I went and checked out the $1 comic selection and it was HUMONGOUS, me and my father were just amazed. They had a wide variety of comics all organized well from A-Z and usually being valued from $2-$10 giving you more than what you paid. After finding what we wanted we asked for what we bought outside the comic section (game instruction books) to be sleeved and immediately did it for us. Amazing service, best store I ever visited. They had current comics, a good amount of older comics to look through (found a couple a great priced personal gems), awesome selection of anime statues and mangas, and a great Pokémon selection plus more. I highly recommend this comic book store. Very large dollar bin section of back issues (12 comics for $10 special). Filled some gaps in my collection. They also have a .25 section, a priced as mark section and some premium books as well as the current issues of the month. Staff was friendly and nice but gave me space and time to make my selection. I've been coming to this store since I was a kid. (Lol, i'm not young) Now I bring my kids. The staff is great and I love the owners. Very friendly and helpful folks. Fair prices and they are great at finding specific things you like. Love seeing young tabletop gamers enjoying themselves in the shop and hearing their chatter as I walk through a very well stocked store. TBS Comics appears (to the layman) to be a totally decent comic book & more store. I haven't collected comics, miniatures or my virginity in a long time, and while killing some time in the Fort one day I found my way into this comic shop. You never know when you'll see something you can't live without. They definitely have the comics covered, but also have lots of graphic novels, which is huge considering all the popular television shows and movies out there right now on which they're based. They also have a lot of action figures, gaming choices (card, board, etc), sports memorabilia, anime and other Japanese, er, stuff. Two things of note about TBS Comics. Firstly, this is a good place to pick up protective sheets and containers for those of you collecting coins, cards and stamps. And secondly, although they noticed when I came in and where I was in the store (making sure I wasn't cramming a comic book with a half-naked woman on the cover down my pants), they weren't hovering over me the whole time. Of the Comic and Gaming shops in the area, this one is my favorite. I'm not into comics, graphic novels or miniatures (of which, they have plenty!), so this review is mostly focused on CCGs, Boardgames, RPGs, and the Experience. CCGs: Well stocked selection of all major CCGs and some minor ones. Reasonable prices on packs, boxes and singles. Boardgames: Pretty good selection that keeps getting better. I've been very happy to see them add shelf space in this area and de-emphasize games such as Munchkin and Zombies!!!! What they have now is a decent collection of American-style and Euro games marked at list, but it's not uncommon for a discount to be taken at the register. RPGs: Major players are covered here. No real surprises. Good dice and accessory selection. Experience: Family-owned operation with plenty of space dedicated to open play tables. Most afternoons/evenings you'll find people playing MTG, Warhammer, Heroclix, and other CCG/Mini games. I've been working with them to set-up board gaming events, and they've been 100% supportive. Can you buy this stuff cheaper online ... of course you can, but online stores don't grow our hobby, places like this do. read more

Hands down my favorite comic book nerdom merchandise location around. I mostly go there to purchase Warhammer 40k models and play the tabletop game, but they have something for everyone here. The previous review reading "Just ok" must've been joking, as there's not a better spot in the area! Not a huge comic book guy/gamer but I went in here with a friend to see if I could get some Marvel Comics for my son since he really enjoys the movies and it was good. They had a ton of 1 dollar comics that were perfect for what I was looking for and I also found a pretty sweet Captain America action figure for him that I am sure he will love. The guy at the counter was very knowledgeable about almost everything and answered any questions me or my friend had. read more

The best comic shop around Destin! We visited here on our honeymoon and found some hard to find PoP figures we couldn't find in Kentucky. The staff is extremely friendly and they have new comics as well as a good variety of older back issues. Lots of figures, gaming, and anime selections as well. There is plenty of room in the store for gaming of all kinds. They have an extensive set of scenery on hand for use with tabletop war gaming. I just recently discovered comics and TBS is the first and only comic book store I have ever been in. I went in the store with zero idea of what I liked or was looking for, but the staff was super friendly, knowledgable, and was able to recommend some comics that I really loved. My favorite thing about my experience was that they were totally unpretentious and seemed excited to help me get started. Before going into the store, I had been a bit intimidated and was glad that my fears were unfounded. I very much recommend TBS Comic for any newbies out there looking to get into comics and have no idea where to start. read more

There are few positive thoughts I have of this store, but many negative. Starting on the good side, they have a good assortment of items, including: comic books, figures, trading cards, etc. The comics and cards are fairly priced, however I feel that the figures are a bit overpriced. Drifting over to the negative side, every experience I've had there was with the same worker, whom of which was extremely rude, and pretty much refused to help me. I had been asking about the game Heroclix, and the only response that I got out of him was simply "It's expensive." as if I didn't have the money for the game, eventually another customer helped me out. On another note, I participated in a Friday Night Magic event and the overall player environment was also pretty bad, many players were just plain rude, however, I know that isn't the stores fault, I just don't recommend participating in those events, it's worth the drive out of town to find another shop. read more
