I was going to wait for my photos back from my wedding to write this review, but I can't take it anymore! I got married at Modern Farm in March, and it was an incredible experience. If you're considering getting married here, do it! You will not regret it. First, the venue is just beautiful. There's a big white barn with concrete floors (and air conditioning!), which is where we had our ceremony. Plenty of bathrooms, gorgeous bride and grooms quarters. The lawn is huge and green and lovely, and lined with mature trees. It was 90 degrees on my wedding day but it was perfectly comfortable on the property thanks to all the shade from the trees. Parking is limited on site, but there are side streets to park down. The DoubleTree nearby provides a free shuttle. We had 100 or so guests and didn't have any problems. We encouraged carpooling, provided parking maps with Sean's help, and told guests not to block driveways or park too close to stop signs. It's in a residential area, so be mindful of the neighbors. Ok, second, Sean was an incredible host. Having our wedding there felt like having it at a friend's house. Sean was so easy-going and opened the property to us so many times to let us scheme and meet with vendors (many of whom were recommendations from Sean and were outstanding!) On the morning of our wedding, we had a couple acrylic signs that we had made that weren't working with the easels that we brought. Sean said no problem, grabbed some wood, cut it, routed out the middle, and MADE US STANDS for the signs that were absolutely perfect. Can you believe? He's such a good guy, and it's things like that that really make you feel like you're in the right place. Thanks again, Sean and family! read more

So let me start out by saying it is a very nice space. But there was a HUGE lack of professionalism. We decided against using this venue even though it would of been nice for our wedding. So I emailed them from the "contact us" section on their website asking to view the property then received a response the next day and after a few emails back and forth we scheduled an appointment even though brief. I was told to text them a reminder. So after texting them a reminder on the day of, no response, then later I sent another text while on the way. They called me and told me they have no memory of scheduling my appointment but that they were up the street and would come meet me there. Then told me to just look around myself and call if I have questions. So my fiancé and I were just walking around the venue alone not knowing what's what. We felt like our wedding or business wasn't even important. We get they're probably busy and deal with a ton of people but just a big lack of respect. A wedding is a special time to a couple they want to feel like it's special and not a burden. read more

Attended a wedding ceremony and reception here. Beautiful and intimate. Limited parking, but easy to park nearby and take a lift.

We had our wedding here on April 29th and it was perfect. Our guest loved the location and the perfect weather was a blessing. Breezy and cool at the end of April is unheard of in AZ. Sean and his wife are very nice and were helpful leading up and the day of. We were working with a limited budget and they were helpful in working with us to still have a beautiful wedding. The process of planning a wedding is beyond stressful but if this is your venue you'll have one less thing to worry about. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to host and event not just a wedding. Plan accordingly to have some strong peeps with you to set up the tables and put them away at the end of the night. And don't be like us, arrange in advance your "cleaning crew" aka family members and friends so that you're not the last ones there cleaning up. The only thing I would have changed would be renting some lighting for the area by the trees. It's amazing during the day and the venue is awesome but once the sun goes down you'll need more lighting set up for your guests. read more

It was my first time here to meet the owner's Sean & Cyndi, they are fantastic! Sean with his huge smile was bursting with energy the entire night. This was an open house event with every vendor you could ever need for your event. My favorites were Bar Magic providing great drinks and unbelievable magic tricks, JC's steakhouse provided an incredible array of food and I Do Rentals provided many games including bag toss, 4-square, giant jenga and others. Looking forward to having some wine tastings here. read more

The owners, Sean and Cyndi, were so easy to work with! I really loved having our wedding there! It was a blank canvas, perfect for my Halloween wedding. Cyndi is an excellent baker and made our cake and some treats. I felt her prices were very reasonable considering the finished product. Sean was very responsive and always available for questions. The night was great! They provide tables and benches (that you have to arrange before the event so make sure you have some muscle). Make sure you have a good clean up/exit strategy. We have had nothing but compliments from using this venue. It was absolutely beautiful and the owners really take pride in the work and service they provide. Sean let us stop by constantly, text him at all hours of the day with questions (some of which I am sure he had already answered for us) and really made us feel comfortable and confident about our wedding. They are constantly improving and adding to this venue so it only gets better every time you go. If you're looking to have a wedding, need somewhere affordable and that really lets you DIY and get into building your dream wedding, look at this place because you won't be disappointed. My husband and I got married here a year ago. They made the whole experience so easy and effortless. They were able to negotiate a good rate for us and went above and beyond. My husband forgot to bring a few things we needed for the reception the day of the wedding and Sean offered to go buy the things we needed from the store and that took off a huge burden from his shoulders. This is a perfect DIY Venue. We couldn't be happier with our experience. Sean responded to all our questions (which was a lot), always took a kind approach to problem solving and let us visit the property many times as plans became concrete. The yard, barn and bride/grooms rooms are all super cool. They recently built the grooms room which has a modern loft. It made getting ready there super easy. Parking didn't end up being a problem at all. Our wedding was about as large as you can get at the venue (130) and we directed people to park on a street 2 houses away and told them to just get there a little early. Not only was the venue beyond beautiful and the most perfect space for a wedding but it is also affordable. Sean the owner was amazing to work with, he replied quickly to any messages I have sent and was always there to help through the process. When my fiancé and I first came to see the Modern Farm none of the current renovations were done but Sean had told us all of his plans for the space and we could see his vision and trusted in him to have these things done like he said and let me tell you he lived up to his word. Every time we went to visit there was always something new and beyond beautiful that was added. This is the perfect place for a diy bride who wants to use their own vendors (which is hard to find at a venue). The space has a fully renovated barn space that has industrial elements, and a huge outdoor space with twinkle lights covering the whole yard. They also have a bridal suit and a groomsman suit that gave us a space to get ready in and relax in between events. It was the perfect space for my special day and I got so many compliments of the venue from my guests. I could rave about this place for forever and couldn't ask for a better experience. read more

Beautiful Venue, wonderful host that really does try his hardest to make your event everything you wanted. Only difficulty was parking, which is a pretty common problem with venues. The beautiful farm tables, barn, and lighting is worth it though. read more
