Taz explaining the origin of Jamaican Festival Dumplings & Root Beer Spiced Apples. Both were new and delicious flavors to me!

Taz is incredibly professional and prepared. He does a great job of instructing the group to complete a five course meal in the appropriate amount of time without micro managing or just doing it himself. He was hands on only when needed, encouraging, and had a positive attitude. We did this as a team building event which is precisely how it worked. We were each given the opportunity to help wherever we'd like and participate how we wish, we came together to keep things moving and hit our target of completing in time for the pork loin to be completed as soon as finished enjoying the Caribbean Papaya, Mango, and Avocado Salad with Honey Lime Dressing. I had never had a salad like that before, it is not something I would ever order but I am so glad I had this chance to try it. Second best only to the Trinidad Potato Pie it was very refreshing & flavorful. And we made it all from scratch, short of growing the fruits ourselves, it all came from us. I highly suggest inviting Taz to teach a class for you. He did a wonderful job, he has an interesting career path to share on what got him here and we can all be thankful he decided to let his path take him here. He's the right guy for the job. If I were in AZ (I'm in MN), I would bring my family to learn from him and I'd schedule another class with my friends. It was a great & different experience!

All of the recipes were easy to follow (and we enjoyed Taz's tidbits of knowledge on each dish and it's ingredients).

When we were done and looking through the store he would help talk through the different flavors and types of oils they carry/make. The food is delicious I had a canoli and a bite of pizza and I'd absolutely go back to try other things. They have a full bar. They were very busy as it was the last day for the sangria social and the day before Mother's Day but the outdoor seating is pretty vast and the musician was wonderul to listen to. I would highly recommend for a day date, time with friends or just a fun activity!

A fun spot to visit! They offer a tour and a fun store that you can get olive oil, spreads, chocolate bars and tangential products. You can sample the olive oil but there's nothing to dip it in so you'd just be ingesting pure oil; it would have been nice to have a pretzel or bread to dip! I would have wanted everything to be made there but for example the pastas and pasta sauces weren't. And they sell other products from elsewhere. If I'm making a trip here, I'd want to buy things that are primarily made here. They also have several dining options (not sure how they're all related). I was pleased with the food we ordered: huge artichoke calzone (soft dough and good filling) for $22 and fish and chips (excellent fries), as well as a bakery that sells cupcakes, scones, cakes, cookies, brownies as well as gelato. We liked the cookies and scone though the latter didn't have the usual consistency of a scone). It was interesting that their Italian cookies were actually slightly cheaper purchased at the counter vs the already packaged box. They also sell cerreta individually wrapped candies. They have indoor and outdoor seating if you want to eat there. Employees were very friendly. I'm sure it is a more pleasurable experience going when there aren't a lot of crowds, as it is a tourist spot and has overflow parking.

We signed up for the Blankets & Besties workshop, where you make a chunky blanket. You get to choose your color from a list and note it when you register on their website. It was $85 before tax and came with 5 skeins of yarn, with the option to add more (I think for an additional $15). I also put in the notes on my registration the names of my friends so that we could sit together. The workshop was at 6pm on a Friday and lasted about two hours. There was my group of three and three others, plus the owner/instructor Lauren. Her instructions were easy to follow, and she would jump in if we needed help. I made a few errors, and she was able to fix them for me. I ended up making my loops too loose on the outside and too tight on the inside, so my blanket came out a bit small. But I think it was decent for my first attempt. It's so soft. I keep it on my couch to use as a lap blanket. We all had a great time and would definitely come back to try other workshops. My coworker had tried one of the resin workshops and really liked it too.

The leader just said instructions quickly and with everyone doing so many different projects at same time, she couldn't go step by step to show anything or show different techniques. I was told that the resin would fall off the sides of the wood but I could put resin if I wanted. Well, it didn't fall off the side and looks bad. We luckily had a nice couple across from us with experience using resin and helped us along the way. I also googled things along the way (like how much resin is too thick cause that was never mentioned). For the price I paid I should not be googling information or asking other customers.
