A fun place for acrylic art pouring and rug latching. There are smaller quick projects such as embellishing cell phone covers and picture frames too. If you want to do art pouring, there are a number of different blank figures to choose from. Sizes vary from tiny to large. For rug latching, the store has ready made patterns for you to follow. You can also draw your own, and staff will transfer it to a canvas. There is a special tool to embed yarn into the canvas. Busy, pricey, time consuming, but rewarding. We booked a time slot and took a bit to get started. They were quite busy and short staffed. The manager was kind and tried her best, but time was ticking. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was some serious work which we were warned about the images we selected. Starting out they give some practice and off you go. Almost got discouraged, but I loved seeing my work come to life. The time spent is no exaggeration. They encourage breaks and even offer the opportunity to return for a second day (which I refused). Almost 4hrs later and we were done. Not sure if I'll do it again but so glad i did it. Where Art meets Anxiety just kidding but also, I'm serious We had a mommy and me date with friends. Our group has a very wide range of art talents with me having the least amount of skill. First you need to select a picture that they will then place on a projector. If this is your first time OMG pick something SIMPLE Soft and natural edges like a star or something smooth like an apple If you pick something too complicated you may want to give up on your art work. Also, try not to lose your mind when you're tracing your drawing because your arm, head, well pretty much anything will block your view The staff gives you a tutorial on how to tuft. PAY ATTENTION I can't tell you how many times I heard ouch throughout the store because folks forgot to turn off the gun or touched the needle while threading Next you get to select your colors of thread. I had a wonderful experience at TuTugether! I came specifically to make a decoden phone case. I stopped by on a Monday afternoon- no one else was in the store. It's really fun and colorful inside with tons of examples of what you can make there. The staff were super pleasant and nice and explained everything thoroughly to me. She also helped me get the right phone case. The decoden process allows you to choose from tons of different glue colors, and the staff will bring even more if you'd like. They have hundreds of different little items to decorate with and they're well organized and color coded. You can choose tons of colors and charms. After I finished, the staff member dried the case and little bit and packaged it neatly for me. The case was ready to use in 24 hours and looks great! And they had different sizes for all of the figures. They had a good amount of color options, and we basically chose the colors we wanted and the instructed us how to pour the paint. The experience itself is incredibly fun. We came in on a Monday at 3 and it was pretty busy. They only had one person working and she seemed incredibly overwhelmed (justifiably so). We made our rugs and the instructions given were perfect. The problem came with finishing because there was only one person working they couldn't finish the rugs for us so we said we'd come in the next day to pick them up. We came in and they didn't have our rugs finished. We don't live in town and we were on a time crunch so this was inconvenient. Luckily there was two people working so they were able to do it and get it to us in 20 minutes. Three small rugs was $237 which was pricy but seems like the average for these places. read more

Returned to pick up our pour bear that we did. Unfortunately, it wasn't in the store anymore and looks like it was given to someone else. The guy that was there that day (I'm assuming he's the owner) was apologetic and helpful. We were able to make a new one at a bigger size. While we were there he explained the store was under new management and everything is being revamped and revised. They are currently undergoing some minor renovations and the place definitely looked a lot more organized since we were there about 2 months ago. The charms had a whole new set-up that looked more organized and better stocked. Please ignore the previous bad reviews and give this place a try as things have definitely changed. read more

This was a super fun and unique date night/friend night idea! We saw "rug tufting" come through on our Instagrams from Tutu Gether and we booked a 16x16 rug tufting class the next day. It was a little chaotic inside and it didn't seem organized. Our reservation was for 5:00 pm, but between checkin, set up, learning how to use the gun, picking colors and getting supplies we didn't start till 5:50 pm since we had to wait for a projector, table/seats, and supplies to open up. But it was busy on a Saturday night! Once we learned how to use the tufting gun it was a lot of fun! A bit harder than it looks but a unique craft night! Be prepared to do most of this project with little to no help. No one ever checked in on us after teaching us how to use the tufting gun for ~10 minutes! When I checked in, I paid the remainder of my deposit. When I made the booking online my deposit taken from my credit card was $21.69 but only $20 was applied to remainder (the class cost $70 for the smallest rug), and my total was $59.49 with the option to tip. So all together it was $81.18 and not $70 which I thought was interesting. The gentlemen who checked my two other friends out didn't believe me when I said I paid at the beginning - which I would have assumed that's what people did? So he had to reverify that I did paid and the system said I never checked in. It showed a bit of lack of communication with their team. I also thought that some of the gals that worked there weren't the most friendly, if we had questions or needed help it seemed like they didn't really want to. Also, make sure you pay for at least 4 hours of parking... we had to get up in the middle of our experience to re-load our meters. All together it was fun and I'd recommend the experience! read more

I found this place through social media and knew I had to check them out because it looked like so much fun! I went online to get the all deets and saw that they highly recommended making a reservation but it also said that they accepted walk ins. I emailed them requesting Friday 10/6 about a week before and I did not hear back from them. Wednesday came around and I decided to just call them since I did not hear back via email. The girl quickly answered and was friendly but sounded confused. She told me a big group had reserved for 6:30pm so I had to book anytime before then because they were going to focus on helping the big group while they were there.. So I ended up picking the 4pm slot. I booked for my friend and I and we started the process around 4:15pm because we were running a little behind. The worker was very friendly and understanding when we arrived. It was pretty busy and there were about 6 other people tufting and a full table with people doing the drip art. We were instructed on how the tufting process worked and how to use the tufting gun - it was a very simple process. We grabbed our yarn, picked our designs, and traced our designs onto the canvases. We didn't know if we were good to go or not because the employee who was originally helping us left for the day. We sat and looked at each other with no direction so figured we could start and we began... We found that tufting is easy and can be a lot of fun but it can be a little scary at the same time. It's so easy to mess up if you are not paying attention and there is no going back to fix your mistakes. For the most part the 3 employees that were there kept to themselves. They did not check up on us and left us on our own. We spent about 2.5 hours tufting and finally at the end we flagged one of the workers that was sitting in the back down to come help us out. He came over, looked over our pieces, and told us what to do next to fix them. After we fixed our mistakes he took them to the back to clean them up and this process took about another 35 minutes. He handed us each our rug when he was done and we each got a clear bag to put them in. He then quickly checked us out. We each paid about $71 each for each small rug. Prices vary and we saw that the most expensive rug will cost you about $300. We thought the prices were a little high but we had fun. They can definitely improve on their customer service skills as its non existent. We saw a lot of people walk in and just walk out because no one approached them. They definitely need an employee to man the front desk and be there for anyone who has questions. Overall it was a a lot of fun and such a unique experience. I made a cute little peach and it's just chilling on my wall. Hopefully they fix out their kinks soon and I will be back again sometime in the future! read more

I am very disappointed in the product we received. I spent $70 for my daughters to make two phone cases on our trip to Arizona. We should have left right away after how rude the employees were but we were with family so we stayed. The product to decorate the cases was not easy to work with but they tried their best. We were told it would take 48 hours to dry completely. After a few days they both tried to use the cases. The beads and gems begin falling off. They waited a few more days now it's just all peeling off. I feel ripped off. I want my money back. read more

I was looking forward to doing this pour painting with my mom in Tempe. I bought the ceramic bear and she did a ceramic bunny. It's a cute but very small space. There were 3 employees on sight but very chaotic with no clear leader. They put us at a table with our ceramics, we chose our paints and put on our plastic food gloves and plastic aprons. We got to pouring our paints which was so much fun!! When we were done we were told to take pictures of our newly crafted crafts as this was how we'd "find it" when we came back to pick it up. I went to pick our crafts up on Thursday and found the bunny right away but apparently 4 of us made the exact bear with the same colors. I finally found mine but was disappointed as it had a black fingerprint left from an employee as I didn't use any black paint. I told them that they really should put a sticky note by every craft with the clients name so we can not only find them faster but to ensure that they are actually ours. We were just told, "that's why we have you take a picture of them." Got our crafts home to them actually melting!! They were not dry even after 4 1/2 days!! I'm so disappointed as they cost us $75 for the bunny and $85 for the bear. All in all, I think this was a one and done experience as the products aren't really worth it especially when they're still wet.. read more

So, I was a little worried after reading so many negative reviews- with that said, I felt that my review would be incredibly important. Firstly, I chose this as an activity for my mom and I to do together during her visit, as we're both artists and I've tried to find creative activities that we could enjoy! This was honestly a hit, especially for an individual who is used to acrylic painting for 10+ hours a day, a creative change of pace for one day is always helpful. We did book our reservation about a month in advance, as I wanted to ensure that we had ample time to enjoy this without feeling rushed. We came on a Thursday afternoon and it was relatively empty, which was quite pleasant! Pros: Though neither of us had done rug tufting before, we both chose quite ambitious designs and felt pretty well set for success after instruction for how to use the tufting gun! There was a massive selection of thread colors and it's nice to be able to choose your own design and project it! We're both incredibly familiar with projectors, so this wasn't an issue. The employees were kindly trying to figure out how to make my design diagonal on the medium canvas for ample space and seemed a bit confused, so I just took over in the nicest way! Projectors can be tricky, so I didn't mind at all, I appreciated them being willing to give me the best experience possible in the first place! The employees told us that the small size took on average 2-4 hours and the medium averaging 4-6. With us on the small and medium sizings, we were both done in about 2 1/2 hours. Though, I appreciate their consideration with trial and error time! It was clearly an option to leave the in-progress project and come back to it, even days later without any extra charge. That was incredibly kind of them to offer, as projects under pressure can be stress inducing at times! Cons: The tutorial was a bit long (nearly an hour) but I also did appreciate the employees being willing to be thorough, as I don't expect the average person walking in to be a lifetime artist that catches onto creative activities so easily. So, ensure that you have time in mind for the tutorial. After the initial tutorial, nobody really checked on us until we stated that we were done, then received a couple of simple tips (closer spacing for one, adding a border for the other). I definitely would've liked a random, "hey, this is looking great! Maybe add xyz for best results" every now and then. I know most reviewers were covering a lack of constant instruction and assistance, but people do need to keep in mind that this is not a class, it's an activity! A tiny bit more involvement would be nice, but I don't want someone lurking behind me during my entire project either. Pricing: I know others were considering this to be incredibly expensive. Yet, as artists, it's easy to understand the cost of materials! After adding everything up, if we were to purchase all of the materials ourselves, it would have been around $100 more than our experience today. If you're doing this frequently, maybe buy the materials! Otherwise, this is well priced for what you're doing, especially since the employees shave, steam, and mount the rugs after completion. Please feel free to refer to photos- as our designs were quite intricate and provide a wonderful example of what you can do here within a few hours! They're not perfect by any means, but we were quite impressed by the results after doing this for the first time! Overall- I really enjoyed a creative day with my mom at Tutugether. I'm genuinely disappointed with the staff service that was rendered to me and my sisters today at Tutu gether. I'm hoping the owner of this new craft store reads my comment and works on implementing essential customer service. I heard this place just opened up and it would really SUCK if this place did not meet its full potential because of something SOOO EASY and IMPORTANT TO DO. We had to ask the staff several times for clear instructions on what to do with the stuff after we were done using it because they all said something different and since we have never been here, we didn't want to mess anything up for them. We ended up figuring out ourselves what to do. It got to a point where we didn't even want to ask questions because they were all chatting up with each other and avoiding contact with us. We kept it professional and quietly left the store when we were done. The place itself is super cool and pretty !!! I loved the setting and how everything was well organized. The staff was the only concern, I don't think I want to risk going again but I hope that if anyone else does go and has a horrible experience like ours.... I had really really high hopes for this place, but honestly the staff is really lacking. 1. Make sure you make a reservation 2. I highly recommend waiting until they pull you into the class, to start tracing your design on the canvas. Lots of people will trace super hard stuff, and then during the lesson learn their design is a bit ambitious/detailed but it's too late to change. 4. I appreciate proper and thorough instruction, I've read reviews of it being too fast; but I'm 100% sure that was 25-30 min of instruction and 10-15 of it was standing while people tried the gun...we weren't being shown a bunch of safety things and accidents it was just..really slow. Honestly, once we were sat down and started, it went great. Very straightforward, draw your design grab your yarn and go. Unfortunately, me being by myself doing this is the only time we enjoyed being here. The girl with the neon pink hair was nice and let me know to fill in some spaces, she said besides that mines fine. The guy who took my rug to cut didn't really say anything, we just stood and waited; it would've been nice if he said "give me 10-15 min for both of them" we would've stepped out. Well, I get my rug back, and an entire corner of my design is cut off. It looks like shit. The backing is peeking through/pieces weren't cut, you can tell the person didn't take their time. I'm attaching pictures of what I started with on the frame, and where the corner was cut off. This was a birthday gift for my mother, so I'm really disappointed having sat there for 2-3 hours and it was completely out of my control that this happened. Same experience as Katie A. This place was an absolute mess when I got there at 3pm on 9/8/24. I approached the counter and no one acknowledged my presence. After standing there for about 7 mins, a young lady came to the counter and she stood there and didn't say a word. When she did, she spoke so quietly I had to ask her to speak up. She found me in the iPad and off she went. There was no discussion about how things work or what I should expect. I waited and another guy approached and he didn't say a word. The girl that helped before approached a few mins later and asked me to sit in a chair that was closest to the door and facing the back of the studio. Problem with that is I could not see what I was tracing. She apologized for that but off she went. There were many open spaces further in the studio. I tried to trace my image and it was lame at best. But, I powered on. When I was done, I sat there for 15 mins and as I didn't know what to expect next. Got tired of waiting, I went to the counter where the first girl was checking someone out. As I stood there 3 other folks went behind the counter. None of them asked what I needed. Then the first girl got done with the folks in front of me and she turned away and got into conversation with the others that were there. I waited for about 5 mins before I interrupted and asked if someone was going to show me the next step. Another girl said "for what", I said "she should know". The original girl walked away. Now someone else takes me to go to teach me how to use the gun. I do a 7 min lesson and am sent on my own. This was ok, but I think TuTugether needs to think about making space for rethreading the gun. I had on shorts and sat that gun in my lap. I got poked while threading. Today, I'm at a doc office getting a tetanus shot. There is no room on those tables to retread. And that thing is sharp. I know I signed a waiver but it's your job to make sure people know all the dangers of that gun. I want to do it again but not there. The only person who gave me any attention and tried to make the experience decent was the girl with pink hair. Wanted to love this place but overall I was extremely disappointed. I was looking into this place for my daughter's 12th birthday. We were traveling from LA to Arizona to see family and thought this would be perfect for her birthday. We were interested in the decoden phone cases. Their website states that walk-ins are fine and no appointment is needed for decoden. But I decided to reach out anyway, just in case. I called with no answer then reached out via instagram. The person replied and let me know that there was availability on 1/6 and that they recommend that I make an appointment. I told them the times I preferred then they didn't reply. Just left me on read/seen. Left me on read. I sent ANOTHER message and they said they'd help me make a reservation and when I told them my preferred time AGAIN, they left me on read AGAIN. Once I got to Arizona I called the day before my proposed appointment and they told me they were BOOKED and didn't have my appointment down. I was obviously livid. They said they could find another day for me (which was impossible since I am coming from Los Angeles), otherwise, they'd squeeze me in for 8p. Which is obviously not ideal for children but we went anyway. When we got there the place was very nice and quaint. There's a lot of good energy around with people creating things. We were seated at our table, they told us where the supplies were then left to our own devices. No instruction. No direction. The girls had to figure out how to use the piping bags and change the tips. They didn't help as along the way or see how things were going. They didn't help us, check in on us, nothing. They did however let us replace one of the phone cases for one of the girls who messed up. But I felt it was only right considering they weren't helping us. I do like the atmosphere of the place. The vibes are great, and for the decoden items, there are a lot of charms and colors to choose from which is nice. It seems like the custom rugs are their main focus and everyone else is not important. Overall I wouldn't patron this place again unless they got better with their customer service and organization. You'd think for your troubles we'd be given a discount or something. Maybe even a promo that I could give to my Arizona family for next time. We barely got apologies. read more

I came here with my friend multiple times because we weren't able to finish our rugs the first or second time, the first time the service was great and the staff member was very nice, but when we went back a second time to finish our rugs the staff was very rude. I told her that I was finished and she kept saying that I wasn't because if she dug her fingers through it you could she the thing underneath. I fixed it and I said I was done once again and she said the same thing. This happened about 3 more times before she finally said I was done after my friend's dad had to insist that I was in fact done and that it was my rug not hers. Also, when I was asking for help because something was wrong with my tufting gun it seemed like she adjusted the speed of the gun too high, because after she helped me it was much faster. The 2 other people that were with me also saw it so I wasn't imagining things. When we came here the first time the boy that was helping us politely stated that if my friend wanted she could add a second row on the outline so that it would be easier to shave, but that she didn't have to. When we came here the second time the lady rudely insisted that both of us HAD to do a second outline and that my friend had to add a background. I'm pretty sure that she just said that to make her job easier. This doesn't make sense because the first guy that helped us said it was fine. I'm convinced that the girl who was helping us the second time didn't care about the extra effort my friend had to put in and only cared about how easy it was for her. Overall the female staff was very rude and not helpful, but making the rugs was fun and I look forward to the finished product (we have to go back a third time to pick it up). read more
