I've stopped at this service center off I74 several times now, and I want to call out how friendly the staff. This morning, we were greeted when we entered and thanked when we left. The restrooms were spotless. The store offers an amazing amount of supplies for truckers, campers and travelers. I saw everything from small refrigerators to a complete selection of electronic needs. I saw a typical assortment of convenience store roller food and fresh fruits and other grab and go meals. They carried beer, but I did not see locally crafted beer. There is a small McDonald's and Subways as part of the complex. They have showers for truckers. I can't talk to those, but the area looked clean. Outside, they have even built a fenced-in dog park. The park was small with benches for owners. I've never seen a service station with a dog park. The gas was priced average for the area. Parking and the pumps are easy to access. The traffic flow is pretty good. I'll keep stopping here. read more

I'm no trucker, but if I was, I wouldn't mind stopping at this Love's Travel Stop. Did you know: They have showers here! There are four of them. I didn't take a shower, but I did use the restroom, and the cleanliness level of the restroom was just OK. Could have used a once-through. There are also two fast-food restaurants: McDonald's and Subway. I don't eat at either of these places, but do you know what I do eat? I eat banana pudding, and you can find some here in the grab-and-go refrigerated case inside the convenience store. It was OK (it ain't no Buc-ees banana pudding), but if you're in the mood for banana pudding, this one at Love's will do. You also find all kinds of things for your cars and trucks, cooking items, blankets, clothing, sandals, games, toys and lots of packaged snacks. Get some hot dogs (two for $5) in flavors like regular, smoked cheddar and jalapeño cheddar. Surprisingly, they offered cut fruit in an iced cooler by the cash register. Things like pineapple, grapes and watermelon in cups. I don't know why that surprises me, but I'm glad a gas station thinks it's important to highlight nutritious snacks. read more

Nice people! Even with a "now hiring" sign out (which usually means short handed) an employee still had time to answer my questions. This station has 8 "car" pumps, a McDonald's and a Subway. Tests rooms are clean and well stocked, as are the coolers and shelves. Good stopping spot. read more

I stopped here with my family on the way to visiting family in Greensburg. It is a fairly clean gas station-nothing super special. The gas tanks are covered which is good for when it rains. Overall, not a bad place to stop by for getting some gas. read more

At this Gas station, if your coming in from the highway, there's one way in and one way out unless you're taking side streets. This place was moderately packed during my visit plenty of nice vehicles too. It's a very clean establishment, very friendly employees as well. Clean restrooms, healthy snack options which is always a plus. It's just very pricey unfortunately. They have a great variety of chain restaurants, I can't take that away from them. read more

It's hard to imagine a 5-star convenience store/gas station, but this place seems like a good place to start. There was plenty of parking, friendly people welcoming me to the store, and clean/functional restrooms. Add to that a couple chain restaurants to grab a quick bite, and a self serve coffee bar with multiple kinds of coffee available, you can take care of those needs too! They'll steal from you. I purchased something on a whim to see if an auxiliary cord would work in my car. The cord was broken. Non functional. Decided I didn't want it. Since it's at night they can't offer a refund until morning: only problem is I live in Chicago and not dying to chill in Love's parking lot until morning. They basically just steal your money. I do love a good truck stop. This is a good truck stop. We travel 74 from Indy to the Cincy area frequently, and often stop here for gas, or a restroom break, or just to stretch our legs. The help is always friendly, the restrooms have always been clean, and they have a Subway and a McDonald's. They also have the typical gas station roller hot dogs/sausages, and a very well stocked coffee bar. In the store area, there's a bit of everything, from TVs to replica swords. At least I THINK they're replicas! Cowboy hats, T shirts and sweatshirts, cellular accessories, and more. It's worth a stop, in my opinion. read more

What a pleasant surprise at the variety of items under one roof and location size here. McDonald's and Subway is attached with options galore for hot and cold foods, snacks and beverages. The coffee area has 6 or 7 blends of coffee with an extremely tidy and well planned work area. Outstanding selection of beverages in one of the largest wall coolers I've seen on this trip.The entire store appeared to be immuculate from the quick tour I took. Need a cell phone bluetooth, cables, chargers, just pop over to the mobile device area. Truck accessories and service have a clean, well organized, staffed area. Hard to imagine you can't find what you want at this location. Staff was friendly, helpful and geniuely seemed to like their jobs or they faked it well. Made me kind of sad we only needed coffee and ice during this stop. Definitely worth passing up a few other exits and stopping here first. read more

I'm a Sergeant of the U.S. Army and was taking a trip with my family. I decided to buy gas here only to have the worst customer service of my life. The manager called me a liar when I reported their machine caused an error and had me pay for a gas grade I didn't select. He then wasted 30 minutes of my time arguing with me, insisting that I was making up the error, when I had reported it before hand and asked for help but got no help. He argued that I pay for an error caused by their machine and refused to refund me. I've never been so offended like this before. I will never recommend this place. read more

The main reason for this review is to let you know and for me to remember that this gas station is cheapest gas station on 74 between Cincinnati and Indianapolis. if Walking Dead was real, you'd want to hide in this gas station. It literally has everything you can imagine. A Subway for the healthy, a McDonald's for the unhealthy, and SHOWERS! 5 spotless clean showers that are in their own rooms. I really make an effort to have no reason to shop anywhere on holidays, but was travelling home Christmas night and had to make a stop here for much needed over the counter medicine for another person. In my defense, it was around midnight or after and technically no longer Christmas day. The lady from the front counter was stepping outside for a break as I was walking in. She promptly greeted me though she seemed like she had a long tiring day. She wasn't especially friendly and definitely not overly so, but I don't blame her if I am correct in assuming she was stuck there all day on Christmas. She was polite enough and more than many people I encounter elsewhere. Store was clean and well organized. I promptly found a medicine that would work among the selection they had. The same lady rang me out after a short wait. The ladies' restroom was clean as well. Pumping fuel, it was a little annoying that the screen told me to go inside for receipt, which I skipped. It would be nice if there was paper out there. Love's offers an array of things including a McDonald's whose drive-thru was packed. I didn't purchase one this visit, but they have nice yellow Love's refillable butane lighters for a buck. My last one held on through many refills for well over a year before crapping out completely. You'll also find typical truck stop items like Indiana shot glasses. Every Love's I have visited has been clean. Others seem a bit better with customer service than this one, but it wasn't bad by any means. However, on my last visit here about a year ago, there were two women at the front counter than were obviously annoyed with me for reporting a sobbing woman in the restroom. From what I gathered, she was arguing with her husband/boyfriend who was impatiently waiting for her out in the parking lot. The woman also seemed inebriated. Anyway, I had a feeling it could turn into a bad situation so just wanted to give the women a heads-up. As I left I heard one say "What are we supposed to do about it?" in an annoyed and dismissive manner. I was glad that those two weren't here this visit so that was a bonus. Along 74 between Indy and Cincy, this is one of the better places to make a pit stop. Just use caution at night maneuvering around the on and off ramps as it was quite dark there and near the four way stop. The town or state should consider putting a couple street lights in those areas. read more

If you are travelling from Chicago to Cincinnati or vice versa this is one of the regular stops in between Chicago and Indianapolis. This Love's is connected to a McDonald's and a Subway. It has plenty of convenient store like items and even some souvenir type goodies. We actually bought a trucker like blanket here for $30 once because the Mega Bus was so cold. The bathrooms are also like a truck stop and they have a shower area here for the truckers. Staff is friendly and if you are traveling on the Mega Bus they are expecting your visit. read more

I stopped there on my way home Easter weekend. I had to get some essentials (e.g. coffee, diet coke and a lighter) to hold me out for the rest of my drive. As I was approaching the cashier station, Wes (maybe the manager) saw that the line was more than two people and ran up to get the other register active. When it was my turn in line, Wes rang up my items and complete shocked me. He was polite, friendly, energetic as he completed the transaction. His enthusiasm was entirely genuine. It's VERY RARE to find such behavior in a convenience store setting and I found his upbeat personality contagious. After dealing with so many idiots on the road he put me in a better mood with just 30 seconds of interaction. I can only hope that the corporate management of Love's realizes what a valuable resource they have with Wes and adequately compensates him. read more

These places started popping up along the highway between Cincinnati and Chicago in the last few years. Usually attached to a McDonalds, I had low expectations due to the cheesy name. After further exploration these places are pretty cool. Lots of truckers stop and fuel up and there are food and drink, gas, clothing, toys and a plethora of interesting trinkets and books. You could actually spend some time in this place! The restrooms are clean and smell decent and the staff are always social and bubbly. I'm actually starting to "love" stopping at the place and I usually don't stop on a trip that short. read more

Stopped here on the way to Florida last week. Busy gas station/rest area place with a McDonald's in it. We were just getting small snacks, so some of us were just getting small burgers to tide us over. My son ordered the 2 for $2 cheeseburgers...with extra pickles... "I would like 2 cheeseburgers with extra pickles." "Extra pickles." (Wink) "Got it." The 2 cheeseburgers came with the ketchup only.
