room was beautiful and perfectly set up as I had discussed with the coordinator, and the food was amazing! The manager popped by before and during the event to make sure everything went smoothly, and the lead server checked in with me constantly to make sure everyone was happy. They were kind enough to create a speciality drink for our event and it was better than I could have imagined. The entire day went so smoothly. So, I must disclose that this is a review of the clubhouse facilities and a function that we went to here for a birthday celebration that we threw for family and not the golf course itself. The staff was super friendly, the facilities were super clean and the food that we ordered that they laid out in a buffet style was delicious. (Brisket, chicken and veggies and salad) and they gave us a very private room that was overlooking the tee off of one of the holes. I think that I wll definitely be coming here in MA for my next function that I will be putting together. I had my wedding reception at Cyprian Keyes in September 2022; overall I'd rate the venue at 3/3.5 stars out of 5. I purchased the platinum package ($135 per person, which included alcohol). I paid approximately 20k for 100 guests (6 hours and 30 minutes of total event time). The positive aspect was that the staff was very nice and that they decorated the venue nicely. The food during cocktail hour was good; the main course (fillet mignon and salmon during dinner was okay but definitely not as good as they had it made during our tasting). We had many issues with communication with Deborah, the event manager. Before we signed the contact, we were told that we could extend the reception time as much as we needed as long as we paid $500 per each extra hour. After signing, she told us we could only extend for one hour. We were also told for over a year that the venue would have no problem getting us the beers we wanted; a week before the reception they said they cannot get any of the beers we requested. They also omitted to say that we would not be able to have shots at our wedding. During the reception, the bartenders were rude to me as the bride and my guests. I was very upset and had to get my husband to communicate with the general manager to fix the issues we've encountered with the event manager. It was too late to fix most of them. The reception is a nice memory, but overall, I would not have my wedding at this venue again because I don't think the service we've received was worth the 20k we paid. read more

This course deserves much better rating than what's given here. Yes, it is a difficult course to play, but the overall condition of the course is much better than other courses around. Best place for a "legal" COVID wedding. We've been here for many functions and we always thought it was great. We had a family wedding to attend and the personnel could not do enough for us. The food was fantastic, they fixed up the ballroom so it looked cozy but social distancing. This is the place to go with or without COVID for your functions. read more

(Definitely one to judge after you play it a few times because its pretty easy to make poor club selections.) Its a challenging course that it is in my rotation because it makes me a better golfer. The course is very well maintained. The greens are fantastic. I love fast and challenging greens. Course management is a weakness for me - and this course forces me to work on that weakness. Not a wide open grip it and rip it course, but I think that style of play creates bad habits, so mixing a target golf course into regular play can really help your overall game. read more

This review is for functions only I will be having my wedding here. The director of sales Deborah has been wonderful to work with so far. She answers all questions very quickly. Most importantly she seems to actually care about her clients events. The facility itself is beautiful and well maintained. The music room has become my favorite room. It has such a elegant feel. The lighting in the room is beautiful during certain times of day. As far as the food I have gone here for Easter brunch and the Friday night buffet both have been great. When I tell people my wedding will be a Cyprian everyone responds with positive feedback. Everyone comments that the food at past weddings has been delicious! This is very comforting for a bride to hear about her venue! I can't wait to have my wedding here till then I'll just enjoy some of their events. :) read more

We had a Birthday party for my mother, who turned 90, and her friends. It was a ladies luncheon in the music room. The setting was beautiful, the soup was hot, the view was terrific. The food was delicious and the service was superb. I would highly recommend this venue for a function. The individual service given by the servers as well as the function coordinator were exceptional. read more

Course has a good reputation by name. Played here for the first time and literally made me want to quit golf. Staff is more or less friendly. Course is in great shape. Greens fee was $40 for 18 with a cart, so it was a wicked deal. But, by around the 4th hole, the course layout started to get ridiculous. Some holes seemed so so so long and some were sloped uphill so steeply that it actually started to get discouraging really quickly. I'm about a 13 handicap so I technically stood a chance out there but honestly by the end of the 7th hole I decided I had enough of this and actually just went back to the clubhouse. Talk about discouraged. It seems there are no words for how frustrating and seemingly unfair the course is laid out. It was mind-blowing how they expect you to put your ball in the fairway on these uphill sloped holes. It just was not very fun. If you are an above average golfer, you might enjoy a challenge. But be prepared to place every single shot exactly where you need to. Out of bounds is right there and easy to lose ball after ball after ball. read more

Very unhappy customer...just threw a baby shower there and although the room was beautiful, it was the behind the scenes stuff that would make me not go back and recommend others look elsewhere. The banquet coordinator was kind in the beginning but seemed flighty in emails and would only answer half the questions asked and then send an email asking me questions that I already answered...overall disorganized. Also, as soon as the shower was paid for (10 days prior to the event), she wasn't so kind. She was short and also slow to reply to messages. The servers on the day of made us feel rushed and seemed to be put out when asked for something. If you do go there, don't do the open bar - they overcharged by hundreds of dollars. I played the Par 3 Course over the weekend. It was $18 for the 9 holes and one of my friend wanted the cart so it was another $7 or $9 for that. First off I am glad he wanted the cart because normally Par 3 courses are very compact but this one was spread out quite a bit and it was hilly. Plus how else were we going to carry our beers? Overall the course was in great condition and based on my skill level (1 step above awful) and the other 2 people being newer it provided us with a good challenge with a mixture of terrains, hazards, and elevations. The food in the club house was surprisingly very reasonably priced. They had a breakfast buffet with omelet station for $9.95 a person and a 20 oz. Smithwick's for $5.25. The golf is a little pricey but overall from what I saw of the Championship Course both were well maintained. I wouldn't mind playing this course again sometime or trying the 18 hole course. read more

Beautiful course....every hole gives you a different challenge. Key is on placement, not distance. But you will need to play a couple of times to truly understand where to hit it. I would say, if you can break 90, that is a great score....bring lots of balls, because if you are just slightly off some of the fairways, you are dead. Hit long irons or hybrids. My favorite saying is " You can't play from the woods, or the water..." When I played with three friends, everyone of us took turns posting a big number, and yes, I had my first "snowman" ( 8 ) in about 20 years. Advise...go play it, have fun, enjoy the layout...play some skins..but don't beat yourself up once you total up the scorecard. read more

If you're even a little bit in to the woods, there's no chance of finding your ball so make sure you're stocked before playing. Staff was courteous and professional in every location. I just hosted my daughter's bridal shower at Cyprian Keyes. The Music Room where we held it looked beautiful. The 2 men finishing the set up (we arrived early to decorate) were so incredibly nice and helpful. The servers (the two Lisa's!!) could not have been better! They were extremely kind, professional, caring and went so far above and beyond to make the day fantastic. My daughter said many times throughout the day that it was the most wonderful shower and surpassed any expectations she had of what it would be like! The food was truly delicious and so many guests commented on how good it was. Jean did a fabulous job checking in on us to make sure everything was running smoothly. It's clear that there is a top notch staff at Cyprian Keyes. Many, many thanks to all of them! The golf course is fantastic. A really challenging course with lots of elevation change and some fairly demanding holes, this place really tests your game. It has some gorgeous views from the higher holes, and is really well taken care of. The amenities away from the course are pretty good, but they don't have a drink cart on weekend afternoons. The food at the restaurant is good, but the service is slow, don't plan on eating there before a round wait until you're done. The price is fairly high, $77 on the weekend with a cart, but if you're looking for a new, challenging course not that far from Boston, it's worth checking out. read more

Don't waste your time or money! The Golf course and management at Cyprian has gone way down hill in the last couple years. I play golf around Massachusetts and New Hampshire All season long. Usually 2-3 rounds at Cyprian Keyes. I started golfing there the year they opened and have seen the changes. They seem to care more now about the function hall and the restaurant than the course or the golfers. This past weekend my group had the worst experience of the year (comparing to roughly twenty various golf courses in the area). I'm not whining. These are the facts. Be aware , ....covid did not seem to be a genuine concern for their customers even though they post rules and policies. This place had Many people this weekend very close to each and not wearing masks around the starting tee and putting green. Literally 50-60 people not wearing masks and within a few feet of each other. is Why? because they were jamming so many people in it was a thirty minute delay on start time. Oh and, they also had a small wedding party and ceremony going on right next to the putting green. Bad points: I called to change the group to three and they said it can only be rain check because they charge the credit card right away so you can cancel one person. The guy on the Phone named Chris was also not very customer friendly at all. Your paying for four no matter what, even if you call as they instruct on the website. They are not forthcoming with that info. * The starter then told us that they were starting people on #10 and #1 because they had so many people there. We got sent to #10 to start and there were three groups waiting on the tee. The course conditions were very Poor at almost every level. Its been overplayed and they are not keeping up with it. Most of the tee boxes were in extremely bad condition. You had hard pan almost everywhere once you got off the fairways. Many of the greens and fairways had dead patches scattered around. They had "0" course management presence. No rangers to move things along. IT was a 5 1/2 hour round. Long wait on every single shot! I actually played fairly well, but, none of us were happy that day and we will not play there again any time soon. Golf is meant to be enjoyable not stressing. Avoid this place. read more

Great course, but watch out for the bellowing grass farmers who, in my experience have management's permission to berate paying customers. They are especially active in the morning. If you want to avoid being treated like a thieving child, be sure that you follow all posted signs to the letter and then some, or better yet, play in the afternoon. Cyprian is not at its full potential, perhaps the greens crew should focus on grass and let staff deal with misbehaving children. read more

I wouldn't call it the worst course I've ever played, Ponkapoag or Norwood get that honor. Watch out for a broken 3-wood in the bush by the 4th tee. The course can be frustratingly tight, but it's a great challenge. The terrain makes this a thinking man's course, not just a bomb and gouge track. The course was well kept when I played in late June. I would recommend this as a course to try out if you're looking for a new challenge. read more

Fun and challenging. My newly minted golfer son loves the 9 hole course, and the food. After he and the hubs played a very ugly round, we wound up at the restaurant. I'm now here with a tee time at 12:20 and I thought it'd take less than 35 minutes for a simple ice cream. We ordered at 11:50 and still haven't received our food. This review is for the Cyprian dining (although I love the course as well). Cyprian's Bistro has become a go to for our family, in particular my 86 year old dad who when asked where he wants to eat Sunday dinner will say "Cyprians." Yes, it's that good. The variety is fantastic the prices are reasonable and the quality of the food and service are great. Very inventive wraps, salads and burgers. We are looking forward to the prime rib nights coming up in the fall. This is also a great location for taking business associates out to lunch. An oasis away from the normal work day. Great conditions, great staff, great food, too bad the layout sucks. Why would anyone think you need 18 tricked-up, narrow holes. Golf is supposed to be a pleasurable experience ( at least for a couple holes). After four holes of silliness with 90 degree doglegs, fairways that run out, hitting over hazards with layups, I thought it end. But no it just kept up, miss a green that you can't see by 10 feet and your penalized 2 strokes. If you're thinking of quiting golf and need a good reason pay $78 for this gem and you can hang em' up for good. read more

With everything going for this golf course how could they screw it up. 2 hours to play the first nine holes. 3 hours 15 minutes to play the second nine holes. We were started on # 10. When we came to the first tee-our 10th hole of the round the nightmare began. Until the golf staff which is very capable, figures out how to regulate the pace of play , this place is as destined to keep ruining a nice day for their customers We played at Blackstone and Red Tail after our last delayed round at CK. We had some initial hiccup with thunderstorms and rain but the weather turned out to be beautiful. Wind made the conditions little tricky. It was my first time there and not sure I'll go there on a regular basis. Most of the holes had a blind tee shot. Some had daunting looking layups of the tee. It's purely a placement course. The course was in very good shape. I ended up playing fairly well and shot 79 but my playing partners had a tough time. This course can be a nightmare for high handicappers and you can lose lot of golf balls. At $69 it was a decent deal. read more
