This is a pretty tiny Asian market with a little bit of everything. I'm suprised that they have so many things here. I especially appreciate how thry support local farmers by carrying fresh, locally grpwn ptoduce alongside a great vareitt pf seasonal Asian fruits and veggies that can be hafd go find elsewhere. The store also offers hot food to go, a small food court, money orders, Asian cookwares, party supplies, and traditional Southeast Asian and Hmong items. It's a fun place to browse, and you may come across something unique or exactly what you were looking for. Definetly worth checking out if you enjoy exploring different foods and cultures. HMONG :: I believe this might be the only place that you can find bridal items, Hmong "elders shirt" (related to death) clothes, traditional clothes, shawmen tools, party cookwares, etc you name it. The cashier lady was super rude! As I'm standing in line waiting to check out, the rude beefy lady told me the line is on the side, apparently just a cashier next to hers. I'm like ok, you got three cashiers so there should be three lines, one for each but whatever. I moved to that particular spot to go to the back of the line but the customer standing in front, told me to go ahead cause I was here first which was very nice of him. However, as I'm checking out, the rude cashier gave me the dirtiest look and an attitude as if I cut in front of all the customers! Wow ! The accusation. It's not that serious, woman. I've gone to plenty of Asian markets but I really enjoy this one. It's clean and very neatly organized. I tend to enjoy the shopping experience when the isles are easy to navigate. You can buy sticky rice pots and baskets here and they have a clothing boutique in the back with a seamstress. There's hot food ready to go. Stir fry's, Ban mih, sticky/chicken, spring Rolls etc. I tried the egg rolls and sesame balls. Both excellent. Sesame balls can be too doughy sometimes these were perfect, fluffy and right amount of sweetness. Egg rolls were not old or greasy. They were stuffed proportionately with meat and veggie. I bought some Korean corn dogs with cheese in the frozen section. I haven't made them yet but I'm sure they will great once we fry them. We also picked up pork belly to cook and it was decently priced! This is about their catering service. 1) A few month ago, I ordered a big tray of papaya salad to go. At the time of placing the order, I specifically asked if they would be able to do it for a 12:30pm pick up, as I had to be back at work at 1pm. They assured me it would be done. On the day of the pick up, I got there a few minutes before 12:30pm, they had not even started working on the order. The employee was very apologetic. They had me wait 10-15 min and brought it as soon as they were done. Not happy. As for the food, I did not taste it, but those who did said it was good. Offer better customer service. Give out a coupon or a free appetizer for the inconvenience, especially when you mess up. I want to support your business, but not when you show little care for your customers. 2) My workplace catered hot food from them two days in a row. The food tasted fresh and flavorful! I was very impressed. Don't let the food section at the store fool you. I never order from there because the food never looks very fresh whenever I go there. It looks like it's been there for hours. This supermarket is big and has lots of variety from veggies, oriental needs, shoes, clothes and even hot foods. Last time I was here, I didn't like the hot foods so I avoided that. They had a great variety of snacks and veggies. They also have a reward system if you're a local so I would look into that. They're open until 7:30pm and not 7:00pm as noted on my phone. Staff is friendly and they had stuff that the other big stores didn't have in regards to snacks. I would come again! read more

Huge selection of produce. They had fresh longan so I was very happy. Meat selection is mid. And line is confusing. The check out lines were empty but when we went to one a guy pointed out that there's a sign on the ceiling. The checkout clerks weren't friendly and didn't help at all. Love this Asia super market. Always find myself here before my drive home to Los Angeles It's a one stop shop. I noticed they also offer funeral caskets services by calling the store or the number on the fliers. In the back room they make special funeral floral or paper money arrangements . Looking for traditional HMong , Mien or Lao dresses / attire they have you covered here. . They didn't have many Asian herbs this time around besides cilantro, mint . Now is the season for mustard greens and oranges. Price of lemon grass bundles has gone up , used to be $2.98 ,today I paid $5.98 . Of course the customer service here has been consistent. Be wary of buying anything they package in house for freshness. Bought a pack of fried pork skin, use it the following day only for it to be really stale. Package date said to sell by May 4th. We are from Oregon and my mom bought 6 packs of specially made Hmong sausages to bring back home. My husband bit into the first pack that we cooked and found the zip ties and rubberband that must have held the vegetables together. This store has many Asian staples. The aisles are very skinny and it is hard to find items. Plus it seems that you are always in someone's way, ot there is always someone in your way. There are two large lines at the front of the store that block EVERYTHING in the area around the check-out stations. On Saturday the 13th the produce did not look fresh. If this is the only store like this in the area maybe it is OK. (Why I rate 3 Stars) but I would not recommend, just an awkward place to spend money. read more

Very unsanitary. Bought a papaya salad and they gave me a free half-alive cockroach with my food. I didnt notice until we came home to open the bag. I was kinda scared to buy food there since Im pregnant but i decided to go along with my husband to give it a try... my intuition was right... there goes the roach on the top of the papaya salad lid. I ended up purchasing more than I had anticipated. They have a hot food section which I did not try, but it looked really good. The prices are pretty reasonable. All of the staff members I encountered were pretty nice they helped me find a few things that I was looking for. The line to pay was set up in a way where people could be 6 feet apart. Asia Supermarket has crowds of customers because of the product line they carries -- some of those cannot be found in other local markets. They are usually buying produces and food at the food kiosk, next to the meat department. This causes issues when it comes to navigating around the store on foot, but awful when lining up to purchase at the cashier. Wait can last up to 20 - 30 minutes on a very crowded day. Tried only their mango crepes in the fridge for $5 the last time I was here. It wasn't bad. Not fluffy but hefty with the cream. Sweet and aromatic. Slimy because of the condensation after removal from the fridge. Only real issue is finding a spoon to eat soup with. While utensil are located among aisles of cooking utensils and equipment, soup spoons are nearby the cashier. Also, require cleaning by boiling them to upset the adhesions off the bottom of the spoon. But they are affordable. And speaking of equipment, they hold few good brand name for rice cookers, but only entry level for low budget and small family. So if you're a college student, look no further for this! Plants are nice to see and smell. But leaves are seen to be eaten by bugs. But at least they are being treated, by pruning and watering. Never buy at the meat department. There are so few selection and if they have some, it's questionable quality. Have retail, religious event, and funeral props department with tailors at the rear of the supermarket. Haven't examine it closely, so I can't say much other than they are currently there. Sometime, you can find their tailor asleep in front of the table in the back. Like most Asian grocery stores I had been to, Asia Supermarket is among the many that feels crowded and unclean. However, some prices for equipment and food are reasonable. Many aren't reasonable, like the $9 fish sauce or $4 siracha sauce. Don't even buy their meal from the food kiosk, nor their snack because of their expensive price and poor quality of control. I recommend browsing around first, but if you need to buy anything go somewhere else. Then when you have assessed what you need, consider prices and alternative options. Don't shop like this supermarket is a one and done deal! Otherwise, if you don't heed my warning, you might get buyer's remorse. read more

The lady that works at the register are rude and disrespectful. I am handicap can barely walk with crutches. I went in first thing in the morning when they open. I ask the lady is there any carts available? She said yes go get it outside. And it's raining. I told her can you go get. Why don't you guys have carts available for your customer before you open. If I didn't needed assistant I would get it myself. She see me limping but refuse to help me. Another male worker had offer to go get it for me. I haven't shopped much here, so all I can say on that front is that you can get a big bag of persimmons for $2, and a huge bundle of lemongrass for $1. The little eating area at the back has some excellent, authentic Laotian dishes. The ganggai (red coconut curry noodle soup) is very nice. Not too creamy, the chicken is cooked down quite a bit to infuse into the broth, it's a little spicy, with some lemongrass flavor, and topped with thin slices of banana flowers and other veggies. The pork larb has a kick and is very flavorful. I preferred it to the beef larb, but the rest of my party quite enjoyed that, too. The Hmong sausage is very good (especially with sticky rice), and they have some nice fish dishes. The papaya salad was a little too sweet for my tastes - I would have preferred more tang and more heat. But, they make it to order, so you can have input into this process. Good spot for a meal. I live out of town. We hve an asian store, but not like this. This place is the real deal. This store is surprisingly clean, well stocked and organized. They even have a HUGE custom clothing section in the back. I headed right to the clearance rack. An older asian lady, helped me pick out a beautiful thai outfit. She knew her stuff!! They altered the skirt on the spot, no extra cost. It only took abt 15 mins. Now it fits me perfectly. Altogether the entire outfit, silk top & skirt, cost me$90. I have become a fan of this place the more I have visited other asian grocery stores around town. If you are disgusted by the smell and cleanliness of Golden Bowl then this is definitely the place. I am impressed with their hygiene and how clean the butcher and seafood section is all the time. They may not have anything close to the amount of produce that other have but it is plenty. I do wish they have live seafood like RN, fresno seafood co, etc. I think the prepared food is great deal but get there early, some of it can be sitting there for a while without that much high a turnover at times. read more
