The restrooms were spotless. The store offers an amazing amount of supplies for truckers, campers and travelers. I saw everything from small refrigerators to a complete selection of electronic needs. I saw a typical assortment of convenience store roller food and fresh fruits and other grab and go meals. They carried beer, but I did not see locally crafted beer. There is a small McDonald's and Subways as part of the complex. They have showers for truckers. I can't talk to those, but the area looked clean. Outside, they have even built a fenced-in dog park. The park was small with benches for owners. I've never seen a service station with a dog park. The gas was priced average for the area. Parking and the pumps are easy to access. The traffic flow is pretty good. I'll keep stopping here.

I didn't take a shower, but I did use the restroom, and the cleanliness level of the restroom was just OK. Could have used a once-through. There are also two fast-food restaurants: McDonald's and Subway. I don't eat at either of these places, but do you know what I do eat? I eat banana pudding, and you can find some here in the grab-and-go refrigerated case inside the convenience store. It was OK (it ain't no Buc-ees banana pudding), but if you're in the mood for banana pudding, this one at Love's will do. You also find all kinds of things for your cars and trucks, cooking items, blankets, clothing, sandals, games, toys and lots of packaged snacks. Get some hot dogs (two for $5) in flavors like regular, smoked cheddar and jalapeño cheddar. Surprisingly, they offered cut fruit in an iced cooler by the cash register. Things like pineapple, grapes and watermelon in cups. I don't know why that surprises me, but I'm glad a gas station thinks it's important to highlight nutritious snacks.

I decided to book this Holiday Inn Express over other hotel options, given the high reviews I'd seen on the IHG app, Google, and other sites. I chose to pay more for this HIE over more affordable places (that also had good ratings), looking for a nicer experience. However, starting at check-in, the stay left more to be desired. We arrived after 1:30 am on a Thursday (as a mid-way point on a roadtrip), and the front desk service was not friendly. The receptionist did not acknowledge IHG membership, nor say anything about hotel amenities (e.g. what time or where breakfast is), or even make polite conversation. The receptionist asked for signature on a waiver form and asked for card payment, which was significantly higher than the rate I'd booked through the IHG app. He did not explain that this included a $50 refundable deposit, I had to ask him that myself; he only (rather rudely) commented on how me booking through the app (where I entered card details) was not actually paying. From there, we got to our assigned room, 302. I appreciated that my saved IHG preferences - for a high floor room away from elevators - were taken into account. We put down our things and checked the air conditioning, noticing the thermostat was set to 74. We tried adjusting it but were unable to, so we called the front desk (no answer - multiple tries). My SO then went back downstairs and was given keys to the room across the hall - after having to wait to be helped, as the employee was taking a smoke break. (Meanwhile, there was a sign at the desk saying they were away assisting another customer.) The room itself was spacious and clean (both 302 and 301, where we ultimately stayed). There is a mini-fridge and Keurig with 3 K-cups given ("Royal Cup" brand coffee). The bed and pillows were comfortable (both firm and soft pillows provided and labeled), and the blackout curtain did block most of the sunlight from the room in the morning. The shower was nice, but the tub didn't drain effectively (there was standing water in the tub throughout the shower), and the shampoo nozzle was broken. I like the Dove products provided in the shower, but with how the pump bottles are locked in, guests are out of luck if something doesn't work (so I couldn't fix/use the shampoo). The bathroom did not have a fan, either, which would have been helpful for ventilation and white noise. The hotel has complimentary parking and complimentary breakfast from 6-10 am every morning. Breakfast was standard Holiday Inn Express fare and tasted good - biscuits & gravy, veggie/egg white and egg/cheddar omelettes, turkey sausage, bacon, pancakes (made to order from a machine), cereal, yogurt, pastries (including gluten free muffins), the infamous Holiday Inn cinnamon rolls, etc. Coffee is available at all times, too. The breakfast and lobby area felt comfortable, clean, and open, with tall ceilings and lots of seating. All in all, I was disappointed by the hiccups in what I hoped to be a higher quality overnight stay - but given the cleanliness of the rooms and the convenient hotel location and amenities, I would return.

My original room was reserved with a king bed and to check in early I opted for a room with two queen beds. The room was clean and provided a small refrigerator, coffee machine, personal bathroom items and plenty of storage. I was near the elevator but never experienced noise from guests coming and going. Breakfast was included, hot and cold items. Plenty of coffee, tea and other drinks, and the kitchen lounge area provided plenty of modern seating. I'd you need something small, there's a marketplace in the lobby with snacks and drinks, including alcohol. This hotel is close to downtown Columbus as well. We went there for dinner and it was an easy trip. Private parking lot and no charge for parking. This will be on my list for work/personal visits to Columbus.

We had a great room that was big and clean with a view of the parking lot. We were across from the elevator but we didn't hear any hall noises after 10 pm. It was a very pleasant stay. Breakfast was great; hot with lots of choices. A very sweet woman was working her butt off keeping things filled and keeping it clean. She was amazing!
