A couple issues did occur. The installer didn't take the lightbulb from the old liftmaster unit and add it to the new one, they just threw the old one out with the perfectly good light bulb in it and didn't install the bulb in the new unit. I had to go in the trash to get the lightbulb from the old unit after the installer left. Also, the garage door opened and closed from inside the garage but from the alley, the remotes would not close the garage. Only open it. I messaged Mohamed and demonstrated the issue over facetime. Eventually, he stopped replying to my messages and didn't provide a timeframe for sending somebody back out to look at it. I took matters into my own hands and deleted and reprogrammed the remotes myself several times until the garage door remotes worked as they should. I would have preferred that these issues were addressed on the first visit but in the end, the garage door is working again.

As we think about future needs, Venetian Designs will 100% be our go-to team. We had a laundry lists of project "asks" for Luke and his team: paint our entire house (three floors), install new base boarding and trim throughout the house (inclusive of our old wooden windows), paint our kitchen cabinets, create built-in shelving and cabinets for our living room, install recessed lighting throughout our home, install new doors throughout the home, gut and completely remodel 2.5 bathrooms, add wainscoting as accents, sand and re-stain our staircases and re-do the aesthetics and tiling around our fireplace, finish unfinished closet space to turn into a wine cellar, finish another unfinished area of our basement including adding ceiling tiles (to name a few). After putting out a request through the Yelp search service, O's was one of several that contacted us seeking to provide an estimate for the work. Out of all the contractors that came by to give an estimate, O's was the only one that provided straightforward pricing without playing games like increasing the overall price to make up for projects we decided not to take on just yet, and they also provided an honest assessment of what kinds of materials we'd need to get things to look the way we wanted them to. Luis provided the initial estimate, and was courteous, knowledgeable, and easy to work with from the first time we met him, all the way through the completion of the project. He took time to listen to what we wanted, and provided sound advice on how to get there, instead of just telling us how something had to be done and not considering what we wanted the finished result to look like. He took time to listen to us regarding everything from the big picture of how to get the project from start to completion, to the smallest detail of paint and design, and he continually made sure each piece was done to our complete satisfaction. I can't say enough good things about his project management and how thankful we are to have had him working with us on this. Whenever anything came up, he was always a text or a phone call away, and it was taken care of just like that. I also can't say enough good things about the crews that came to do the work. Every single one of them was friendly, courteous, respectful of our home and our needs while they were working, and most importantly, incredibly skilled in their work. Their skill and attention to detail were phenomenal, and they always took care to make sure everything was done perfectly. I'm sure I told each of them over and over how their work made the house look the way it should have from the beginning, and if we'd had our choice, they would have been the ones to do the work originally. They also took time to do a thorough cleanup at the end of each day, and were happy to check in with us and keep us posted on their progress, as well as making sure we were satisfied with the way things were looking each step of the way. Every single one of them were true professionals in every sense of the word, and their work is second to none. The interior spaces finally look the way we'd envisioned them from the beginning, and they took time to fix all of the issues left by the original contractor down to the smallest detail. Looking now at their truly superior work, I can safely say there's no comparison between the way the house looked before and how it looks now. I also can't thank them enough for everything they did. In the middle of the project, our basement got flooded by the storms in July 2023. The mostly cosmetic project that we'd originally hired O's to do before now became a complete basement renovation, including the replacement of drywall, studs, insulation, the pouring of new concrete, laying of tile, and then painting and decorating the entire basement essentially from scratch. O's team handled this unplanned second phase of our project just as well as they'd handled the first, with Luis providing his stellar project management and each member of the team providing their superior level of workmanship once again. We now have a fully functional finished basement once again, and honestly, one that far exceeds the previous version we had as well. All of this is thanks to the team at O's, who we couldn't possibly have done this without, nor would I trust anyone else to work on our house after having experienced the quality of work we got by hiring O's. In addition to all of this, they made sure to stay within our budget and still managed to give us the home we'd dreamed of all along. We're also already planning our next project with them, and wouldn't even think of going to anyone else. TL;DR: if you need to hire someone to fix literally anything in your home, hire O's. It'll be done right the first time, no matter what condition it's in when they arrive, from faulty to flooded. Their work is what all contractors should aspire to.
