Costco's rim supplier didn't have a solution, but I called Taunton Tire and they were able to tell me exactly what I needed. Don't waste your time - the owner, Frank, disposed of my all-season tires without any communication with me. I sent an email requesting a quote on winter tires for my SUV. I advised that I would like to purchase the tires. An employee called me and I was told to put a deposit down and once the tires arrived, I could come in to pay the remaining amount owed, have them put on my vehicle, and STORE my all-seasons. I spent $1120.40. This is the first time I've been through this process. I went to Taunton tire November 2022 and had my tires switched. I paid the amount owed as instructed at the counter and was handed an invoice and receipt. I was provided no further information other than my service was almost complete and my SUV would be parked in the lot once finished. No mention of my all-seasons being put into my vehicle, no mention of having to pay anything extra. I also had my boyfriend with me with his truck... no one offered to put them in the bed of it either. My tires weren't returned to me. I was under the impression that they were stored and I had paid everything. I called back April 7th to schedule another switch. I was informed that they had no record of storage, and that they would have to investigate the matter. After several follow up calls I reached the owner, Frank. He told me he DISPOSED of my tires as they were "old." My tires had 55, 000 kms on them yes, but it was not his call to get rid of MY tires. His solution was to offer me a new set at a discounted rate. Like fuck am I putting more of my money in your pocket. Why was I not contacted the day of service or thereafter to inquire why my tires were left there? And if I left them there for storage that I would need to pay an additional $100? It makes no sense for me to follow up 5 months later to schedule a switch if I knew they weren't being kept there? And if you thought they should be disposed of, why didn't you call me then either? The onus is on the business to provide the customer all the information they require and give them the cost of each service. Really poor customer service and a waste of my time. Frank didn't provide me the opportunity to speak, let alone discuss. He interrupted me, talked over me, and was argumentative. Great way to run a business, Frank. I would be embarrassed to work for you. Since dealing with your company I've had several friends and family and other shop owners share their negative experiences when dealing with you. Seems like you're building quite the reputation for yourself. ABSOLUTELY NO ACCOUNTABILITY. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. read more

My service was great this morning, The lady at the counter was Ciera and was very helpful,. the technicians that did the work had to take two sets of tires off both sets of my rims i had then put the tires i had onto my alloy rims. I had no troubles at all. Very happy with the work they did, Very happy with the price i paid. Cash is Best!!! They even disposed my old tires and old rims. The lady behind the counter needs an attitude check, quoted me 35 a tire on the phone and charged me 55 a tire on the bill. For someone who has worked in the tire industry I'm extremely disappointed. And they Forgot to put belongings back in my truck bed. I asked for black lug nuts, I got chrome. I will not recommend and will not be back. read more

Warning - These guys are scam artists. We've had a lot of construction in the area over the past year and I've had to repair my tire 3 times because of nails. Most recently had to make an early morning airport run, but realized I had another nail in my tire. Unfortunately, my regular shop was closed so I had no choice but to visit somewhere else close. Taunton Tire was close and had decent reviews so I took the chance. After waiting for about a half hour, I was told that the nail puncture was not repairable and I would have to replace the tire. "Fortunately" they "had my exact tire in stock" and would only charge me $40 on what should have cost me $9 for the tire plug. So I took their word for it and considering I had to make it to the airport, I didn't have many options. Something told me to keep the tire just in case I was covered for it, which I did. The next day I took the tire to my regular shop to see if it still had coverage. I explained to them that Taunton Tire said I had to replace it. After examining the tire, they shook their head and said that not only was the tire easily repairable, but they would plug it for free on the spot. Beware. This is a common practice with many shops. I would never go to Taunton Tire again. read more

Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Within first few months of purchasing new tires we had to get a rebalance done, and we're kind of shocked that we had to pay. I ordered winter tires from Taunton Tires in Oshawa on October 21, 2016. My budget was $900.00 Tax, install, balance etc. all in. I spoke with Sara who was very helpful and based on the $926.60 quote, I made the decision to order from Taunton Tires after shopping around to at least 5 other Tires Shops in the Durham Area. I had the tires installed on October 31st, a long 1.5 hour wait but not too surprised given the fact that they were so busy. Paid them and off I went. After my drive home I noticed a service light that came on with a tire light. I called Evan (the manager) at Taunton Tires and he explained that the reason for the light being on is as a result of no having sensors on my tires. I am not very savvy in the tire area and did not know what this was. He explained for an additional $300.00 + plus, the light would go off and that after pulling my paperwork he was very sorry that this was not explained at the time of the purchase. I was furious, this information, if had it had been mentioned when I first spoke with Sara would have swayed my decision from ordering from Taunton tires since this would have well exceeded my budget. At this point Evan (manager) was very apologetic and I was irate. I was raising my voice and very angry that now my almost new car would no longer indicate if there was a tire that may be flat due to lack of information that should have been mentioned at the time of the sale. Evan continued to be patient and understanding. He continued to apologize that I was not informed of the cost of the sensors and their purpose. He told me that he would have the owner Frank call me back and we could resolve this. Frank called me back and immediately told me that I had spoken with staff of Taunton Tires on three separate occasions and that they had informed me of this sensor cost. This was TOTALLY untrue! He then said he would not do anything for me. I was shocked that such an arrogant and rude owner of such a reputable tire shop could have such a considerate and caring manager such as Evan who clearly makes customer care a priority. What a shame that the owner could not do the same. I will never return to Taunton Tires and would caution those who do given the attitude of the owner and his dishonest nature! My husband and I went in to taunton tire for a set of rims and tires for our Kia for the summer. We didn't have anything of interest in mind but Kandice helped us choose an appropriate size rim and tire package for our car. She was very helpful and patient. Taunton Tire is horrible! I suggest going somewhere else. I've had a bad experience every time I went there. The last time was this morning and I will not be returning. Every time I talk to someone I get different information, whether it's price or availability. And they don't honor the prices they quote over the phone. They tried to charge me $30 more per tire this morning. I've also had problems with tires that weren't balanced properly and a set of steel rims where one of the four was for the wrong vehicle. read more

I f you are looking for a tire shop that cares about their customer's satisfaction , stay away from this place ,once they get your money they could care less about you. I bought four top of the line tires from this place and when I found the car to be riding weird I went back to them and told them, they rotated the tires but the problem was still there. I went to another tire shop only to be told all four tires were out of round. I called Frank the owner at Taunton Tire, he was not in the least bit interested in resolving my problem even though the tires had a manufacturer's warranty. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. their attitude stinks. The other tire shop took care of me and got my tires replace.. They go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied.
