I got l letter from the IRS stating I owed thousands of dollars and had to pay within 30 days. I called and left a message and Midhat returned my call and made an appointment within a week off of tax season. When I arrived it was easy to find parking. Midhat was very nice and polite. Also, when I needed copies of my tax returns and W2's he mailed them to me within the hour! I recommend him to everyone i know. Since there isn't signage out front, he let me know beforehand, and also gave detailed instructions on how to find the place, but Google maps was spot on and made finding the front door a piece of cake. When I had a child he knew exactly how to get the maximum return for federal and state deductions (including child care), and when I bought a house he helped me with every step along the way, i knew exactly what my mortgage interested deduction would be before I even purchased. Not much positive to say other than Terry is polite. There was no outside signage, so the office was difficult to find the first time. My tax prep meeting was marred with 6 interruptions, client visits and phone calls--some lengthly! They all interrupted the flow of the meeting! It was difficult to get return calls from Terry, e.g. I called a few times a week after my meeting with him, because he hadn't indicated that he even started on the tax return. His assistant said that we had been playing phone tag, but, in fact, he never called once. There were also mistakes on the return, some I didn't want to go through the hassle of getting corrected by him. One huge one,though, was my refund was to be applied to the next year's (2014) first quarter estimated tax payment, and was not. The IRS sent the 2013 refund to me, making my already-paid first quarter 2014 payment that much too low. I felt that the cost of the tax preparation was high, about 30% higher than my previous preparer. I leave feeling that I should not have been taken on as a new customer if Terry was too busy to give uninterrupted, prompt, accurate service. read more
