Service was friendly and welcoming. Located near the pantheon. Has a.c. and free WiFi. Food was not bad. The tiramisu was really good. The inside of the restaurant is very cozy.

Only stopped here for a quick aperitif. Decent prices for being so close to the Pantheon. Food was good and service was quick. There was a line out the door, about 6 people deep, but it moved through quickly.

Just hungry and wandering down the street. Their "grabber" joined us while we were reading the menu and sold us on their homemade pasta and other items. We were seated promptly and the waitress was there quickly. No need to wait for a menu since the placemat is the menu. We chose a Salad Caprese as a starter (shared) and pasta and chicken for the mains. The salad was five beautiful slices of ripe red tomato and a large ball of wonderful fresh mozzarella with balsamic and olive oil served on the side. Pasta a served typical Roman style, slightly less cooked than I like, but with a lovely sauce. I had ordered the chicken cacciatore and was suprised that the plate was five wings. Nicely cooked with cherry tomatos and black olives. We skipped the dessert, it did look good on the next table but we were headed down the street for gelato. Would definitely return when in Rome.

Food is not authentic. Ate margaritas pizza which is worst than the worst street pizza in NYC. No cheese, standard dough and canned tomatoes. Ravioli taste like frozen. Standard tourist trap.

I liked everything about Taverna del Seminario aside from them forgetting to bring out a dish. However, it was one of those situations where we ordered too much anyway, so it was good they didn't bring out a dish and we just had to adjust the bill at the end. They serve classic Roman food here and if you're sitting outside, you can get a decent view of the Pantheon from your table. Service was great. I'd recommend eating here if you're hanging around the Pantheon and are in need of a good meal.

Warm and inviting on a cool February day around the corner from the Pantheon we found a fair amount of Italians in spite of a heavily tourist neighborhood. Octopus salad! Margarita pizza! Egg with truffle pesto and cheese, check plus!

Def come here if you're in need of a budget friendly, authentic and tasty meal! Not the absolute best Italian food but so worth it for the price. I would def come back and recommend to anyone near the panthenon! The salad with chicken was AMAZING

Top 5 restaurants, EVERYTHING, was soooooo good and amazing. This spot is in a small alley, small place but the food was incredible. We ordered a lot of food and ate it all. There was so complaints. They were really accompanying to my mother in a wheelchair even though the place was small. It's the little things that we appreciated.

Popped into this place as it was one of the higher rated sit downs in the area and was not disappointed! I got the carbonara, the bruschetta mix, and spinach and Parmesan side. This meal hit the spot. Every part of the meal was really good. The Carbonara was my favorite! The noodles were Al dente and the sauce was spot on! Treat yourself with this delectable meal.

4.8 stars This is very close to Pantheon. Yet everyone almost miss it since it is on a side street with no outside seating. Tons of cars outside you will not be able to find it. Table cloth on each table. AC and restrooms. Outside ready made pizza for 2.5€ with no service. I can't agree with others why ready made pizza will taste better than freshly made. We come here for margarita pizza. Why? Because if that is good, you know anything else would be good. Amazing large margarita pizza! 6€ -5.0 stars- To me, nothing other than crunchy pizza tough made fresh from oven, homemade tomato sauce and little bit of cheese. I try to avoid carb but I ate 3 pieces. Best pizza in Rome. We ate pizza/food in Rome for 3 days and other restaurants with raves reviews are just OK only. Rack of lamb is crispy outside and just right inside. Only 9€ -5.0 stars- for 3 big pieces. Must order. Tasted just pepper and salt. When you cook correctly with fresh meat, there is nothing else you need to add. Saltimbocca - ham and sage with veal. Tasted ok. 7€ -4.0 stars- Red Wine 3€. Cover charge 1.5€ per person.

We came across this restaurant on our first night in Rome, but decided to save it for our last night. Best for last, right? It surely was a great last meal to end our trip in Rome. We made reservations for 7:30pm, but arrived by 7pm and was seated right away. It was actually quite empty when we came, so that was nice. They have a 4-course meal for only €15.00 that we all decided on while also sharing a bottle of white wine (€10.00) and carafe of water (€2.00). Since there were 3 choices for most of the courses, we were able to try everything on the menu between the 3 of us. To start off, we all had a bruschetta, which was a simple toast topped with tomatoes and arugula. For our second course of pasta, we had the Carbonara (pasta with eggs, bacon and cheese), Amatriciana (pasta with tomato and bacon), and Cacio e Pepe (pasta with pecorino cheese and black pepper). The first two dishes used a thick rigatoni pasta, which I didn't prefer. The taste was also only okay --nothing too special. What won me over was the cacio e pepe --oh my goodness! It was so cheesy, creamy, and delicious for such a simple dish. I seriously wished I had more cacio e pepe in Rome after this mouth-watering experience. Halfway through our courses, we were already starting to get full. Next up were the meat dishes: Saltimbocca Alla Romana Con Insalata (veal with ham and sage and mixed salads), Cotoletta Con Patate Fritte (cutlet with french fries), and Pollo Alla Cacciatora (chicken with olives and tomatoes). These dishes did lower my excited for this place as all of them were just a-okay. We ate them just to finish our plates, so that we could get to the dessert part. Of the three, the chicken dish was the best though with a very tender and marinated chicken. To end, we had some classics with Tiramisu and Panna Cotta. The desserts made for a good ending that left us way too full. Overall, this spot is worth your value for its 4-course menu. I think if you ordered a la carte, there's many (probably better) options that's just as great too. Either way, you MUST get the cacio e pepe! You're welcome.

Best prices in town from what we experienced but as the saying goes "you get what you pay for" Like everywhere else in Europe it is cramped seating. I am not putting this place down, but bottom line I would not go back.

Why does this make my spaghetti more delicious ?

Wonderful meal here Pasta special was the bolognese and sold out before we left. All dishes were served hot, fresh and delicious

We ordered sea bass fillet rolled in zucchini and honey mushrooms. Fish was tender, soft, and delicious with great seasoning. We also ordered Ravioli with white truffles and it was delicious as well. Ravioli tasted like it was freshly made and it tasted great with truffles. Lastly, we got tiramisu for dessert. This tiramisu was prepared by an artist. Just by looking at the dish, it was very pretty to look at. It was presented on a beautiful plate with thin chocolate cookie on top with sugar decoration and underneath was a creamy white tiramisu. I loved this dish because it was unique dessert with great sweet flavor and great presentation. The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly with great attitude and they are attentive. I think they liked the look on my face every time they brought out the dishes because their presentation was great. Whoever was the Chef that night, I would give him or her an award. We opted for the Roman-style cuisine tasting menu with wine pairings. The service was warm and welcoming, and the ambiance was quiet and romantic. I appreciated the decor, especially the various wine bottles displayed throughout, and I also liked the dishes the food was served on. That said, this restaurant leaned a little too "foodie" for my taste. I also discovered that I really dislike truffles! My husband, on the other hand, enjoyed everything--including my leftovers. The wines were fantastic across the board. I also want to mention the pricing was shockingly affordable for what we got at dinner, which again, included the wine pairing. If you consider yourself a foodie and enjoy creative, thoughtfully prepared dishes, Ristorante Ad Hoc is worth a visit.

Pane e Salame, however, was delicious!!!! On our first day in Rome, my husband and I decided to search for a lunch spot nearby (we were staying near the Trevi fountain), and I found this place had pretty good reviews. We got there about an hour after it opened and requested a seat outdoors. They have a tiny patio across from their entrance, but they fit quite a bit of people in it! We initially wanted to order two sandwiches to try more items, but I'm glad we just shared one - they were big and filling! We also had the small charcuterie board to share which was plenty of food for us both. We shared a bottle of rose, and all in all, we paid under $50 (usd) - what a steal! This was the perfect first meal in Rome. The food was incredibly fresh, the service was great, and the outdoor seating allowed us to experience the streets of Rome. 10/10 - would absolutely go back.

Il posto non era una trappola per turisti, ma devo dire che i sedili nel booth (il tavolo con divanetti) erano scomodi per me, e il locale era un po' piccolo. Scusate se non ho foto. The edamame we had was soft and boiled/spiced to perfection. Originally we were just going to get a roll and a bowl but after trying the food we immediately got another roll. The staff was a whole new level of mind blowing. To start the waiter made us feel exactly where we belonged (even though we were a little underdressed for a classier restaurant). You could've just sat there and watched the bar tender all night, she looked like she was a professional I wouldn't want anyone else making me drinks. The atmosphere of the whole bar embodied a classic American jazz bar, even the other people and tables we were by were friendly and really added to the whole experience. Was very well worth the price and couldn't recommend any other restaurant.

A jazz club for American tourists…read more Okay, there was one Australian lady and a few Chinese. Everyone else was American. Prices are sky-high because this is a soak the tourist situation. Alexanderplatz which is the premiere jazz club in Rome charges $18 euros for a month membership - no cover after that - and $12 per drink. So once you have paid your monthly cover charge, you can hear all the jazz you want for free - or if need be for $12 euros a drink At Alexanderplatz, the performances are legendary with some of the most innovative and technically amazing musicians in Rome. We dropped over $150 euros at Gregory's. We got a perfectly reasonable yeoman guitarist. But nothing like the artistic lions that routinely perform over at Alexanderplatz. Now to be fair, we had dinner at Gregory's and we never eat at Alexanderplatz. The standard "sushi dinner" was perfectly reasonable yeoman sushi. There was so little of it that we both had to order a la carte dishes afterwards. The extra extras seriously expanded the final tab. * * * One argument in Gregory's favor: their bar is extraordinary. The bar at Alexanderplatz is mediocre. Gregory's charges top dollar for its bar offerings, but what they mix and what is in their bottles is worth every single euro they ask for. I would be perfectly happy to just go to the bar, and order a few premium beverages. I would hear my wallet cry. But I would know that I was drinking supremely well in return for my investment. Fortunately, the bar is downstairs from the club. I would not have to put up with the shenanigans in the club. * * * The problem with the club is the crowd. At most, one third of the customers are actually there to listen to jazz. The room is filled with tourists taking selfies. There are also hot-daters playing snuggle-buns. Many of them will leave mid-set so they can go back to the hotel. Gregory's is less about the music and more about selling happy memories of Rome. * * * Alexanderplatz gets a mostly Italian crowd. You are looking as musicians, music critics, academics, and all purpose artsy types - as well as normal Italian human beings who just want to hear fine music. The music is taken very very seriously. Yeah, there are usually two or three tables with good time Charlies who are doing the phone recording, party hearty thing. But this is 8% of the audience at Alexanderplatz as opposed to 70% of the audience at Gregory's. To be fair to the crowd at Gregory's, the music at Alexanderplatz is simply better. The jazz at Alexanderplatz is capable of transfixing even philistines with tin ears. Gregory's jazz doesn't put that much on the table. But the crowd at Alexanderplatz sets me up for listening to mystic, complex music with the highest level of attention and aesthetic receptiveness. The crowd at Gregory's just gets me irritated. * * * If you are in Rome with a hot date, go to Gregory's. Be prepared to shell out the bucks. * * * If you are in Rome with someone who can truly appreciate once-in-a-lifetime musical experiences, take them to Alexanderplatz. After you talk about the music for half an hour after the concert, You can still go back to the hotel. Just figure that the hotel will be the second best part of the night.
