However, I am giving them 5 stars because their Homeschooling program is the BEST! It allows us, the parents, to put them in the programs they will excel in. It allows the parents to teach. It allows educational funds so the parents can hire tutors that come into the home or meet up someplace nearby. There are monthly field trips. ABC MOUSE, annual passes to discovery cube or zoo (and other places like that). You can literally put your kids in boxing and the school will pay for it under the PE subject. My soon-to-be Junior had a rocky Freshman year (which he's made up for), and now boasts a 3.82 GPA, and is slated to graduate early! Regardless of his current status, Ms. Hatcher concluded my son didn't meet UP's requirements because of a D on his 9th grade transcripts! It's pathetic that a school would dismiss a student's tenacious effort and progress because of a less than satisfactory FRESHMAN grade. Not only is there a transition phase kids face when moving from Jr High to High School, but these kids were also coming from virtual learning, mask requirements, etc. The district should really take these scenarios into consideration, and review UP's admission requirements - both published and unpublished.

My son loves this school! They care deeply for the success of the kids. Along with a regular…read moreeducation they also teach aviation, nursing, guitar, second languages, robotics and design. Classes run 8:35 to about 12:35. The lunch they offer is not always so great but it's free to all students! So no complaints here. Lol. They make a plan and help you accomplish them! Best part these kids are good kids. Never heard of a fight there. The location is out of the way but you see these kids hustle to get to class. Even when they're getting off of city buses trying to get to school on time. My son is autistic and I worried about bullying and we never had an issue here. He can't wait to get to school!
