We had an absolutely serendipitous meeting story with Hildeberto that included singing for strangers and ended in a fantastic 2 days of touring Terceira. He was the perfect tour guide for 6 friends on an adventure who were impressed with his historical knowledge, quick wit, and love for his island. We got to experience an once in a lifetime bull "chase" from a locals home, enjoyed fantastic food (ask about the local beef dish) and got a full tour of what the island had to offer.  His company may be called Taxi Amigo, but he was definitely more of an amigo than simply a taxi. Hilderberto, is an amazing tour guide. He was great with 4 teenagers showing them the whole island. Hilderberto, would adventure with the kids rock climbing, hiking, taking them off the paths and even to some Of the best restaurants. Wonderful timely service in every way! Great driver in a clean cab who told us all about the island.

What a great experience! I took the bus from Angra to Biscoitos without thinking about how I would get back... Needless to say it ended up dark, cold and I was alone. I'm so happy I found this guy on Yelp! He drove across the island and was so patient/helpful when I tried to describe where I was. He kept in constant contact about where he was. I went from being alone in a foreign place to in his cozy van. Great driving and nice conversation. read more

We had a wonderful time with Hildeberto - Normally "on our own" travelers, we wanted to get the "lay of the land", so to speak, so we decided to give Hildeberto a go. What a great decision! We learned so much about the island, it's history, it's place in world exploration, AND it's geology. Hildeberto is a treasure trove of knowledge, and presents it in the most pleasant, unassuming, manner. He took us through and around the island, allowing us time to explore and enjoy the many beautiful sites, and yet managing the tour so that we could see all the highlights. His van(s) are spotless and comfortable, his driving is safe. By the way - he has an incredible baritone voice - try to talk him into singing for you! We love him and will recommend to everyone - just as long as he has time for us the next time we visit!! read more

When we arrived at Terceira airport he was there waiting for us. He has a very beautiful van which was very spacious and comfortable for the 5 of us. He had to take us to Santa Barbara from the airport. He chose to take us through the middle of the island which was beautiful. But the best thing was that the whole way there he gave us the history and insight of the island. It was an awesome experience. We also had him pick us up again and take us to airport. He's the most friendly, knowledgeable, and kind person you'll ever meet. DEFINITELY would recommend to anyone needing taxi service. He does all day Island tours to just taxing from one place to another. read more
