And then, they advised us to replace the pump and also said that the pump was not able to push the water into the drain field fast enough so our field is probably failing. Later (after a week of my bugging them) they sent me an estimate for a new pump and a drain field investigation. Total Cost: $4880. Forgetaboutit, I thought. I called another company who sent someone out who gave me some good advice... for free. I then did my own testing and found that the pump was successfully pumping 50 gallons per minute into my "failing" drain field. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my system. These guys were just trying to "up-sell" me services that I didn't need.
