But all the staff were pleasant so that's always a plus. Overall, definitely a wonderful addition to the Redford community.

The primary issue involved a male staff member, Tyriek. After a hostile interaction with him, I made it clear that I preferred to communicate through his coworker, Christine, who was professional, respectful, and fully capable of answering any questions we had. Rather than respecting that request, Tyriek continued to approach me and repeatedly took issue with the fact that I chose not to communicate directly with him. I repeatedly explained that our communication was not effective or productive and that Christine was successfully handling all communication. Despite this, Tyriek stated that because I would not speak with him, he would be contacting the Director. When Theresa, the Director of Leisure Services, arrived, she immediately instructed me to step aside and speak with her privately. Rather than asking what had occurred or attempting to understand both sides of the situation, she immediately informed me that I was required to interact with Tyriek and be respectful to him. I explained that after feeling repeatedly disrespected and spoken to in a demeaning manner, I preferred not to communicate with him and would instead continue working through Christine. Theresa then threatened to cancel my daughter's event if I did not "listen to him." I specifically asked what rules we were violating. Neither Theresa nor Tyriek could identify any actual rule that had been broken. Instead, Theresa referenced things that could potentially happen. For example, she mentioned the possibility of music being too loud, despite the fact that we had not previously been asked to lower it. Once she did make that request, we complied immediately. She also stated that guests could not enter through the garage doors, while simultaneously acknowledging that guests were being redirected to the front entrance exactly as we had been instructed. At no point was I provided with a clear example of a rule that had actually been violated. Despite this, the situation continued to be escalated unnecessarily. I was also troubled when two additional staff members were assigned to monitor our event. Given that no rules had been broken, no disturbances occurred, and our guests were cooperative throughout the evening, this level of scrutiny felt unnecessary and made our family and guests feel unwelcome. After the event, we left the facility spotless. When I later called regarding the status of my deposit, Sam informed me that it would be returned by mail and that we would not be permitted to rent the facility again due to the "commotion." Considering that the issues stemmed from staff escalating a situation that could have easily been resolved by allowing communication to continue through another staff member, I found that explanation disappointing. I would like to acknowledge Christine, who remained professional, courteous, and helpful throughout the entire process. Fortunately, we will be receiving our full deposit back, which confirms that the facility was left in excellent condition and that no damage or misconduct occurred during our event. While I was informed that we would not be allowed to rent the facility again, I can honestly say that after this experience, I have no intention of doing so. What should have been a memorable celebration for my daughter became stressful and unpleasant due to the conduct of certain staff members. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this facility.

Grip socks are required and are also available for purchase. All parties coming into the center must sign in (waiver) before entering. He was very helpful at the end of the party to assist with providing a cart to get the gifts, leftover food and cupcakes to our vehicle. When I was a kid, I did gymnastics here. It was my entire childhood. Everyone I knew, I knew them from MEGA fun and fitness. I saw my coaches more than my parents. Every single day I was at the gym (5 days a week by the way), I was only put down and scolded, with the excuse that it would make me better, stronger. But I knew I could never be good enough, or strong enough. I could always do more, but it would never be praise-worthy. After far too many years of this, I quit. It was the best decision I ever made. But the experience still affects me. I'm an adult now, but I still have dreams about Coach ***, and I wake up sweating every time. But maybe the blame can't be placed on someone who is unaware of the trauma she is creating for young girls like me. I wish I could go back and undo it all. Or tell my parents to not let me do it.
