I had been in contact with Professional Movers as soon as I knew I was moving, and they were somehow able to magically accommodate my schedule change. Each and every team member, from the email inquiries to phone calls to project manager to movers, treated me with the utmost respect, and a cool-and-collected sense of urgency. Moving Day was of course laden with torrential rain from dawn 'til dusk, but that didn't hinder the team of movers in the least. My old home (as in, "built in the 1920's") was somewhat of a logistical nightmare due to outdated ergonomics, tight turns and treacherously steep stairwells, but the team came in undaunted and figured out the move, item by item. They had every right to be frustrated/peeved by the totality of the situation, but nobody displayed anything but positivity, confidence and "get-sh*t-doneness." The crew was super fast and efficient, and nothing but friendly and conversational the entire time. They took great care to protect my home and belongings from bumps, dings, foot traffic and elements. The day was long and exhausting for everybody involved, but the team remained pros throughout and made sure everything was placed exactly where I wanted it in my new home. I'm so happy that my stuff got moved, but even happier by the level of service provided by the entire Professional Movers staff. Moving is always stressful. We did originally have a queen bed and mattress that was supposed to be moved, but we did not need that so we took care of that ourselves. My husband and I moved the rest. We set up everything in one area for them to pick up and move easily. Honestly, my husband suggested we cancel the move because we could've done it ourselves. I refused, as the price was reasonable at the time. However, that good price turned into $200 more than quoted for the time and amount of things we had. The company quoted 2 movers not 3 that they sent. My mom is 83 years old and on a fixed income. I'm deeply disappointed in this company and won't recommend them to anyone. My mom has five other friends moving from her senior living facility. I initially referred them because they were so kind and gracious to my mom the day before she was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. My husband had to take the day off (which he didn't need to since they were two hours late) because I was at the hospital with my mother. I honestly wasn't sure if we would move her at all. I informed my mom's new residence about the incident and suggested they remove the pamphlet from the folders they distribute to new residents. This is simply unacceptable. Tommy and Jaxon did an…read moreexcellent job moving my mother in law from her 3 bedroom ranch in Shelby Township to the lower level of our condo in Brighton. Despite the 95 degree heat these guys showed up on time. They walked the job first to see what they had to move which in our case was about 40 boxes and bags and about 15 pieces of furniture. They then proceeded to put down runners and shrink wrap the furniture items followed by picking up the heavy boxes and loading their truck. The total job only took them a total of 5.75 hours which included the 2.5 hour round trip drive. The final price was very reasonable since they charge by the hour. Again, this was in exhausting unbearable heat. They even moved a recliner from our first floor to the lower level at our request. These young guys were congenial and very helpful. We would definitely use them again if necessary. They are top notch. We highly recommend them if you have a move in your future.

During the move, one of the bottom cushions from our couch went missing. Because this is a bottom seat cushion, the couch cannot be fully used without it. The company has stated that the cushion is here, but it is not. We have searched thoroughly and still have no cushion and no resolution. Our dining room table was also damaged during the move. It appears to have been overtightened during reassembly, resulting in a crack. We reported the damage, but the company maintains that the defect was already present. We disagree. We were told that a woodworker would come out to inspect the table, but we are still waiting to hear from someone to arrange that. Additionally, the movers were unable to fit all of our belongings in the moving truck and had to use one of their personal vehicles to transport some of our items, which was concerning and not what we expected from a professional moving service. Mistakes can happen during a move, and we understand that. What is most frustrating is the lack of resolution afterward. We are now left with a damaged dining table and a couch we cannot fully use because an essential cushion is missing, while being told that the table damage was pre-existing and that the missing cushion is somehow here. We would simply like the company to take responsibility for resolving these issues: locate or replace the missing couch cushion and follow through on having the table damage professionally evaluated and addressed. At this point, we are still waiting for both.

I left a message. At 10:15 I called again leaving a message. No one called back and no one showed. This is not the way to run a business. I will never recommend this company or contract them again.
