All the do- it- yourself usual fixes failed. I called Robert Garage Door. The woman who answered the call explained the process, indicated there was no cost for an evaluation and gave me window time frames that a technician would be available. I asked for an evaluation. Within that given time frame, a technician, Nick, called to advise me that he would be arriving in 15 minutes. Nick was personable and professional. He explained the issue that was occurring with my garage door, recommended a solution, and advised me of the cost of the solution. In response to my question, he gave me an estimate of the time required to complete the repairs. In spite of the fact that Nick was working in a hot garage on a day when the heat index was over 100 degrees, he stayed focused and completed the job with his time estimate and for the fee quoted. I respect that man's tenacity and work ethic. Nick was also good at answering my questions about maintaining my garage door. There is nothing good about having a garage door that malfunctions. But once my garage door was broken, dealing with the personnel at Robert's Garage Doors made getting back to normal life as easy as possible. Based on my experience today, I highly recommend this company.

He was there in exactly 6 minutes, introduced himself, explained what they were going to do, asked if I had any questions or concerns, and then began and finished the entire install in 30 minutes. I even had them install a new outside keypad. He then showed and explained to me how the new opener, remotes, and outside keypad worked. He even took the time to reprogram my car's garage door opener. Junior was very pleasant to talk to and made sure I was completely satisfied with the new opener and its installation. Pretty good service. Installation was smooth, we went from older liftmaster to a newer liftmaster…read more I also appreciated that they lubricated the rails and the door is quieter now. A couple issues did occur. The installer didn't take the lightbulb from the old liftmaster unit and add it to the new one, they just threw the old one out with the perfectly good light bulb in it and didn't install the bulb in the new unit. I had to go in the trash to get the lightbulb from the old unit after the installer left. Also, the garage door opened and closed from inside the garage but from the alley, the remotes would not close the garage. Only open it. I messaged Mohamed and demonstrated the issue over facetime. Eventually, he stopped replying to my messages and didn't provide a timeframe for sending somebody back out to look at it. I took matters into my own hands and deleted and reprogrammed the remotes myself several times until the garage door remotes worked as they should. I would have preferred that these issues were addressed on the first visit but in the end, the garage door is working again.

I used them twice and can no longer recommend them, I would avoid and look elsewhere. On the second…read morevisit they replaced a spring, I complained it was noisy on opening and was told to "give it a while and let it settle" and that we have 90 day warranty they would come back out if it didn't improve. When they came back out (because it was still noisy) they said I need new rollers and cables. We declined to have the work done immediately to get other estimates and they tried charging a $45 service fee (for a warranty check). They then threatened to place a lien if we did not pay the $45. Actually insane thing to threaten, over $45 when we have paid them nearly $2,000 for work over the past year. In summary, their prices are high, their warranty is sad (most reputable garage door companies will give 1 year minimum) and their business practices are unethical and unprofessional.
