I attended TA back in 2008 and graduated in 2009 and made some good friends. At the time the school was located off of River Rd which I know it's at a different location now. The instructors were so kind, atmosphere of the school was beautiful. Here are some things I didn't notice about it that I wish I would have noticed at the time I was attending. The prices for service were just as much as a normal hair salon. There weren't a lot of walk-ins so we didn't get that much hands on experience with clients on the floor. BIG We were lucky if we got one client a week so majority of the time we worked on mannequin heads. They also didn't let us experience color ratios/mixing and being in the back bar or the receptionist areas. When I did have a client in my chair (most of the time it was my family members to come support me) and I would do a haircut on them it was like pulling teeth to have an instructor come check my work. They seemed annoyed when I asked for help. They didn't teach me to make sections when it comes to doing haircuts they always showed me to start in the middle with a big section and to slowing follow the guide towards the crown of the head. They barely focused on the things we needed to know to pass the state boards. It felt like we needed to teach ourselves how to do haircuts, color, perms, shampoo sets, facials, waxing, pedicures, manicures, etc. Looking back I wish I would have attended Evan's Hair School because they get way more experience with walk ins and their prices are much cheaper. It's been a rude awakening with working in the hair industry fresh out of school and after being a sahm for 10+ years and feeling absolutely clueless as to what I'm doing. This hair school is also very very expensive so that also is so frustrating to feel like this after spending all the money and time here. read more

I have gone in before and they have always done a really good job with my hair! This time I went in for another hair trim and met Lauren! She was the best! She took time to wash my hair, cut it to how I wanted it and styled it. I felt like I was truly taken care of. As a mom of littles self-care isn't easy to make time for, so it meant so much to me! She was genuine , asked me lots of questions and it was so fun chatting with her. She took her time to make sure it was just right and gave me good recommendations on my hair. She looks like she enjoys her job, wants to be there, and is just a positive, sweet girl. She honestly made my whole day! read more

I came in to get my hair done for an event. I asked for the color on the right and left with the color on the left. Spent about $180 for this. My hair is really damaged and a lot of it off when it was being combed out. Over priced and clearly not what I asked for. read more

I took my daughters in for a fun day. Most of the girls did a good job and were really nice, but one did not seem to want to be doing my daughter's nails and hair. It made my daughter feel bad. When the instructor came over to check, she could tell that my daughter's hair did not look good (thankfully, it was just a style). However, I was surprised that the instructor did not step in and help my daughter look better. I was disappointed in the mani and pedi. I will not go back to have my nails done. Normally I love Taylor Andrew's as a school. I've gone several times to different locations but I was not impressed at all with st George. Took the stylist an hour and a half for A TRIM. When I asked the head stylist to finish so I could get to work on time he said no and that she needed to finish it. No style, left with partially wet hair and was late to work. Got there and realized my hair was still uneven!! read more

Hurry in and see Chelsea because she is graduating soon! She gave me one of THE BEST haircuts I've ever had! She also did a balayage that turned out perfect! Sweet girl! The teachers helped along the way which did take some time in between. I spent 4 hours there. Understand with a school, they have to have the teachers help mix color and come check the cuts. The place was clean. All the students were professional on the floor with how they acted and their conversation. The prices were, in my opinion, on point! If the teachers are teaching everyone like they did Chelsea, I will go back time after time. read more

Thier sink where you get your hair washed is very very uncomfortable. My right arm was getting numb. Plus I asked for a baylage darker roots and lighter shade ends, it looks opposite lighter roots darker ends. Becareful. read more

If you're in a hurry DO NOT go here!! These are students learning to cut hair & the new ones are scared to death they're going to mess up. I have above shoulder length hair & went in for a trim. IT TOOK HER 2 HOURS!! A lot of time was waiting for the instructor to come check the work after each section they're working on. So he is spread thin. I use a beauty school in every city I've lived in but never in my life has a haircut taken this long!! Word to the wise: ASK FOR A SENIOR STUDENT!! I wish I could give this place a 0.. received the worst pedicure I've had in my life.. I actually had the polish removed before leaving. The pedicure was about 30 minutes when it was carved out as a 1 hour and 30 minute service. The rest of my party was still receiving their pedicure as I sat and waited for an 1 hour for them to finish. 0 effort was put into the service. Nail polish all over cuticles. I complained to management and they offered to give 25% off when I said I was not paying they said 50% off was the lowest. The management was not professional, walked away and left the front staff to deal with the issue. Loved getting pedicures here, but won't be returning. BUT if you do come here for a pedicure ask for either of the Jess's or Ashton! read more

Honestly worst hair experience. I get that I went to a hair school and they're learning, but my girl did not know what she was doing, like at all. She took off way more hair than I asked, and didn't even cut it right and so she and the instructor had to take off a little more. My favorite part about getting my hair done is getting it washed, and she even did a crappy job at that (hard to mess that up). She even kept saying "sorry I'm so tired" "sorry I'm a mess" and then at one point said "I forgot your towel, like I always do". I've been to hair schools before and had way awesome experiences. I would not go back. Even the other girls that would walk up to the instructor seemed like they had no idea what they were doing. I think that they might be putting these students on the floor way too soon. read more

I got a scalp treatment and a trim and I just want to say it was a waste of 22$ The lady put a tiny amount of treatment in my hair so all she was doing was running her fingers through my dry scalp. For my trim, I asked her to cut it into a slight V and she cut my hair straight. She didn't even ask me how much I wanted off or anything. I didn't notice till I got home because she didn't show me how it looked. Usually they do a decent job and actually give me what I asked for but this time this girl didn't even care. read more

I just recently graduated from Taylor Andrews Academy and I'm now a very happy licensed master esthetician! I had a great time at TA and enjoyed my education very much. I already miss it and all the wonderful instructors, staff & students! There are a few schools to choose from in St. George and I checked out most of their esthetics or cosmetology programs and they simply didn't compare to TA. I have used Taylor Andrews for six years. I have never been disappointed. However, today I had the ultimate in student service with Odalys. She was friendly and a great conversationalist, but more importantly she did a great job with my hair and addressing my every need and concern. She has such a great work ethic, I was so impressed she was so conscientious at such a young age. She is younger than most of the students there. She delivered top service! Marco is my favorite supervisor too! He figured out my color combination and cut for curly hair so well. I am less satisfied on the times when he is not there. He is personable and patient with customers and students. Kudos to Marco and Odalys at Taylor Andrews! The new facility is so much more comfortable too. read more

I got my hair cut here having no clue the students are thrown out on the floor pretty soon after initially starting school....that scared me. I went in to get a wash, blow out, and flat iron and trim....be warned they might put a ton of random product in your hair hoping it'll work. Regardless of all the aforementioned stuff, I would've given them 5 stars for what they are but what knocks them down is that I was told *3* separate times that what I wanted (which is exactly what I and a friend got) was one price but once we were done, we were charged another price. It was still much cheaper than going to any other salon but I find it shady that the prices were magically different AFTER services were rendered. read more

This was an AWESOME place to go and get your hair‍ done, I really LOVED my hair when it was done being cut, the person that had cut my hair was Nancy very beautiful young woman. Did a VERY VERY SWEET job!!! The place was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL there was no mess, the seats were VERY Comfy and they even offer you something to drink was INCREDIBLY NICE Thank you VERY Much!! The NEW BIG BUILDING is VERY VERY beautiful and EXTRAORDINARY, Very THANKFUL for that and it was only $9 for the hair cut.
