It took me over 5 years to write this because I lost my husband because of this doctor. We went to him for a second opinion, and he was very quick to do an ERCP. That procedure killed my husband. Everything went wrong. The doctor had nothing to say or do while I was panicking. I asked him, if this was your dad, what would you do? He said everything would be fine, but it wasn't. After everything went wrong, this doctor didn't even bother to do anything. Within minutes, my husband was gone. A mistake like that will never bring him back. He was too busy seeing 25 to 30 patients a day and doing procedures. He had no time for serious patients. I tried to talk to him when I knew my husband was not going to make it, but there was no care. I filed a complaint with the medical board and received documentation outlining concerns about his care, although I was told there was not enough for stronger action. After that, he moved his practice from Lodi to another location. There is so much more to say, but I will leave it at this. I hope no one else goes through this. Honestly I had completely given up on finding any form of competent medical care in Northern CA and only went to my GI consult to document I had tried all avenues for a wrongful death suit. I have seen more than two dozen physicians in 5 medical system in NorCal in the last 5 years and every one of them has been HORRIBLE. I was fully prepared for a repeat performance. I was stunned to find our that Dr. Gazi actually 1) prepared for my appointment by reading more that the first page if a chart, 2) didn't immediately dismiss my concerns because I have autoimmune issues (most drs treat these like they are not real, 3) wasn't a raging bigot unlike most of his colleagues, and 4) had the ability to admit while he had treated similar issues to decades ago he understood there have been medical advances and referred me to a more appropriate doctor. It is so uncommon to have a doctor, especially a male doctor, listen to me AND understand their own limitation I am pretty sure this guy us the only one within a 500 mile radius. My consult was for a rare autoimmune liver disorder. He acknowledged that my current medical work up did not indicate a definite dx but he also recognized there were enough signs and symptoms to continue to look for answers. Every other doc I have seen immediately has dismissed my concern with "This isn't a definitive presentation. Why don't you try losing a little weight and take an asprin." The appointment happened on time (a doctor that doesn't keep patients waiting for an eternity is a unique find on its own). His staff were polite and got thier jobs done. He had a clear plan for moving forward to find out what is wrong. He listened to my questions and provided clear answers. It was a friggen' miricle for a Mmale doc to pull this off with a female pt as most seem incapable if shutting up long enough to let me ask any question. It was refreshing to actually have a doctor listen and help with healthcare. He is literally a hidden resource. His office REALLY difficult to locate on the property. Signage is poor and it took walking through the entire complex and asking directions 2x to find his office. Once there though it was worth the hike. read more

This doctor is not good. I will be going to another doctor out of the area. He is rude, incompetent and could end up injuring someone. I am reporting him to the medical board for a number of reasons. Beware. read more

Disaster. Unethical. He was disciplined in 2016-2017 for malpractice when patient died after a procedure, and according to court records Gazi wouldn't even call the patient's panic stricken wife when patient entered ICU. read more

Dr. Gazi himself is professional and fine. His medical assistant Vanessa is unresponsive and doesn't often answer the phone so I have left multiple messages asking for her to fax a prescription over to a mail order pharmacy and have gotten no response. This matter has been going on for over 2 weeks now without a response. Completely unacceptable. read more

The doctor himself is acceptable... Nothing special ...good or bad. However, we have found his staff to be completely incompetent. We sent a specific email indicating what type of feeding tube he wanted installed on the next appointment and gave the date and the specifics. When we arrived for the appointment at his office they said sorry, we cannot do this in the office! You need to have an outpatient procedure at the hospital. And the next appt was three weeks away. Meanwhile his feeding tube has been leaking. What a waste of money and time for them to do it as an outpatient. It is a five minute swap of a feeding tube! So, the date came for the appointment at the outpatient clinic and they called the night before and said "Ooops, we don't have the right feeding tube for you." If Napa had more choices in Specialists... We would certainly move on to someone else. We have been attempting to get a feeding tube change since October and it is now the middle of January! read more

I did not get a good feeling about Dr. Gazi and his office staff. I was there for a pre-appt. for a colonoscopy. It was my first time in his office so I needed to fill out new patient paperwork. Everyone one there was so rushed! Mind you there were only 2 patients in the waiting room. I asked the assistant that was rushing me to the exam room about a question on the paperwork and she told me "you don't really need to worry about those sections, just worry about this section". Well...those sections of the paper work were about heart and lungs. I said "really? It doesn't matter if I have a heart murmur & have lung issues?" She was like...."oh...yes...fill those sections out too". I kind of figure these are important questions if you will be sedating me for a procedure. Dr. Gazi came in & introduced himself and immediately told me twice he was going to save my life! Very strange opening statement. Like he is a superhero is how it felt. It was very odd and...rushed. He seemed very arrogant. The appt. was so short and rushed that I was barely done finishing my new patient paper work by the end of the appt. I have canceled my procedure with him due to the bad feeling I had about the whole situation. read more

This doctor is a flipping little twat! My dad needed a procedure and he refused to take him as a patient. There is very few doctors that can perform this procedure apparently so we've been in the hospital in Healdsburg for nearly 18 hours trying to find a doctor that can do it. We are headed to San Jose soon, they have a doctor there that wants to save lives rather than be a dick! If I could post this with a negative stars I would! read more

First visit to their office but what a bad impression and we didn't even get to see him. So, my mother was scheduled a while back for a Wednesday appointment. I made major arrangements to make sure I was able to take her and be there for support. I just started a new job and I have two small children so there was some planning involved esp. With the lovely lil commute to Napa. They called my mother on Monday to confirm Wednesday (today's)appt. And they even asked her to bring her Med list etc. Wells, we arrived there before our appointment time and we were told by front desk that Dr.Gazi is not doing consults today. She then went on to say they called back on July 17 to cancel (mind they called a day ago to confirm). I politely let her know that no call was rec'd and reminded them they confirmed the appt a day ago. I pride myself on being flexible but them sticking to their non-sense story was just a little frustrating especially bc they next appt is one month out and I will have to re-create today's arrangements. We were encouraged by front desk staff to call a day before or the morning of the appointment to confirm. I work in the health care field and I know sometimes things happens that are out our control but I would of appreciate it if the office took some responsibility instead of blaming the patient. My mother didn't say anything bc she just never does and is afraid they are not going to treat her nicely if she complaints. But this is unacceptable and I feel bad for patients, seniors like my mom that don't say anything. Also, side note my mom was surprised of how "nice" the person at the front desk was today which the level of "nice" was pretty low in my opinion...this only makes me wonder about what kind of treatment does my mom gets on the regular? read more

Dr Gazi is very impersonal and rarely makes eye contact with me. I have two minute appointments with him because he's ready to leave to room as soon as he gets there. He doesn't care about my symptoms. All he cares about is making money on the follow up appointments. I feel worse after I leave his office because he really doesn't care about his patients. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. read more

I saw Dr Gazi for my ongoing IBD issues with medication. I find I have many side effects and flares on a regular basis. Dr Gazi has helped me use different strategies and a change in medication to bring my disease under control. Have been very happy with his care. read more

I was referred to Dr Gazi's practice for testing and treatment. My initial appointment was November 7, 2028 when I waited more than two hours before seeing the doctor for five minutes. He scheduled a test for January 22, 2019. I was told that I would receive a call from his office on the day prior for details and instructions. NEVER HAPPENED. read more

I work in hospitality and honestly i hate yelping, but if anyone i work with treated a guest like this group treats their patients, someone would loose their job. For context, I had my appointments cancelled by Dr Gazi's office 2 times. Once I was 6 minutes late for my appointment, so ill take the blame (zero grace period even though i called in to tell them i was running a few minutes late). The receptionist also insisted that she snail mailed paperwork to me however i check my mail every day and found nothing. I asked if she could email me forms or if i could go online and download them and she told me they dont have the technology to do that (what year is this?) And my other cancellation was due to someone on staff not submitting paperwork for my endoscope so my insurance never got a claim. She even lied to me and simply said that my insurance denied my claim, and when i called them they never had a request. Then once i called back she began to back pedal, but not once said sorry. I have been struggling with my stomach issue for the last 8 months. I am in constant pain. I continue to miss work. My life is upside down and the staff didn't care. They seemed annoyed with me. However, Dr Gazi himself was fantastic. He did take me seriously. He made sure I was heard and taken care of. I can't say enough good things about him. However, the administrative staff clearly isnt interested in their job. The only problem is, this is peoples health at risk. Its one of the few jobs where you have to be 100% all of the time. read more
