I used Taylor made working dogs for board and train for 2 months. Upon picking up my GSD he had an injury. I was advised by the trainers there to give it 1 week and he would be fine. I ended up taking him to vet 2 days later to come to find out that his injury was pretty serious to he point that my GSD had to have an SX.FHO surgery. I had reached out to Taylor made working dogs and received replies back. I gave my full authorization for my dog's vet to speak with Kris himself provided all of my GSD X-RAYS, SURGICAL REPORT,COPIES OF VET BILLS, ETC. I was informed by the vet that all he did was harass my dog's vet. I was also advised by my vet that the trauma that my dog went through was due to blunt force trauma to the area. I asked kris Taylor, his wife for copies of their libality insurance to receive nothing from them. Come to find out I'm not sure how this business is even doing business as their FTB has been suspended (C3978091) *** Please be careful*** on who you intrust your pets with! NO I wouldn't reccomend this place at all to anyone. Take your money elsewhere and stay clear from this business.

First off, let me state that I'm beyond happy with the team here. Now for the details. We were recommended by our breeder up north in Tracy that Taylor Made was a reputable spot in Southern California if we were seriously interested in getting our working line German Shepherd trained for obedience, schutzhund, or protection. I've read countless books on dog training and best practices - however, it never seemed enough or optimal. He had quirks that we didn't know how to address and we also wanted to teach him some games to entertain his mind. We were thinking of protection or schutzhund as a sport too, but didn't have any resources to go to. Taylor Made's team (Ian, Stetson, Liz) have been the most communicative and helpful group I could have hoped for. They provided us a solid foundation and insight toward how we should train our puppy to best meet my needs and my family's. The group obedience class was an eye opener as it addressed issues that I didn't know I was causing by my own training methods. Our puppy's responsiveness to the training was quick as well and there is a noticeable difference after one class. We plan to continue the group obedience but also do private lessons moving forward too so we can learn more about the various sports and higher levels of obedience. I plan to post a follow up down the road - currently, I would definitely recommend this team for training your working line dogs, or any dog for that matter. I have nothing but good things to say about their training methods and how communicative they are as a team.

My fiancé and I recently purchased a puppy from Taylor Made Working Dogs and had a great experience! Mr. Taylor and the staff are extremely helpful and very informative. We originally chose to purchase our puppy from them because of their great communication and knowledge about dogs, but since we had such a great experience, we will be using them for training as well!

Was absolutely thrilled with my experience with them. Communication is usually very good and I have done training with them in the past. I adore my import puppy from them and the puppy and group classes were amazing. The dog world is a lot of drama and a lot of personal opinions. I have always wanted a TMWD puppy and while my boy might be an inport my future GSD will absolutely be from them. They care so much about their dogs and the litters they produce. They are very open about their dogs and litters. Tell them what you are looking for and ask questions and they will make sure you bring home the dog for your lifestyle. Thank you so much Kris and Liz.

If it wasn't for her and Kris as well, I probably wouldn't know much about working dogs or German shepherds.

We can't say enough good things about our experience with Halle at Heel House K9 Training…read more Our 3-year-old rescue basset hound, Hemingway, was having some issues with reactivity, separation anxiety, and had not been trained properly in e-collar training. We knew he needed more than just obedience training; he needed someone to rebuild his confidence and truly understand him. Halle was exactly that person. She worked with Hemingway for three weeks, and the transformation was amazing. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable, but she's also kind, patient, and clearly passionate about what she does. She didn't just train Hemingway--she trained us too, giving us the tools to keep reinforcing everything he learned. We got regular updates with photos and videos, and could see real progress throughout the process. By the time we picked him up, he was calmer, more focused, and his leash manners had improved dramatically. He no longer reacts to other dogs or people on walks, and his anxiety is so much more manageable. Most of all, he just seems happier--more confident and at ease. We've already recommended Halle to friends, and even our vet asked for her info after hearing about our experience. It's rare to find someone so skilled and compassionate. We're beyond grateful for what she's done for Hemingway--and for us.

By far and away, the best is Halle and Scott at Heel House K9 Training. Halle has trained 3 of our dogs and next week she will start training the newest dog in our family, Shiloh. Halle teaches them all of the basics (sit, down, go to bed, come, etc) but she was also incredible with our dog Norman who wasn't quite wired right and had some super high anxiety/aggression issues. Additionally, one of our dogs required some additional skills to support our daughter which Halle masterfully trained her dog Juno to do. Halle and Scott also provide boarding and group hikes with owners and their dogs for socialization. Bonus, they are two of the nicest people I know and their team is awesome! You will not be sorry sending your dog to Heel House! They are the best!

Five stars isn't enough! Not only is Justin a proven expert trainer, the amount of compassion and…read morecommitment he has shown is unreal and truly heartwarming. He says his passion is helping people and their dogs, and I have no doubt about that. A month after separating from my partner and moving out to my own place, my leash aggressive, two year-old cane corso, Zeke, lunged at another dog in my apartment complex and took me with him. Fortunately, aside from a few cuts and bruises I sustained, everyone was OK. But the anxiety and emotional trauma that was left behind made me avoid taking Zeke out for walks all together and when I did my hands would start shaking. Thinking that I would be able to do it in my own, I watched hours and hours of dog training videos and even tried using an E collar, none of it helped. Not only were things stressful outside of the house, but inside of it too. My 14 year-old cocker spaniel and poodle mix, Lexi, is very reactive towards Zeke. Because her senses are not what they used to be. She has even mistaken me for Zeke and has snapped at me. The thought of me potentially losing my apartment, having to give up Zeke, and the fear that Lexi may accidentally bite one of my children caused even more stress on top of what I was already going through from the separation, so I knew I needed to get professional help. After just one phone call with Justin I already felt a weight lifted from my shoulders. We have only been working together for two weeks and have already seen improvement, not only with Zeke's responsiveness to corrections while on walks but with my confidence in leading my pups to a calm and happy life. Justin really set me up for success by giving me tools, demo videos, and tips - making me confident in my ability to correct Zeke's leash reactivity. Walks with Zeke are so much more calm for us both! So grateful for what Justin does and how he does it. He is so responsive and genuine, really making us a team with the same goals! Can't recommend him enough! THANK YOU, Justin!

We went with the board + train option and are so glad we did! We received multiple updates a day with pictures, videos, and progress updates letting us know what training and commands were being worked on that day. We also had some diarrhea issues with our pup recently and Lauren was nice enough to try different foods with our girl to see what worked with her stomach and what didnt (something we were too scared to do lol), and once we were back home, Lauren came and dropped our pup off at our house so she could do an in-home training session with us to go over all of the training she got, which was such an awesome bonus. We've kept going with her training and are happy to report that shes doing SO well and learned so many valuable things during her stay, and our girl loved Lauren so much. We could tell our pup was very well taken care of which is very important to us! I would highly recommend this company for any and all training or boarding needs. Thanks again, Lauren!!
