We walked until we found cell service and called Pop's taxi. Our driver came to our rescue right away, found us on the side of the road and proceeded to cart us back (almost 2 hours) to Atlanta. Their fees are competitive and incredibly fair, the vehicle was clean and safe, our driver was kind, funny, a great conversationalist and even gave us a bit of a tour and some recommendations along the route. I found them on Yelp a long with one other company ( who did bother to return my call). I filled out their website questionnaire to receive quote and within one hour I was provided a confirmation that they could transport me from where I was to the airport and cost/price of the service. They asked me to call and provide my CC to reserve the appointment which would then be charged once the I was taken to the airport (no deposit). I took me a few hours to respond because I was in meetings but they didn't bug me and was otherwise courteous. They didn't give me any ultimatums. In the day of my appointment, my driver Jay arrived 10mins early, in a beautiful super clean and polished Cadillac Escalade SUV. One could tell the pride that was placed on the polish of the vehicle. Jay was personable and fun conversationalist perfect for someone outgoing like me. I should note, I was expecting a regular car but everything worked out so this driver and car could take me with no additional cost. There is an added cost if one specifically requests an SUV. Ultimately, got a very luxurious ride to the airport, and Jay made all the adjustments (because there is a ton of construction going) so that I got to my terminal early. Overall great experience with Atlanta Express! Highly recommend them! When next I'm in Atlanta I'm calling them first !

Unfortunately, the experience ended on a disappointing note due to communication and billing issues. When we arrived, we discovered there was an additional 2.7% credit card fee that had not been disclosed ahead of time. More concerning, about 30 minutes into the flight the pilot descended to land because he believed we had booked only a 30-minute ride. We were surprised because we had clearly scheduled a 1-hour sunset flight two months earlier, and our name was even listed on the schedule board for a one-hour tour. After we clarified the misunderstanding, we went back up and completed the full flight. However, when we landed, we were told the total would now be $775 because we had gone slightly over the hour -- even though the extra time resulted from the earlier misunderstanding, not from any request on our part. After discussion, the total was slightly reduced, but we still ended up paying more than the original quoted amount. I'm sharing this mainly so future customers can be prepared to ask questions about timing, billing policies, and additional fees before flying. The actual flight was scenic and memorable, but the end result left us disappointed.

We chose Atlanta. Booking was easy and went smoothly. The staff was very friendly over the phone and in person. Blue Ridge Helicopter is located at Gwinnett Airport in Lawrenceville. The first date we chose unfortunately didn't work out. Heavy rain was expected that afternoon. Our pilot Chris did not recommend us flying that afternoon and asked if we were open to rescheduling. We rescheduled for a couple of weeks ahead and the weather was perfect! Chris is experienced and was very knowledgeable of Atlanta history and landmarks. They informed us that if we wanted to book again in the future, we would pay the same Groupon rate. Very competitive to other helicopter tours!
