We bought a boat from Taylor's boats in September. We have had endless issues since. To begin my husband drove from AZ to UT to purchase. When he got home we realized the sun shade that was in the photos sent to us, was not with the boat. Party our mistake for not checking before driving back to AZ but still. It took over 3 weeks to get in contact with them, calling every day. I was given the run around that someone would call me back and never did. Finally I talked to someone who explained what happened and gave us store credit. Weeks pass and we never received the title and registration in the mail. Again we called many times with no answer or the empty promise that someone would call back. We finally got ahold of Taylor who issued another temp tag and ensured they would get it worked out and call with an update, shocker that never happened. I got in contact with him again after not receiving it for another month and he said they would send it to the AZ store and we'd have title and registration in hand asap, and he'd send another temp tag. It's now been almost a month since that call, we do not have the registration or title and we never received another temp permit. This has been the BIGGEST headache. We love the boat but now can not use it because we don't have registration. They need to figure out their customer service. I would not recommend this company, at least the Draper store, to anyone. read more

I took my boat to Taylor's boats for my annual service. Patrick my service advisor did a great job communicating with me about the service. He was also able to warranty the SeaDeck on the platform that was damaged during the original delivery a few years back. My truck developed a boost leak a few days before the boat was ready. I haven't had time to fix my truck yet. Patrick let me keep the boat there until the warranty work was done and then another week. Then Philip at Taylor's was able to tow my boat to my house. Wow! We found a boat here we really liked. We wanted something upgraded so I asked for them to install it with a purchase since they have a service department there. They said it was a great idea and would check and call me back. That's where the ghosting begins. I have since called 3 times and cannot connect with the person I spoke to and haven't gotten a call back. If you can't do the work, just say so. No problem. But your company is clearly interested in making the easiest buck with as little effort from you as possible, so I will not even consider working with you in the future. read more

To say I've had a poor experience with Taylor's Boats in Draper and my 2019 Cobalt R30 is an understatement. I dropped off my boat July 11th for a number of repairs, but mainly to fix the Stereo. 8 months later it's still not fixed, here's some of the issues this caused: Canceled August houseboat trip to Lake Powell and reschedule for September, but on my drive to Taylor's boats to pick it up they called and said it wasn't fix. Paid $8k for non warranty repairs over the phone when it was supposedly ready to be called a few minutes later that the stereo wasn't fixed (again). I've made two 700 mile round trips (live in Colorado) each time I was told it was ready and then they called at the last minute saying it wasn't fixed. They took my boat to their St. George location for their expert to fix in November, still couldn't fix but an additional 600 miles on the boat trailer. Boat has been kept in heated/cooled garage since new, but now it's been outside for 8 months. Batteries haven't been charged, and Boat will need detailed Talked with Dwight at Cobalt corporate in late December, but have yet to hear back. To be fair the service department at Taylor's Boats seems like they are really trying, but at this point I'm hoping a review will help get the proper attention. I'd appreciate this issue being fixed, being compensated for my expenses and additional wear & tear within 10 business days. If not I'll assume legal action is needed to get someones attention. read more

I needed two Hoses replaced in my Malibu boat and Taylor's kept my boat nearly two months during the summer months to fix it while I payed my $200/months storage fee at another facility. Their communication with customers is abysmal. They would not return calls in a timely manner and were generally difficult to deal with. I will vote w my dollars and not use their services again . It has been a couple months since my purchase. I've waited to write a review bc with boats problems are going to come up and I wanted to see if McKay really meant he was going to take care of me. Thankfully I have had no issues with my new Axis, but I have had pro shop problems...warranty on a surf board, likes and dislikes on wakeboards and other small issues due to personal preference. I have been extremely satisfied with the service I have received. It has been a process to resolve these things but being in retail I completely understand the process. Spencer has done a great job! As for my salesman, McKay has been great getting back to me...answering my many questions and making sure I have been completely satisfied with any issues. I was so close in buying another brand, I am very grateful I did not. Not only do I love the boat, but my experience with the dealership has been great. read more

We showed up prepared to have them winterize our boat but they blatantly refused us service. Apparently our brand of boat is no longer acceptable to them and they sent us on our way without any regard to our loyalty to them. I would give this business zero stars if I could! We came from out of town to see and buy a boat last month. My husband was in contact with the manager "Carson" who seemed eager to make a deal with us. Once we arrived we told Carson we would be there by noon. We arrived at 12:10 and was told Carson had stepped out. No big deal as we thought he would be back by the time we looked at the boat. The girl in the parts dept took the cover partially off the boat so we could get in. The Malibu was filthy (didn't bother to clean it), the rudder had rust, a screw was laying on the floor, and when we removed the rest of the cover we discovered the hull had scratches where it had been beached. We were told this boat was in immaculate condition. After waiting an hour I finally went back in and asked when Carson would return. She then said he would be back in 2-3hrs and he was busy getting ready for the boat show. We left and Carson called and we offered him $105k (it was listed for $130k) due to the condition. He said he would get back with us. 3 days go by and no return call or text back from Carson. I had to call from a different phone just to get him to answer. He then said he couldn't do it for that number and that he was sorry for not returning calls/texts due to being busy for the boat show. 4 hours later we decided to go to the boat show to see him in person and up our offer. After walking throughout the show and not seeing a Malibu in sight we asked a worker where the Malibu's were set up. We were informed that they weren't at the boat show this year! So basically we had been lied to all week by Carson the manager! This is the type of person they have running a business?? What a joke! We ended up buying an MB for 150k at the boat show and The Boat Shack was extremely professional. Carson you fumbled the bag! read more

We had an appointment to have our Malibu boat repaired on July 13. I told them what repairs needed to be troubleshooted. I called back and we were told that the tech that you assigned the repair to could not figure out the problem. Then you assigned the boat to another tech and he did not fix the problem or troubleshoot the problem properly. All the wiring was out below the breaker switches which was a mess and all they needed to do was to figure out why the throttle control sensor was not working or the safety switch. I was told that they did not have time to work on my boat because they had too many boats in the back yard to repair. Tyler said that I would have to do without the boat this summer and bring it back during the winter months so that he could spend time on it. That is exactly what he told me. It is a shame that you do not have qualified techs to trouble shoot a problem like this and turn the customer away because they were not trained properly. It is a shame that my brother-in-law who is 70 years old said he would look at it and he figured it out in one day. It was the throttle control sensor. He talked to your parts guy, texted him a picture. The parts guy asked, "Where does this go? Oh we do not have it in our inventory. I do not know what to tell you." So my brother-in-law went on line and looked at the pictures and found one back east. He had it shipped and installed it within three days. It actually worked like it was supposed to. I am very disappointed with the customer service and response that I got from your people. Maybe you better send them back to head start or training school to teach them manners and how to trouble shoot. We will be contacting the main headquarters of Malibu boats and complain to them about your lack of service to the customers up in this area. I've been patient and understanding with them but will not go back. When buying a boat consider who you would deal with long term. We just picked up our new Malibu boat and got the First Class treatment from Taylor's Boats. Carson, the sales guy dealt with us "looking" for a couple of years and was so patient and understanding the whole time. He was always there to answer any questions and that guy knows his stuff when it comes to boats. When we finally pulled the trigger he helped us with every detail and got us a great price too. Christian walked us through our boat today from front to back and made sure we had no other questions before we left. He is also very knowledgeable about everything boats. Their customer service is top notch at Taylor's boats and we highly recommend anyone to purchase a boat from them. I'm not happy with Taylor's Boats at all. I purchased an Axis A24 in June and when I purchased it I noticed that the soft grip had bubbles in it. I told them I would be willing to purchase the boat if they would replace the soft grip. They said yes and I purchased the boat and the soft grip is still not fixed and they're giving me a hard time about getting it fixed. Also, when I picked up the boat the cover was ripped. We took pictures of it and they said they would replace the cover and 5 months later it is still not replace. They said it takes a long time to order a cover. 5 months is crazy. I have called 4 different times to talk to an owner and all I get is that they're in a meeting and will call me back. I have never received a call back. This company needs to figure out how to deliver on their promises. NOT HAPPY!!! read more

My husband and I decided to visit Taylor's Boats one afternoon in November just to look around and learn more about Axis boats. We were not planning on purchasing a boat that day, we just wanted to see if we liked the Axis boats as much in person as we did through photos. We were greeted right away when we walked in, and although the initial salesman we spoke with dealt with used boats, he talked with us and answered our questions while we waited for Cody, our new boat salesman. Cody was super informative, knew everything about the boat and changes in model years, and really seemed to have our best interest in mind rather than trying to talk us into the most expensive boat on the showroom floor. With the awesome sales manager, Dan's, help, we were able to get such a great deal on our dream boat that we ended up purchasing that day. This was our first boat purchase, and we really didn't know what to expect. The entire process was like a simple, relaxed conversation. We talked about the boats for a bit, then snow skiing, our background, etc. We never felt like it was a sales pitch. Every single person we talked to during our visits were incredibly knowledgable and friendly. They really seemed to go above and beyond to take care of us and ensure we had a positive experience. This note is an addendum to a previous review above. Today is July 3rd. I received a text from the owner of Taylor Boats. He stated he had seen my review of the service department and my time and dealings and time spent with them. He asked that I would call regarding my concerns. I spent a good 10 minutes chatting with Taylor and I felt he was very concerned and somewhat embarresed about the service I received. He stated he had read my review to his service department and again expressed his concerns about my experiance. Taylor was gracious about offering to square up a few things with the boat. He stated they had been changing their dealership website on the internet and my email to him may have been lost during that change. I know and understand not every encounter with a customer can be a great one. I felt that Taylor was serious about using my earlier review as a teaching and learning lesson and just a reminder to his staff of how the customer feels. Customer service is always changing and unless there is a serious attempt to always improve and get better things fall through the cracks. Just bad costumer service. I have an older boat (2003) and asked them about a replacement part and they laughed at each other. They told me Malibu doesn't even make parts for those years anymore. Instead of at least trying, like I asked them to, they just told me it's not even worth looking it up. I just bought a 2000 cobalt from this dealership from a guy named Carson. Who of course took my money and made all kinds of promises saying he would fix items on my boat. "We paid for them to fix the factory depth finder and water temperature these were not free or even discounted."But when I went to pick it up they didn't fix the water temperature and then cut a hole in my boat to put a aftermarket depth finder that is mounted under the dash making it very hard to see and on top of that the aftermarket depth finder which was supposed to be the factory one was eight hundred dollars. it is a three hour drive for us and we got there at eleven o'clock which is when our appointment was supposed to be and then they didn't start to work on my boat until three o'clock. The boat was supposed to be finished that day and then they told me that it wouldn't be done so we had to take a three hour journey home without my boat and we were supposed to bring it home that day. This hole time I was being treated like it was all my fault that they wouldn't be able to finish that day because I didn't get there till eleven o'clock when I had an appointment that day so they should have been generous and started my boat right away. I am very disappointed that they didn't make it clear it was going to be an aftermarket depth finder. since we have gotten the depth finder fixed "with an aftermarket not factory one" our trim gauge is not working anymore even though it isn't working we will never take it to this company to get it fixed and I was more than willing to pay for it. I paid over eight hundred dollars for them to fix my factory water temperature and depth finder when all they did was fix the depth finder with a after market piece of junk. I felt they treated me worse because I only bought a used boat and not a new hundred thousand dollar boat and they say this isn't the case but I believe it is. they did loose a costumer that would have eventually bought a hundred thousand dollar boat as I work my way up. I do understand that this is a used boat and that it does need a few other things fixed and I am more than willing to pay for them but I will not get them fixed at Taylor's boats. other than the dealership I love my cobalt boat it was this dealership that made me feel like an idiot. I was really looking forward to doing further business with Taylor's boats but I can see they didn't want me as a customer. read more
