Wonderful place! The parking isn't great, but that isn't their fault. The entrance has an accessibility ramp, with the other stores on the strip don't have. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ray is THE BEST. I came here on a Friday evening for an ear lobe piercing. I had called earlier in the week to schedule the appointment with Rachel. Tattoo Paradise takes a deposit over the phone to hold your appointment, this is standard for any tattoo/piercing business. There is a small parking lot behind Tattoo Paradise, pay attention to the signs for the parking spots so you don't get towed. I was greeted by the front desk as soon as I arrived. I filled out the necessary paperwork while Rachel prepped the piercing room. Rachel showed me what earrings she had available for the piercing. Tattoo Paradise requires that you purchase their jewelry for any piercings, you cannot bring your own so keep in mind that you can paying a piercing fee as well as the charge of the jewelry you select. Rachel was very thorough with walking me through the entire process. She really took her time with helping me pick the placement of my piercing (third lobe piercing on each ear). It was almost close time, but she never rushed me. The piercing was quick and she walked me through the after care process once we were done. My husband had recently lost his mom and wanted to get a tattoo in memory of her. My husband called to see if any tattoo places were near by and found this one. He called and a friendly guy answered and told us to come on over. So we arrive there and there are like three people not doing anything. One guy was helping this Caucasian guy and his family choose a tattoo. We are standing there my husband is black and I'm Indian , we are at the front waiting to be acknowledged but no one even looked in our direction or asked if we needed anything and it wasn't busy. After 10 minutes of standing there we just left. Thank God we found a better tattoo place around the corner literally 4 minutes away that had much better customer service , very kind and had great prices. read more

I visited the DC location who shared that only the Rockville location takes appointments for piercings. I called the location and scheduled the appointment for a Sunday. I called on Thursday and Friday and verified my appointment. I got stuck in traffic on my way there and called to let them know and they said "ok". I drive an hour from DC and arrive for my appointment. The receptionist tells me that the piercer is also running a little behind, cool. I have a seat and wait. The receptionist asks if I could come back after 3pm for my 1pm appointment. I explained that I couldn't not then she tells me that they "couldn't find my appointment". After I drove AN HOUR! The receptionist was sweet but the other staff could use some training in being more welcoming and professional (both Rockville and DC locations). I would NOT recommend. read more

10/13/20 * I know Inkers Tattoo closed its door forever,  but the business that took its spot is also a tattoo shop.   I am tempted to check this place out possibly next week.  In the mean time, I thought I would share my thoughts on the experience I had at this place when it was Inkers at 15877 Redland Rd, Rockville, MD 20855.   When I worked for McDonald's on Muncaster Mill, I passed this tattoo shop a number of times for nearly 5 years. It wasn't until after I left working at McDonald's that I finally decided I wanted to get a tattoo.  I had been visiting the shop a few times before I came to my final decision on what to get. I had looked around and found a picture of a baby tiger with its paws on a log in the jungle. I liked the look of the tiger, but I wanted a fox instead of the tiger. I talked to one of the tattoo artists and was I formed a woman named Ashley (hope I got her name right) was the women who made the tiger drawing.   After some time, I got a chance to talk to Ashley about the tattoo she made. I talked to her about some alterations to the picture and she seemed to like what I had in mind.   My idea was to have a fox's paws on the log, but instead of the fox being in the jungle, the fox would by water.  A waterfall was on my mind too, but I did not come up with this idea until much later.  During the time between when I went into the shop for my first tattoo and the time I met with Ashley for the first time, I read up on what to expect when getting a tattoo.   Back when I was a kid, tattoo place to me were for biker gangs and outlaws. I was never allowed to go into tattoo shop, so the gruny shop idea played into my head.  This is not the case for most shops. Tattoo places tend to take their cleaning habits and disposable  of needles seriously. I saw this first hand as well as read about it. Ashley wiped down the area where her tools would be going with atiibactiral  wipes. She then placed clean and sterile paper on the table. Clean and never used needles were opened in front of me and the gun  used for the tattoo seemed new too.  The material used for the tattoo process was assembled in front of me.  The paint...excuse me, the ink used for the tattoos were put into disposable plastic cups.  The ink in the cups were thrown out at the end of the tattoo session. Nothing was reused.  *If I missed something about the start up procedures, please let me know.  It is been a long time since I aquired a tattoo.* The idea of getting a tattoo was exciting and a bit scary.  I wasn't sure how painful it could be and everyone has a different threshold of pain. So I decided to think of an experience I had where I was in the most amount of physical pain.  I held on to this memory. When the needle went across my skin for the lining of the tattoo, I did not feel it.   The lining process is where a copy of the photo you are getting is placed on your body. After the paper copy is dampened with water for a few minutes, the paper copy is slowly lifted off your skin and the whole design is left on your body. The tattoo artist then copies the lining on the area of your body you want. Believe me, there are areas of the body I can't imagine getting tattooed,  but people do. Just look up Tattboy Holden or Maria, the Butthole Tattoo Girl. The biggest wonder next to these places tattooed would be price of admission.   Honestly,  it depends on the tattoo artist and location on the body.  Some people might disagree with me on that. I will also add Time Length and Ink Usages to this factor just to be safe. Nevertheless,  Ashley did a wonderful job. I noticed that my tattoos  for  number 1 and 3 might need some updating. I might just do that one day. We will have to see. read more

I've been getting tattoos from this shop location for many years now and I just cannot express how grateful I was to find an amazing shop. In comprising to the other shops in the area, they are fair in pricing. For example, I've added tattoos to my leg and right arm from shops in the DMV area and they charged nearly as much, if not more than tattoo more (since some artists charge by the hour). Trevor, is my go to artist and he's been gradually adding to my left sleeve over the past few years. He takes the time to listen to your ideas and then intertwines his style to it. read more

I went into the shop late March for cartilage piercings as a walk in. It's right on the Red line and it's the last stop (Shady Grove) right next to the station. I was quickly greeted at the front desk, made my payment and chose my jewelry. Rachel was so nice and accommodating. I changed my minds two times about where I wanted to be pierced but finally decided on a daith and an upper ear piercing. She talked me through the whole process, talked to me about how to care for the piercings and also told me to come in for regular check ups. I definitely will come back for more! read more

I really wanted to get a tattoo done for my 23rd birthday and did my research around town and I can't be happier with my choice to come to John Lupo at Tattoo Paradise! Overall for the shop, all of the staff are really friendly and nice people. I have in the past gone to tattoo shops where you walk in and there is an air of judgement but when you come here, it's a really open and nice feeling environment. Which is awesome. John himself was amazing! The work I got done is beautiful and detailed and well done, I'm so in love with my arm, it looks like a work of art. He listened to me and the end product is really just out of this world. He's a super cool and really nice dude. He replied to my emails fast and was really professional. 10/10, if you're considering him or this shop in general I'd definitely recommend it! I had to write in and tell everyone what a wonderful experience I had with Rachel today . I was able to book the appointment over the phone and place a deposit for the nasal ring the day before . Easy And the gentleman ( sorry I didn't get your name) on the phone answered all my questions including directions to the shop. So the day came and I arrived and came 15 minutes early. I filled out the forms, had my Age verified via driver's license and met Rachel . Rachel cleaned everything and informed me about the entire process . She helped me pick out a nose ring and let me hold Tristan the Bear while I was getting pierced . It was a quick pain and she was so gentle inserting the jewelry. I couldn't hear the guy on the phone very well (could have been an issue on my end) however, he was being pretty rude when I would ask him to repeat himself just once. Once I told him I was nineteen he seemed to be even more passive aggressive. I asked if I could do the deposit via zelle cause i'm in the process of getting a new debit card and don't have a physical card at this moment and he replied very shortly "we take your card number over the phone...." and then hung up on me very quickly once I said I would have to call back. I first decided on Eric as my artist after doing extensive research looking at portfolios online and in person at different shops around DC and Baltimore. When I came into the Rockville location for a consultation I was able to meet with Eric right away and he was super cool. He took the time to educate me about the process since this was my first tattoo. I set up and appointment on the spot. When I came in for my appointment I showed him a few photos of what I wanted and he went right to work drawing the tattoo. He drew something that was like the photos, but totally custom, unique and actually way better. The process went smoothly and shop was clean and relaxing. I always get compliments from random people who just walk up to me and tell me that they love my ink. Even beautiful women! I should have done this a while ago. Since then, I have been back multiple times completing one sleeve and now starting on the other. Before starting with Eric I did a lot of shopping around at different shops and prices seem to be all over the place. Of course a tattoo is not something you want get cheap on... I wouldn't recommend coming here. They over charge and if it doesn't benefit them then they don't care. I had their piercer change my septum piercing to a smaller size. I went to wipe my nose and the ball to the end of my piercing had fallen out without me noticing. So I decided to come back to get it replaced (had been just a week since I got it replaced) for just the 1 ball that came loose! I was charged 5$ which was okay until I asked if he could put it back on for me since I was incapable of doing so. Instead of having basic decency to just twist it back on for me he wanted to charge me an additional 10$ for just that simple task. I had asked why I was being charged and it was due to HIS regular piercer was out of town as if that was my problem. All I asked was a simple kind task and instead I got a negative comment back. If you don't mind being overly charged then by all means come to this spot and see how inconsiderate they can be. read more
