Since the installed replacement cost have more than doubled for just a single stage 15 seer system…read moreand 3-4 times higher for an 18+ seer variable speed condenser and air handler system, I began researching different systems and vendors. During this time, I learned that not everyone likes a do-it-yourself like me. Some even said I wanted, "free work." Not true! However, the current installed prices spoke to me. I grabbed my tools! Pulling a local permit as a home owner/builder in Florida, I installed a 2 ton (24k) ACIQ-24-HP32 condenser and ACIQ-24-AH32 air handler, and related mechanical. This system replaced a 26 year old 1.5 ton (18K) Trane XE-1000 condenser and TWGO18A air handler that was showing its age -- like me. One of my main hardware vendors, HVAC direct, patiently worked with me as I learned the new system requirements. With help from Isaiah Luke Appliance Repair to do the final commissioning of the system, the new ACIQ inverter system passed local inspection! The new system is a noticeably quieter and produces considerable heat split by comparison with the previous system. The fact that the ACIQ has a higher BTU rating, (24K) a higher seer rating (18), and yet uses smaller breakers, 30A down to 25A on the outside unit and 30 down to 15 amps for the inside unit and doesn't dim my lights when it runs, says it all. Thanks again to: Isaiah Luke Appliance Repairs!

We had two units, modification of ducts, and return runs put in our older home By Air America (High Springs, FL). The team was efficient, professional, did a great job and completed the work in a timely manner. I believe in supporting local business and also believe that they have a vested interest to meet your expectations. In this case they surpassed my expectations.

My A/C was WORKING two days before I called Brandon but it was leaking water around the seal in the line inside my house so I had to cut the air off. Brandon came to my house within 1 hr. of me calling the office. You cannot beat that for good, fast service!! Brandon was very nice, easy to talk to and had a professional mannerism. He was very informative. The results of Brandon's diagnosis was the line outside was clogged with debris and my thermostat was bad. Plus he saw three other issues that he felt would not last much longer and advised me to let him order those three parts. So I did agree. And I even asked him about a service plan to have my A/C serviced twice a year by them. 8/17/2026, 7:30 a.m. Brandon returned with new thermostat. Temp in house was 87 degrees and set for 74 degrees when he left. 15 hrs. later the temp in my house was 84 degrees with ceiling fans on. At midnight temp was 80 degrees in my house with ceiling fans going. I had thermostat set for 74 degrees but it never did reach 74 degrees all day or up til 2:00 a.m. the next day *.18.2026. We are on the third day of my problems not solved. I am not too sure how long this new thermostat is going to work. There is no air coming out of 11 vents in my home, only 2 vents had slightly cool air, there is no cold air coming out of the only two vents that seem to be working. I don't know why the vents are not working as they have always worked with this same A/C. Brandon knew the air was not coming through those vents. My problem was not solved completely since my home did not reach 74 degrees 16 1/2 hours later and the air coming out was not cold air, just slightly cool air and 11 vents had no air. Brandon knew I only had air coming out two vents. I feel that he should have checked the vents to find out why the air was not coming in. I am not a happy camper! I need to pay for what I received which was a diagnosis, vacuumed line and seal it around inside line, I do not think I should pay for a thermostat that 17 hours later it still has not reached the 74 degrees I set it for. Something is wrong with that. I will gladly pay for what was done right. However, that thermostat needs to be replaced or the motor needs to be checked because it should keep running until the right temperature is reached or so I would think. I am not a A/C worker, so I do not know. When I tried to call them to tell them about the thermostat the phone rung and I was cut off. I heard the sound of it being picked up and then hung up. I guess they have caller ID. I tried to call the office later and it said all lines were busy call back later. I tried to call Brandon later and no answer. I am not sure what happened to 24/7. Brandon wanted me to do a review to help him even before he had the thermostat installed. I did write a good review but I could not get the review to go through. I tried three times. Now I am glad it did not go through. As I still have problems. I will be surprised if this one reaches its destination! I hope only this one is received as now I know the problem was not completely resolved. I feel that Brandon should have checked the other 11 vents to find out what was going on that no air was coming out of them. I do not like to give bad reviews. I like Brandon. He seemed like a very nice business person and professional. I am doubting that this is the company I need to go with. Brandon said I need three other parts for my A/C but now I am questioning that. I think I need to pay for the work that was actually done and the service fee for coming to my house and then I need to move on. If the thermostat does not reach the 74 degrees it was set on, then I will not feel that the thermostat is something I need to pay for if it is not doing what it is set to do. I had hoped I would love this company and I proved that by letting Brandon order the three parts he says I need before the ones I have go bad and by taking out a service plan to have my A/C checked twice a year with them, however, my plans are to move on so I do not need the parts nor the service plan since my intentions are to not stay with this company. At this point I will not recommend my family nor friends to go with this company,-but I do no want to let my bad experience influence your choices. You have to go with what your gut tells you to do. That is what I done, I was wrong! !!! I hate that. I really wanted to have a good experience with this company. In the reviews I saw good things were said about Brandon and his work and that is why I chose this company. If you go with this company I hope they never hang up on you. And I hope the work they do will be completed.

I want to preface this review by stating that I was satisfied with the employees who provided the…read moreinitial estimate and performed the repair. However, my complaints with Bounds Heating & Air stem from their business practices, lack of pricing transparency, and poor communication. Earlier this week, just days after my wife and I welcomed our first child, our AC stopped blowing cold air. While the unit was cooling, the blower motor had failed. Since Bounds had installed the system when the home was built in 2013 (their sticker was still on the unit), I assumed they would be well-suited for the repair. I called on Tuesday, and they sent a technician who diagnosed the issue and quoted me $1,420, plus a $90 diagnostic fee, bringing the total to $1,510. While I had seen similar repairs estimated between $800-$1,800, I needed the repair done quickly and didn't have time to shop around, especially with a newborn in the house. Scheduling Issues The technician was scheduled to arrive between 3-5 PM the next day, as we had a doctor's appointment earlier that afternoon. However, I received a text just before 2 PM stating the tech was on the way--meaning no one would be home. When I called the office, they claimed the appointment had been scheduled for 1 PM and that the tech was actually running late. I still had the original voicemail confirming 3-5 PM, but despite the miscommunication, they did send another tech later in the day. The technician arrived around 4 PM and completed the repair in 40 minutes, which I appreciated. However, after researching later that night, I found the blower motor itself typically costs around $500 at retail, and likely less for a contractor. Lack of Pricing Transparency The next morning, I received an invoice--but it was not itemized. There was no breakdown of parts or labor, no part numbers, no taxes, and no indication of whether the parts used were OEM, aftermarket, or remanufactured. I had never seen an invoice so lacking in detail. When I called to request an itemized invoice, I was told that Bounds does not provide itemized invoices and that it was "not standard practice." After pressing the issue, I was eventually contacted by a manager named John, who explained that Bounds uses a third-party national company to determine pricing and that they would not disclose the cost of parts or labor. I expressed that while I understood a markup was involved (as is common in many industries), a business should still be able to break down what the customer is actually paying for. If the motor cost around $500, that would mean I was charged $920/hour for labor, assuming a one-hour minimum. When I pointed this out, John refused to provide any further breakdown and made it clear the owner would not either. Essentially, the response was: "We're not going to tell you what we paid for anything. Tough luck." Final Thoughts I have never encountered a company so unwilling to provide basic pricing transparency, and I will never use Bounds Heating & Air again. I strongly advise others to seek out a business that values clear, upfront pricing and better communication with their customers.

I am not going to lie. I am actually very surprised to see a lot of negative reviews on this…read morecompany bc they have a lot of great reviews on Google. I contacted this company a year ago when my a/c unit died. I saw the LibertyAir sticker and decided to call bc they installed it with the previous owners. It was so hot in my apartment and they were able to assess. I ended up going with them to place a completely new HVAC system cost me 12K. It had an air scrubber that I was not forced but encouraged to get. I was never forced into anything. In fact, the tech that came in asked me questions bc he didn't want me to spend a lot of money on the a/c unit, which I appreciated. I ended up getting the a/c with all the bells and whistles. I was referred to their home loan program that lets you do 18 months with % interest, and that has been a life saver. So, I was actually really disappointed that within a year I had to contact them bc it was leaking and had a clog. They were able to come at night and unclog the pipe. I signed up for their every 6 month check/tune-up. So another couple hundred dollars there... I like the company a lot as they are responsive. I just wish that the tech that came didn't leave a mess on my carpet, but overall good experiences!
