The cleaning was done one of the dentist and he was very brut. I had water pouring down my neck during the cleaning. The fillings were painful because the dentist kept hitting my gums. He cut into my top gums with flossing so rough. I went home and had to pull filling out of my gums that was left behind. The only good things were that the customer service was great. Very nice people all of them. I hate to find another dentist after searching for this one and waiting for an appointment. I don't want to be worried I'll get hurt.

The last clinic I went to scared me so badly that I left and never returned. They did not explain anything to me. Just said "you have gum disease" and threw a pamphlet my way advertising the antibacterial injections for the treatment and immediately discussed the money without explaining the issue. I got scared, started crying and left. Mesquite Dental Group was thorough. They have explained everything, every step of the way. They showed me my bone loss on the monitor and explained why its a bad thing and how we will stop it from progressing. They didnt scare me half to death. Upon getting the actual treatment I was terrified, but they kept me calm. Assistants kept asking if I needed a blanket to warm up because of my shaking, they were just concerned I was cold. I would shake my head "no" and by this point the dentist had become well aquainted with me enough to respond "no she's just really scared". The dentist, Dr. Susan George is super sweet, patient and calming. I got five fillings, and a thorough deep cleaning on my teeth and under my gums, and laser treatment to attack the diseased tissue. Michelle Pritchet did the cleaning. Shes amazing and thorough and explained every process to me. I did half yesterday and the other half today. Now I have to keep it maintained with regular visits to the dentist, every three months at first, and then every six months after everything is under control. I will not let anyone else in the world touch my mouth except for the great ladies at Mesquite Dental Group. When the first clinic said I have gum disease, I thought it was a scam or joke because of the lack of meanings and explanation. Turns out it was true. This stuff is no joke. Brush. Floss. Get regular cleanings. My last cleaning was over five years ago. Big mistake. I will have to live with this and maintain it the rest of my life. Im glad I have found a place where I am comfortable enough to get my teeth taken care of.

They also claimed that I needed to replace my crowns for an additional $6,000. The office manager Jonathan Bailey, told me they could polish my teeth, but then refused to provide any cleaning at all unless I agreed to the deep cleaning. When I became upset about this, Dr. Saad Yoused said, "We will do nothing for her!" Notable, he wasn't even the dentist examing me ----Dr. Angela Shein was the one who evaluated my teeth and recommended all this work. Ironically, I visited another dentist five months ago who never mentioned anything about needing a deep cleaning. During this visit, Rebecca Patterson was calling out my gum measurements, and I noticed she was reporting 5's and 6's, while my previous appointments consistently noted 2, 3, and some 4's. I genuinely feel this office is more focused on money than patient care. I left without any cleaning or polish and will never return!

I showed up two minutes after that I let her know my reasoning. Only showing up late because they told me they were running behind, I'm dealing with a lot this morning because my brother died this week, she did not offer me any condolences. She did not try to see where I was coming from only told me that I needed to reschedule my appointment which I could not do since this is a tooth emergency and obviously can't make time for it this week. I don't want to be seen somewhere where the employees show zero compassion

So as a patient I felt like a burden to their day and felt guilty for having my 4 extractions as though they could barely tolerate my presence. I have asked for feedback to find out what I might have done to so offend them, but they have not returned my call. I just felt awful, as though I had done something wrong and I am not sure that's the normal experience for new patients. Again, I hope to hear why they found me so disdainful. But it really was so uncomfortable I now feel worse (guilty) and worry about returning for subsequent care.
