My son just started kickboxing classes next door and I decided to pop-in during one of his classes. This is the home of, "The Brioche Lady" hence the TBL in the name and her breads are made daily and available until sold out. I bought a loaf and it was incredible, we used it for French Toast! This market has everything you'll need for an authentic asian themed dinner. Fresh produce, chinese sausages, isles of sauces and spices, and shelves full of asian sweet treats as well. They also have pre-cooked take home section with egg rolls, rice dishes, and other lunch items. My daughter wanted a lot of the sweets. So, I bought a lot of cookies, candy, sauces, and a Japanese Maple Tree for only $35 dollars! Love this place and it's truly a gem in the neighborhood! read more

This year my daughter wanted pho for her birthday. We love the Asian market by our house but we wanted to venture out and see what else Fresno/clovis has to offer. With great reviews on Yelp, choosing TBL was a no brainer. We had to drive about 20 minutes but it was not hard to find. They're right on Clovis Ave. they are in a small shopping strip next to the Sam's burgers, tattoo parlor and a barber shop. There is plenty of parking. Before you walk in don't forget your bags! They have a sign up reminding people to please bring their own bags. We were greeted right away when we walked in. It was nice and truly seemed genuine. Like, these people actually appreciate their customers. You can tell they do because the store is clean and organized. This was a very nice market with lots of veggies, specialty frozen foods and imported packaged foods. There is also hot food in the back if you need a bite to eat. The prices are reasonable and pretty average for what ive seen out there. We had a great experience here and will for sure be back! read more

4/5 only because there were only a few Hello Kitty items available. The last time I was here there were so many! In today for the regular fresh produce: bean sprouts, cucumbers, bok choy, sweet peas. Also grabbed some tofu and seaweed. Busy day at the TBL but the nice woman at the register was fast! read more

Love coming to my local Asian store! The variety of products available from local farmers is amazing! The simplicity of life and the variety of fresh local veggies and fruit daily. The service of the team members is always great and friendly. The cleanliness and organization of this store is great! And easy to locate items. In the back of the store they have a variety of fresh warm food for great reasonable prices. Today I grabbed some sticky rice (forgot to take a picture, before I started eating it lol) and it came with a side of sauce which is delicious and spicy for $3. Great price point. Next time I'll have to try the steamed fish with sticky rice. read more

Love this Asian Market. Although some of their merchandise is a bit more, but this is the only Asian Market in the Clovis Area. Also, the Brioche Lady bread is sold here. The price starts at $6. They bake it the night before when I asked. If you want pre-packaged veggies, this is the place and the price is fair. read more

Great selection of asian products, far superior to what you find at grocery stores like Von's, Savemart, etc.. Good prices and friendly service. Clean and well kept store. Nubchi Thao, popularly known as the Brioche Lady for the freshly baked French breads she used to sell at local farmers markets for years, has opened an Asian market in Clovis. Although it is a smaller market (originally the Golden Phoenix Asian Market), there is a fresh Chinese vegetable and Asian fruit (e.g., rumbutan, lychee, dragon fruit, jack fruit, etc.) section in addition to a surprisingly wide selection of Asian goods. Finally, a local Asian market that sells produce! Perhaps best yet, the back section of the market is being expanded to add a bakery where the Brioche Lady will be back to baking and selling her Brioche, and other fluffy breads and baked goods in house. read more

Honestly didn't give it too extensive of a try I would try again. They are very small and limited. I didn't see any meats except frozen. Maybe I came at the wrong time. They had some little things that are hard to find for me and of course some produce basics . But overall just middle for me not bad but not good. read more

We started going to this market when was name it's golden phoenix. Then the brioche lady bought it and make it TBL market wow. I love their brioche coz it's come in so many flavors. Disappointing. Most of the standard disappointing hallmarks of small "international markets" I've come across in several cities and states, e.g. it does not come across as bright and clean like a good local market or supermarket, many items not priced, most not labeled in any way with Spanish or English so you may have no idea what half the market is comprised of unless you know some asian languages and/or already know what the food products and produce/meats being sold are; it can be a somewhat frustrating experience. That, and the atmosphere/lack of customer service lends to an unwelcoming experience for a white guy who grew up here. Bring your Google Translator app if you're not fluent in an Asian or a Pan-Asian language or two. I'm one who loves trying new things, but unfortunately the wife and I walked out empty handed because of the items available, the ones we could identify were all available at better kempt stores at seemingly competitive prices. Still like Island Pacific on Bullard in NE Fresno best of what I've come across in the area, but I'm always on the hunt for clean markets with International foods to sample. Wife worked in and managing supermarkets for 20+ years so we know the challenges of food safety in meticulously clean stores, and unfortunately many stories you may not want to hear about food stores that are not meticulous with cleaning and maintenance. Selection made it a 4-star, mediocre maintenance and what that often translates to in terms of food safety dropped it to a 2-star review (my family won't be returning but I don't want to pretend I know more than I do about their actual problem(s) with food safety there.) read more

From walking in to checking out, shopping here is lovely, and I can't wait to come back! You're greeted warmly by every worker when you walk inside, everyone seems generally happy. The selection is the store is so vast, with many imported goods that you can't find anywhere else usually. Everything is priced decently, and they even have some stellar deals. The freezer aisle had me squealing like a little girl in a candy shop because I was amazed at all the products they had that I've been dying to try but would never find. In the back of the store, they have prepared foods like sticky rice plates. My favorite aisle was the noodle aisle. They have a wall dedicated to so many flavors of noodles. Our favorite instant noodles are Samyang, and they had flavors of Samyang I didn't even know they made! When checking out, everyone was super nice and helpful. The owner of the store, The Brioche Lady, was walking around and helping bag our groceries. She was so nice and professional. This is definitely a place to check out whether you need to pick up some things, want to get some snacks, or just browse. You won't be disappointed. read more

It is a local Asian market in clovis. Very clean and organized. Warm food station is also plus. Fresh veggies are always fresh.

As soon as you walk in you're greeted with happy smiling faces. I love the fact that everything is all organized and store is very clean. There is a lot of products from our local farmers which a plus. In the fridge there is a lot of Korean items that are so affordable. Aside from all of the goodies, there is a section in the back for hot food items and another fridge with homemade desserts.
