Having vacationed at Deep Creek for several years, I've used at least three rental agencies over the years. As a renter I appreciated the fact that I didn't have to pick up a key from them. Having coded doors to their properties allowed us to arrive in the Deep Creek area on our timetable without having to get their between certain hours to pick up the key. Now we did have to stop in handle some paperwork and swipe the credit card. Another perk to using coded doors was not having to coordinate who had keys when parties went about their own adventures. The other nice thing was they provided a few emergency staples in each of their properties. You still have to bring your own toilet paper, toiletries, detergents, etc, but they do start you off with a roll of paper in each bathroom, a paper towel roll, trash bags in each can and a single-use dishwasher detergent. This is very thoughtful touch in case you forgot to get bring these things and the local grocery store is closed. Their housekeeping staff did a nice job prepping the place. The linens and towels were fresh and clean. The kitchen and bathrooms were very clean. The reservation staff was very polite and helpful. The other rental managers servicing the Deep Creek Lake area have been more than fine, but if there isn't a specific property I wanted to stay at, I will opt for Taylor-Made. read more

My family stayed at the "All About the View" house last week and had a FANTASTIC TIME!!! Not only is this property absolutely beautiful, but the staff at Taylor Made Deep Creek is VERY professional, courteous and super-friendly. From check-in to check-out, everything was great! The views from this house are astounding. Wake up in the morning, grab a cup of coffee and sit on the back deck and watch the sunrise.....WOW! Their housekeeping department needs an award. Rock solid in every way. We stayed a Peaceful Paradise a world class property and could not have been happier. I've ready some of the reviews about having bad surprises in the properties but the only surprises we ran into were of the other kind - all little delightful surprises where the owners had installed/upgraded things that made the experience top notch. I can't comment on the customer service because we never needed it, and that is the way I like it. They clearly have a high volume of tenants and properties because everything from the website & online payment to the check-in/out procedures ran like clock work. read more

No air-condition!!! You should have known better that it never mentioned anything about airconditioning. That is what I was told when I got here. My best friend rented this place online from Kuwait when he was in service. He wanted to spend his vacation by a lake staying cool from all the heat when he returns to the States. When we got here there was no air-condition. We paid $1400 to spend the week. The temperature is gonna be up in the high 90's all week. Taylor made rental told us that we should have known that since it didn't mention having air conditioning that it would not. Wtf!! Even a cheap motel found anywhere has air-condition. I am staying on top of winding way. It is a four story townhouse. The weather is up in the high 90's. There is no a.c. but we are staying because we spent over $200/night. We are only using first and second floor because it is too hot going any higher. Taylor made reservation said it never mentioned having a.c. that it was our job to call and ask questions and not to asume stuff. Please do not use Taylor made reservations if you are not gonna call up and ask for basic necessity things. read more

Our family was at Deep Creek Lake for a family wedding. We rented the Mount Lakemore property and it was perfect. The house is very spacious and comfortable. We had an issue with the oven; I called the after hours staff and they had a maintenance person there first thing in the morning. The house was clean and the kitchen well stocked. The layout of the bedrooms gives everyone a bit of privacy. Highly recommend this property. read more

I am currently staying at the Canadian Day rental house at Deep Creek which is managed by a Taylor-Made. We arrived at the house to find two broken refrigerators. We contacted Taylor-made five or six times and each time we heard a different story. We were given a cooler and ice, but because of Covid brought a lot of food with us as instructed. A new fridge was delivered on day 4 of our 7 day trip. They did not offer backup refrigerators-- only coolers. Not only was it frustrating and inconvenient, but we also lost our food in the mess of it all. While Taylor-made manages the property, they don't appear to have to have the power to make purchasing decisions. It appeared that the owner was very reluctant to purchase a new refrigerator even though The refrigerator was 16 years old. They do not care about their guests. Do not stay here ! In addition, the review stated close to lake. It's not! The property is misrepresented. Buyer beware! Check yelp and google for more bad reviews by others. Note: we were offered $150 for the inconvenience. The weekly rental on this place is $4000, so that's a ridiculous offer. read more

This Memorial Day weekend I was among a group of people who stayed at the Irvana rental. This rental home should never have been booked. When we opened the door to the home, we were struck with a strong odor of mold. Venting the home did little good. I suspect this rental company and the owners of the home knew of the water problem in the basement because there was a dehumidifier running downstairs. Whatever happened here, the carpet was still wet, there was mold around the baseboards and mold on the ceiling and walls of the downstairs bathroom. Sheet rock tape has started to peel. And yes, we called to register our complaint, but no representative from the company had the courtesy to return our call. Nor was a representative sent to the home to see for themselves. This is another indication that this company knew the condition of the house and choose to rent it anyway. I will strongly urge my group and others to not only never rent this house again, but to not rent another home from this company. read more

We just booked another trip for a New Years Celebration at Deep Creek, thanks to Chad at Taylor-Made Vacations. When we first inquired about booking for New Years, most of the larger homes were already booked, so I called around, checked other websites, and found nothing as nice as the properties through Taylor Made. I had basically given up on the idea until Chad from Taylor-Made Vacations called me back to let me know that someone had cancelled and something had opened up for the weekend we wanted. We are sooooo happy that we get to spend some time on this slopes this year as a family in a beautiful 5 bedroom lake front house.....Thank you so much Chad! I used Taylor Made vacations to reserve a house in April 2020. Due to Corona Corona virus restrictions they cancelled my rental plans. They would not issue me a refund, but expected me to use my rental insurance policy for reimbursement. People without insurance were already issued refunds on their trips. They would not provide me with exact paperwork I requested as needed by insurance stating they were in fact closed. Taylor Made insisted I applied for a cancellation request form. This way they can still keep my money, and have the insurance hopefully accept my claim. They are completely taking advantage of the situation, and its morally unethical. Insurance guaranteed my claim would be denied if submitted under the TRUTHFUL terms of them denying my stay due to closing for corona virus. I refuse to sign a form saying I personally cancelled the trip so they can still make money during this terrible time. My only option was to submit a payment dispute to my credit card company. How companies deal with this current pandemic speaks volumes of their morals and ethics. Manager said he's happily awaiting to deny my credit dispute as well as any other inquiries I make. I bought travel insurance for my personal protection, not for companies like this scam it for personal gain. I will never use Taylor Made vacations again, and highly advise you to do the same. Plenty of options out there..... please use a company that's honest as well as focused on customer satisfaction. read more

I reserved the Serenity Summit property this past weekend. I understand that all of the televisions and electronic devices aren't guaranteed to properly function but when we (myself and 8 guests) checked in Friday afternoon we discovered that not one but two of the televisions (one television in the master bedroom and one television in the basement) were completely unresponsive to the remote controls. After several trips by the property associate, two remotes were finally brought in and programmed to the televisions. My wife and I reviewed the pictures that were online and prior to our arrival Friday afternoon we selected the bedroom on the top floor with the fireplace. We checked in, unpacked and went out for dinner. When we returned to the house to settle in and get comfortable for the night we lit the gas fire place. After an hour or two the smell of natural gas remained heavy and we noticed that the fireplace had a gas leak. Even when only the pilot was lit and the fireplace was turned off, the heavy smell of gas filled the room. Again we contacted the property associate, who came out and also noticed the heavy gas leak smell. He told us that he was unable to fix it and could only turn off the gas to the fireplace to alleviate the heavy gas smell. Again I am aware that every item within the house cannot be guaranteed to function properly but gas leaks within homes are extremely dangerous. The safety of my wife and I were not only compromised but also the safety of all of the occupants within the house. Saturday morning I awoke to prepare breakfast for everyone only to discover that neither of large burners on the electric stove were operative. Only one would heat up to a cooking temperature but after that burner was on for a few minutes it would cool down significantly despite the heat setting on the stove. We contacted a property associate again. When he arrived he told that the issue could not be repaired and that the stove needed to be replaced. A hot plate was instead offered and brought to the house. Unfortunately the two burners on the hot plate were too small for the large pots and pans that were needed to accommodate a meal for so many adults. Thus, we were unable to cook using the stove or the small hot plate. One of the basic expectations for a rental home, and for basic human existence, is the ability to eat. A 5 bedroom house with a full kitchen would lead the average person to believe that they would be able to prepare food and eat. The occupants of the house could not enjoy a basic necessity because the stove needed to be replaced. Sunday morning while everyone was making their the morning preparations, the hot water turned off. Please allow me to clarify. The water was not cold; the water would not come out of the faucet. Some of the guests were taking showers when the water abruptly shut off. As before we contacted a property associate who came out and could not explain why the water shut off and who actually stated that he would report the issue to the property owner. Eventually the hot water was restored and everyone was able to bathe but not without being considerably inconvenienced again. My wife and I enjoy Deep Creek Lake and we travel there at least once a year and stay at different properties. This was our first stay at a Deep Creek Vacations property. We have had great vacations every year but this recent visit was horrible. Not only were we inconvenienced waiting for a property associate to handle the many issues that arose but our safety was compromised by a gas leak that should not have gone unrecognized prior to our arrival. I contacted the management team and received an apology and an assurance that there was no gas leak. I consider myself a fairly intelligent individual; certainly capable of determing that a heavy gas smell should not fill a room several hours after the gas fireplace has been lit. No gas leak? I suppose that is what they were supposed to say. Ultimately, I was offered a $100 credit or a $125 credit towards another stay. Clearly, our concerns and inconvenience were given little to no regard by the management team. Inclusive of the gamut of issues already described, we couldn't even prepare a cooked meal during the entire stay and the expectation is that I stay again...and pay for almost of it? Two nights at the property cost over $1000. I am sadly disappointed and very upset about this most recent visit. If you want to enjoy all of the time during your vacation instead of waiting for property associates to arrive for multiple issues and ultimately be told that the major issues cannot be fixed, I recommend that you be aware of this property. We certanly did not get what we paid for this past weekend, nor were we given an acceptable resolution. A wasted weekend and wasted money. read more

Scam. We booked for the first week of August. We picked a house based on the amenities and the way the bedrooms were organized. The DAY AFTER they took our final payment, I get an email that they have decided to remove the pool table, and remove beds and change them with one bed only. These were the two reasons why we rented the house. They couldn't have waited until after the summer season to change the house? I reached out, and had zero response. MY son rented the Lake House this past week. When we came it was freezing in the house and the next day the air did not go on. We had to call for maintenance. The air conditioner worked for a day and went off again and had to call for maintenance again. Toilet in basement overflowed into shower and maintenance had to be called again. Very disappointed even though it is a nice home. We were told owner of house does not want to fix air conditioner so they just put freon in it every couple weeks when they get a call- I would not rent this house again. Paid 3000.00 for a week and had to call Taylor made to fix problems numerous times. Not really what I want to do on vacation. read more

ENDLESS FEES. Terrible bait and switch practices. They don't tell you about fees until after you've paid your deposit, so you either lose your deposit or keep racking up fees. $250 fee because you didn't pay your deposit 90 days in advance (even if your booking date is less than 90 days away), fee because you didn't book far enough in advance (separate from the previous fee), ANOTHER late fee on top of that (seriously we got 3 "late" fees) $50 fee for more than 2 cars in the driveway (um, how are you supposed to get 10 people to the cabin with only 2 cars?), $120 fee for extra people, $200 fee for insurance (it's optional, but they never tell you that), $100 fee for "late friday check in" (what does that mean? we checked in at 4pm?), $200 fee for administration, and my personal favorite - extra $50 fee because the "winter" season was extended due to extra snowfall because of the snow last week, so at the last minute we no longer qualify for "late winter" rates. what the f***? where is that ever stated? seriously, it's not on the website or in any documentation. At the end of the day, what should have been a $670 rental became $1570 - $900 in FEES. On top of all that, the sleeper sofas are incredibly uncomfortable, they don't send repair people in a timely manner (we couldn't use our hot tub half the time because of this) Do yourself a favor and don't rent one of their properties. read more

We stayed in "Made It" for a week. It was a conveniently located and nicely appointed home. My only complaint about the home is that it smelled like dogs despite not being a "pet friendly" home. We booked our memorial day weekend trip for a friend's birthday through Taylor-Made and upon arriving, we were pleased with the clean and attractive condo in which we booked. Within the first couple of hours, an unfortunate situation occurred, leading us to having to be evacuated from the premises by authorities. I immediately contacted Taylor-Made and explained the situation, detailing the fact that we had none of our luggage, no access to our vehicles, phones etc. Within 20 minutes, Abby, the receptionist I was speaking with, contacted me back with a plan of action and had us transported to a new home until we had access to our current place of stay. She was calm and professional and handled the situation perfectly. Nick was the gentleman who personally drove us to the new house that they picked out for us at a moment's notice. He was reassuring, funny and 100 percent accommodating during this whole turn of events. He returned later to bring us back to our rental and proceeded to follow up with a text making sure that if we did need anything else to not hesitate to ask. Through it all, we all are very pleased with Taylor-Made and well definitely be planning to return in the future! read more

The process in which you go through to find the perfect vacation getaway in this 4 seasons area of Maryland seems simple. However; I can assure you that it is not! We recently planned a trip to the deep creek area for my birthday weekend to take in the beautiful winter scenery that the highest elevated point of Maryland had to offer. We started out by searching the company`s website for different properties that would suit our party of 9. Every place we would see would for the most part be breath taking not to mention the advertised cost wouldn't even come close to what each place ended up costing for a 2 night stay. In way kinda seemed like it was towing the line of bait and switch. We fell in love with a particular property called Valhalla. Now I have to say, words cannot describe this place and epic mountain side views over looking the creek or the fact that the architect of this multi million dollar property knew what they were doing by designing the entire back side of the home with a full panoramic view that looked down over this enchanted resort Maryland Mountain Town. My wife had obtained this weekend rental as a birthday present for me and to accommodate some of our closest friends. Pretty amazing. I'm giving this 3 stars because when you pay the upwards of $$$$ for two nights. One would expect hot water to never be an issue or an exhausting issue with climate control that never was overly comfortable. For the most part it stayed too warm. The last and most important reason the 3 star review is because of the disclaimer about 4 wheel drive vehicles needed to even access the property. It does mention that these type of vehicles may be required. But no where does it say that there is no question that you need it in order drive up drive way. I know what you're thinking... winter? Snow? Mountain? Use Common sense! Well I did . I actually called a few days a head of time to speak with someone regarding whether the drive way or lane leading up to the property would cause any problems if we didn't have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. I was told that would not be a problem that they keep that area clear. Wrong I had to park my vehicle at the local bar parking lot and wait for friends who had 4 wheel drive to get up to my weekend palace. Don't get me wrong. I would use this company again but with more discretion to what I expect for my experience that I am seeking when putting out top dollar. read more

We stayed at a rental home close to the Wisp ski area the bed linens were like sandpaper we went out and bought better ones at Walmart while changing the beds we found that two of the four beds had mildew under the mattress. We left a message the manager said there was nothing they could do and never offered any help! We are not cry babies but I would not recommend the Taylor Made properties beyond the horrible customer service. read more

I spent about a week reviewing properties to rent for a family vacation. It came down to a more expensive rental at Taylor Made (deepcreekvacations.com), a home from Railey Mountain Lake Vacations and a privately owned home off of VRBO. I called and emailed all parties to get the information on the homes. I decided to go with the "Taylor Made Vacation" home even though it was more expensive by $250 for the weekend than the second place VRBO home. When I called in to book the home, the quote suddenly did not include the travel insurance I was previously given as part of the original quote. Now the price of the home was closer to $400 more expensive for the weekend (other homes had the same amenties, bedrooms, etc). Even so, I asked for them to send me the rental agreement. When I got the rental agreement, the check-out time said 10am on the last day. I called to verify if that was right since that time is even before hotel check-out times... and we are talking about a 5 bedroom rental home with 10 guests. When I questioned the time, the receptionist took the natiest attitude I have ever heard about "me not accepting their company policy." Since I was spending $2,000 for the weekend, I figured I deserved to ask a couple questions. I told the receptionist that I thought that 10am was really early and asked politely if it could be extended. After the receptionist looked at the property, she said the check-out time should actually be 12pm, then with the worst attitude remarked... "but if you are not satisfied with our company policy I am more than happy to take your name off the reservation." Way to earn my business. Had you been at least indifferent, I would have made the reservation. With so many options out there and better pricing available, why would any customer put up with such attitude when you are spending thousands of dollars. Spare yourself the headache and rent with a place that values their customers. By the way, I eventually went with Railey Mountain Lake Vacations because they were courteous, helpful with questions and made me feel comfortable with my purchase. Casa Bella Rental - High hopes diminished and surveillance led to disappointment. I am giving only a 2-star rating on this house because of the poor service by Taylor Made Rental Properties at Deep Creek Lake and because friends of the owners of this rental property came by in a boat and took pictures of us without our permission! THE WORST THING about this rental was - 2 days in to our vacation - people in a boat floated slowly by us while some of us were sitting on the dock & other family members floated on tubes in the water. These people were taking photos of us! We asked what they were doing they out right admitted they were friends of the owners & the woman in the boat continued clicking taking pictures (without our permission!); it seemed we were under surveillance-WTH! During our 7th yr at DCL, we decided to rent "Casa Bella" based on photos on the Taylor Made website - that is actually where our negative review began. The photos were taken in a manner to make everything look bigger. When we arrived, nothing was as large as it appeared-especially the openness of the backyard and the rock area at the dock. Photos of the dock area seem were taken when the lake level was much lower, giving the impression of a bigger lakefront. This house is advertised with a private dock & 1 slip. We like that space to socialize with family and to dock rental boats. Taylor Made contacted us after we made our 2nd or 3rd payment stating the owner would be leaving his boat in the dock slip. It was too late to cancel the rental and get our money back - they have to be able to rent the property during the time you have reserved before they will give you a refund. When you are 3 rental payments in - chances of that happening are slim - food for thought but that is only my opinion. When we arrived at the property, there was a boat docked as well as a jet ski - just like the photo on the website, which left us with only one side of the dock to use for entertainment and our watercraft rentals. Approximately 3 days prior to our arrival, we were informed that the hot tub was not working - again, too late to cancel & get a refund. They indicated the hot tub would be repaired by Monday, but it was not useable until Wednesday night (we were refunded $125 for that). Other issues we encountered with the home upon arrival were; a toilet that ran continuously (i.e., phantom flushing for days), a leaking pipe under the kitchen sink (we noticed when we stored our garbage bags under the sink & the bottom of the cabinet was all wet), broken screen door from the kitchen to the deck (each time we opened the screen - it fell off the track), a handle falling off the door to the patio (handle fell off right in my hand), the wood railing to the basement was hanging off the wall, and there were NATS galore in the kitchen (we think from the stove not being cleaned properly since it has a grill you can use) - these were encountered when we arrived and most of which I reported as a good guest would so that the homeowners wouldn't end up with bigger problems. Taylor Made was called out 3 times to address the problems that were (ultimately) never fixed properly. High end finishes in the home were nice but didn't make up for the photo taking and repairs needed when we arrived. read more

"Forever Young" (not without some maintenance!) had nice curb appeal, BUT problems began when we toured the home. Here's how it started.... The upstairs bedroom's bathroom sink was filled with water that included some hair due to the sink drain not functioning. The dishwasher was run, but full of dishes to be put away, and there were empty beer bottles left in what was to be our freshly cleaned vacation rental. We immediately contacted Taylor Made Rental Office (wish I would have written down her name) and spoke to a representative that was not professional, courteous, or helpful. I asked to speak to a manager, one was not available but I was told my "concerns" would be passed along and addressed first thing on Friday morning. We made the best of who got the bathroom without a functioning sink for the night. Our next surprise was the hot water heater was turned down to vacation mode - who doesn't like a cold shower? The main doorway has a sliding screen door that was out of adjustment and kept falling off the tracks. The hot tub which we sought out for the kids, was 70 degrees, missing most of the knobs, and would not turn on - despite being "serviced and cleaned" less than 8 hours earlier. The bed spread in the 1 st Floor Master was soiled with what looked like feces (thankfully did not smell) which we immediately placed in the washing machine. Day 2 we took a brisk (freezing) shower and waited for maintenance - finally at mid-morning I became impatient and went to the office. Thankfully, Stacy at the desk was very professional and courteous, she listened to our issues and wrote them down while assuring us she would contact maintenance immediately and notify a manager. Later that day we were contacted by Chris, Manager of reservations and customer service, to follow up on the maintenance issues. Chris responded by voicemail the issues had been addressed and she would like to do "something" for the inconvenience. The sink was fixed and we finally had hot water, but the screen door and hot tub did not come out as good. The hot tub shut off and would not restart and the screen door fell off again. The next day I stopped at the office again to report both, at this point I am very upset and no manager is available to speak to - later that day I did receive a v.m. but was finished at that point - we were leaving the next morning. Wrap up - I contact Chris again after returning home see what compensation she planned for renting a vacation home that was not clean, had one non-functional bathroom and no hot water for 1 of 3 days, was marketed with a hot tub that was not functional at all during our stay, and a semi functional front door. She was courteous and polite (I was also) after verifying the information that the hot tub was still not working and reminding me that a maid service was offered when I came into the office on day 2 -which I declined to have someone that had done so poorly the first time, the opportunity to come in and rummage through my belongings, No Thanks. She offered $100, which is less than one tenth the cost of this unit for 3 days - I accepted. What else could I do but accept and share my experience with you and anyone else thinking of using this rental or Taylor Made / Deepcreekvacations.com. read more

The folks at Taylor-Made are amazing. I've been vacationing at WISP for the past 5 years, and have always rented from Taylor-Made. I've never had an issue. All the homes (we've rented a different one each year) were exactly as advertised, and each year the service and quality exceeded our very high expectations. This year, we decided to buy at WISP .... And immediately hired Taylor-Made to represent our home, "Top of The Slopes." Jodi (one of the owners of Taylor-Made) and Anet (Owner Relations Dept. Assistant Manager) have been incredible to work with. They have assisted me in making improvement to Top of The Slopes to make it even better for future renters. I highly recommend Taylor-Made for both rentals and as a property management company. Taylor Made has the nicest, most helpful staff for visitors to the Deep Creek Area. The properties are clean, well kept and provide every amenity. During one trip for my birthday I found balloons and a card from the staff waiting for me in the cabin. They provide a property book with all of the information you would ever want to know about your particular house, and the surrounding area. read more

Stayed at Windsor House located in the Paradise Ridge community. We were very pleased with the house and a big plus was lake access which was close and convenient. We were able to kayak and conveniently leave the kayaks in the access area so we didn't have to load them every time we returned to the house. We had several communications with the rental staff before and during our trip. Amanda was great every time we spoke to her and extremely helpful. Another staff member was not so friendly. She had no answers to questions and seemed to just blow you off when you inquired about something. One of the issues was our key code to the house was canceled out several hours before check out. We noticed this while loading our vehicles to leave. Luckily we had left one of the sliding glass doors unlocked on the deck. When we called to address the issue this certain staff member was rushed and didn't want to discuss the issue at hand. However she did provide a temporary code so we could utilize the door. My husband and I just spent 4 days in Deep Creek Lake. Our rental house, managed by Taylor-Made Deep Creek Vacations, was perfect! The staff was knowledgeable, very friendly and welcoming to their town. They picked the perfect house for us, Canadian Day. The home was well-appointed, very comfortable and impeccably maintained. We especially enjoyed the hot tub, fireplaces and pool table. Not to mention, while we were in town, it was a winter wonderland. We're already looking forward to our next vacation to Deep Creek. We will definitely stay with Taylor-Made in the future & highly recommend them! read more

they are crooks, they will not place cleaners between stays. i stayed for an extended stay and they took $200 dollars out of my deposit after i cleaned the place for several hours before I left. It took them almost a month to make a claim that i left the place a mess, in fact for three weeks they committed to giving me my full deposit back. read more

A group of six of us went to Deep Creek for a weekend geteaway (mini couples retreat). We had a blast. The house was immaculate. It was even better than what the pictures showed. It was nicely tucked away in the woods! The hot tub was perfect! the fire pit out back was marvalous! We were like big kids making smores! We are already looking into our next getaway! We discussed doing it every year as an annual thing but I don't think we can wait that long to go again! read more

Our friend was celebrating her 60th birthday so we decided to get her fly fishing lessons at a weekend in Deep Creek with her pets. As always, Taylor-Made has so many homes to choose from at flexible dates. The house we stayed in 120 Rock Lodge) was quaint, rustic, very clean, and it appeared as it was described. Although it is located across from the lake separate by the main road, there was still lake access on the side. There was enough lake view to see - the back porch opened up into a beautiful view of the lake, the moon, and some houses below. The hot tub was also well-maintained. There are only two things I'd like to comment on: (1) During bedtime, when you have the windows open, you can hear the cars on the road from the back room and parties from the front room (house is across from the clubhouse)...if you have the windows closed and it is as silent as can be; (2) there was only 1 trash can in the designated 2-trash bin location (there were two bin sections) and it was shared with another house. The sole trash can was full so we could not throw our trash. Customer service was excellent - I did not get trip insurance because like everybody, I thought nothing would go wrong. However, our birthday celebrant found out a few days after we paid for a 3-night, 4-day stay that she needed to have unplanned gallbladder surgery on the last day. I had to email customer service and scan her doctor's note and I got a call later on refunding us for the last night. That alone shows how committed the company is in allowing their guests to have a really good time on their vacations. I highly recommend Taylor-Made vacations! read more

Went up for a weekend with some friends in January and were treated with a good house that had a good location in proximity to the mountain. The only issue was the hot water heater didn't work. We turned on the heater Friday night, gave it some time and tried again Saturday morning, ice cold. Flipped the breaker and gave it some time again until we got back from the slopes around 2pm, still ice cold. Gave the maintenance a call and they had someone come out and 'fix' the issue, which was apparently replacing the heating element, still didn't work. Woke up Sunday with maintenance already there attempting to correct the problem but stated it wasn't looking good, so we left without bothering to call the main office again as there was no point. Called Monday to get some money back, got less than 15% back from what we paid because the office claimed they fixed the issue which was far from the truth. Good house, shitty customer service. read more

Stay Away from them!! Very very unprofessional! They called us after our stay and described how we did not put towels back where they should be since that is in the contract! Their hot tub was not working and they offered us credit before the stay but then ended up charging us anyways since the kids got in there since it was open and they had someone spying over our stay. They called us back to basically get their hot tub refund back and claimed that we damaged a table, MOVED CHAIRS (YES, you are not supposed to move their furniture) and that we broke their pool table stick (which was broken when we arrived)...These are NOT THE SIGNS OF A PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS and we had a very very bitter experience and it left a sour taste in our mouth at the end of our stay. Their broken lights and tools to fix property and christmas lights were all left in kitchen and closets and then they talk about how they expect the property to be left!! They have broken silly tripod sitting in the living room, all kinds of broken tv stands laying in property as if it is someone's private home. IF you are RENTING home, PLEASE expect some normal wear and tear and YES, your cleaning crew DOES need to clean the property for next stay!! STAY AWAY!!! read more

We recently stayed in The Buried Treasure House. Most of the reviews are right, its a gorgeous house in a beautiful area. It is coated in dust and cob webs and the Hot tub can't hold temperature. This is my second year in this house and will most certainly be the last (Since the first year had problems as well). One of the glasses from the kitchen was found broken in the Hot Tub from the previous renters. A friend of mine cut himself on his back after sitting on the glass and I had to get a piece removed from my foot. The next day I addressed Taylor Made and they came to "fix" the problem. They drained the tub and said they had swept in and around the tub which was impossible because the leaves where still in the same spot on the side of the tub ( I have pictures). The next evening while in the hot tub ANOTHER piece of glass was lodged into my foot while getting out. I picked up all the glass and took it to the Taylor Made office and they offered me 100 off the next stay and 100 back from this one. For the amount of money me and my family spent in the past 6 years with this company this is unacceptable. My well being is worth more than 200 dollars if I would of had a family weekend with children this could of been very bad if one of them would of gotten injured. The company refuses to take responsibility for the negligence of the maintenance crew and told me they have done what they could. Ill be sure to book with another company next time for all my personal and business related trips. read more
