We used Taylor Rental for our daughter's engagement party. The communications were prompt and everyone was friendly and easy to work with. Setting up the tent was fast and efficient. We set up the tables and chairs, linens, and utentils the way we wanted to. And we rented the margarita machine. It worked out great! We had it under a canopy out of the sun and did not use an extension cord so it was very slushy as it's supposed to be. People added their own tequila to their cups as desired. I've been renting from them a few years now for our backyard parties. They always deliver and set up the bounce house. I've gotten the popcorn machine but the new thing is a slushy machine! Popcorn was great last year but the slushy machine was a fan favorite by both adults and children!!! The company also picks up the rentals as well. Great customer service. They're awesome over the phone with any troubleshooting with using equipment and are willing to come out if need be. Everyone at Taylor Rental is professional, knowledgeable and helpful. I've been using this location of Taylor for years and they've never disappointed. I used to have an annual backyard party and they'd set up a tent and deliver tables and chairs. Tent was always highest quality and rugged. This year for Thanksgiving I rented 3 large banquet tables, table clothes and chairs. I picked up and brought back the next day. Prices are fair and they are incredibly efficient! I like doing business at places where employees actually know what they're doing and that's what you get here. Everyone knows their job, knows how to do what they have to and you're in and out quickly. Like really quick! 1 minute inside and maybe 5 (at most) around back to both pick up and drop off. The guys (and gal!) are super friendly and come right over to you whether you're loading or unloading. I couldn't think of anything they could have done better except maybe give me coffee when I arrive :). PS - 1st time we rented table clothes and we went with the inexpensive polyester and they looked great! No more using paper or making our own. Kudos to the entire Taylor Team! read more

My sister is a Hartford caterer who, for 35 years, has used Taylor rental for all of her events. They have always, without exception, been totally accommodating and gone above and beyond. When my dear friend passed away this past week, we wanted to pull together a reception following the service for Saturday. Between graduations and weddings, every rental company was swamped. Taylor, rental in Manchester was no exception. They were as busy as they could be filling orders and delivering. At my sister's request, John went out of his way, above, and beyond to provide us with everything we needed for a Saturday reception. They went so out of their way to help us at the last minute. STAY as far away from Taylor Rental as possible! We rented a popcorn machine for our business grand opening. About 5 minutes into running the machine, it started tripping breakers on every circuit that we tried it on and we could not use it al all. I completely understand that this sort of this can happen, but when we returned the unit, the people behind the counter treated my wife like she was lying to get out of paying for the rental. Feeling embarrassed, my wife left the store while they were testing the unit to "Prove that is was good". I called Taylor Rental a few days later, and the workers told me that it had to be my electrical circuit (which is nonsense as this is a new commercial kitchen) because they were able to pop multiple batches on this unit without issue and that they would not be refunding me my rental fee. We used Taylor for multiple large item equipment for an event, and were told they would pick the items up in the morning. They are still sitting outside at 2:30 PM, where there is also a public park. The people at the office do not seem to care that teenagers at the park are using the equipment and kids are hanging all over it, and stated to me they do not know about liability because that's "not their area". They were able to effectively deliver and set up our tent and other items, and were quick in recieving the items after our beautiful event. I had to cancel my wedding reception the Monday before it, due to Covid. It was a Friday wedding. They gave me back $85 of the over $1000 I paid for their rentals, citing the short notice. Yes, that is understandable in most cases, but how could we have given them any longer notice when we were unaware that we had Covid until that day? Not fair. I am already devastated to see my dream wedding go down the drain, and now I am having to lose all that money? All of our other vendors gave us back all of our money except for our deposits, and we notified them all on the same day we notified Taylor Rental. I do not recommend this company at all. Rented a 20'x20' tent, tent walls, 6 tables, and 40 chairs for a backyard party. For the price I paid, I was expecting equipment in pristine condition. The tent walls were torn and dirty. Chairs needed to be wiped down, etc. If I was present for the setup, I would've addressed these things, but did not see the tent until the day before the party. With that said, the employees installing the tent listened extremely well to my instructions on where to put the tent. The tent was taken down a day after it was scheduled to be taken down, which was an inconvenience. Overall, I was just underwhelmed. My family has used Taylor Rental for years, so I'm hoping this time was just a fluke. read more

We rented a karaoke machine for a family party over the 4th of July weekend. I spoke with Jeff initially, who was very helpful. I went and collected the machine at the appointed time and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately, the machine did not work as expected, cutting out on the best rock songs! I called and talked to John (owner), who came to my home within 45 minutes. He tried a few things to fix the machine and even made a few phone calls to solicit help. Sadly, no machines were available, and it could not be fixed. John did not charge us for the rental and let us keep the machine for the weekend, just in case we wanted to try some ballads. I never write reviews, but Taylor Rental's customer service was outstanding. I will definitely be calling them next year when I host our next party! read more

Been using these guys for 15 years and they are awesome. We have used them for chairs, tables, table cloths, silverware, glassware, serving trays, napkins and cotton candy machines for outdoor back yard parties. They deliver and they pick up. We have rented their pressure washers to clean our vinyl siding on a yearly basis. They are able recall our previous orders which makes setting up a new order quick and easy. If zero stars was an option, that would be my selection. Upon delivery, you could tell the dunk tank was worn, caulking that leaked throughout the day. The delivery guy was prompt, and said our chosen location was perfect. He completed setup and said everything was good to go. Shortly after, we had the tank filled and began our fundraising event- which we had planned for months. We tested the tank to realize it DIDN'T WORK! In a panic, we used some bungee cords to position everything. It had been setup on a slight incline so the mechanisms didn't line up however the delivery man assured us it was the correct location. If we were to stop and wait 1+ hours for a repair, our event would have been ruined. Furthermore, when setting up the cotton candy machine, carpenter ants were coming out of it- EWW! After the event we contacted the customer service via email and never heard back. I called them to follow-up, they admitted they received my email but hadn't bothered to contact us. The manager said they would call back that day, but again no return call. Our center plans many events throughout the year, and this level of customer service and quality of product is truly disappointing, we will not use them again. read more
