after shopping around on Yelp I found Jose at AJ O D he sounded more knowledgeable , they came to my place 15 minutes realier and did good job . 2 things needed to be addressed , he wanted to come as soon as possible but I asked him to wait for next week . My garage door was not operating properly and I called AJ's around 12:30. Teo came the same day, about 4 hours later and found and repaired the problem within fifteen minutes. He wanted me to wait a few days to see if the door was working properly and didn't want to take any money before knowing if the problem was completely solved. I was shocked! Nearly every repairman I've had in my home has found some way to cheat me. I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND AJ'S. They are more concerned about getting it right than getting a dollar. Called after 6:30 pm for a repair on my garage door, and was set up with an appointment for 8 am the next morning. Was a few minutes behind but that wasn't a big deal at all because I'm in the service industry as well and we typically give customers 3 hour windows so him saying 8 am and only being a few minutes behind was great. Yelp, you've done it again, you have yet to fail me! My garage door was not functional, so I looked up repair persons on Yelp yesterday, 4/8/17. AJ's Overhead door had a high rating so I called this company along with a few others. Theo was the first to get back to me. He sent me a message via Yelp stating he would call me in 5 mins. Sure enough he called within the promised time parameters, and was available to come to look at my garage door today, 4/9/17. He let me know there was not enough tension on the door which is why it would not open. From arrival to completion it took about 30 minutes to fix. I was concerned it would take all day, which I do not have time for, because I need to get to church. Welp he is paid and gone now, and my garage door works like a charm! Just bought my house. Literally only been living in it 3 weeks or so. Brand new garage and I damage it by leaving my lift door up on the back of my SUV up trying to get to a funeral. They responded very quickly once I called and even got there fast. The tech pointed out many mistakes that the seller did by trying to be cheap. They quoted me a price way lower then I thought I was going to have to pay, and even fixed some extra things that came up after there quote for the same price. He gave me a quote to replace my broken spring, then went above and beyond by lubricating the track, wheels and hinges, as well as reprogramming my remotes that I have been having problems with. Our garage door would not close unless you held the button and override it. We called several places and they all wanted $50-$60 to come out for a service call. We called AJs and they do not charge for the service call so we made an appt for them to come out at 11 am the next day. Jose came out and quickly showed us why our door would not close (the eye on the bottom was out of alignment) and programmed our remotes for us. We asked him if he could put in one of the keypad's right outside our big garage door and he said sure and had it in and working in less than 5 minutes. Jose was VERY prompt, professional and knowledgeable. We asked him about getting a new garage door and he gave us an estimate right then and there but told us that our door was just fine and that we did not need to spend the money, but my husband told him we wanted to get a newer insulated light colored door. Jose only charged $75.00 and spent a little over an hour patiently answering all our questions and showing us what to do if that "eye" gets out of alignment again. He also showed my husband how to adjust the rail himself instead of charging us to do it and it was a very simple fix. Jose was very honest and knew exactly what had to be done and did it in less than 10 minutes, we just kept asking him questions and inquiring about the different kinds of doors and openers and he took the time to explain everything to us and made sure everything was working properly before he left.
