She had been talking up the cookies to me, saying that they were something I just HAD to try. We walked into the shop at right around 6:00 p.m. and were the only people there at the time. We heard the doorbell ring when we walked in, so we are pretty sure that the employees did also. After standing there for 5 minutes, staring at blobs of cookie dough sitting and drying out on the prep counter, and after a couple more customers walked in behind us, also ringing the bell on the door, we started wondering if anybody was even there. The lady who walked in behind us actually called out to see if anybody was working! We all also took turns opening and closing the door to cause the doorbell to ring numerous times. Just when we ALL were getting ready to give up and walk out, a young worker came out from behind the short wall that separated the front customer area to presumably a back office nook area? I moved way over to see where the heck she came from and can only assume she had been sitting there the whole time, listening to the doorbell and listening to us yell for an employee, and also listening to us talk about walking out. She came up front to take our orders and never once cracked a smile on that smug little face of hers! She was incredibly rude to us.. incredibly! When asking us for the amount charged, she kept mumbling and we had to have her repeat everything she said, each time she opened her mouth. Either she was incredibly high, or she was doing that mumbling on purpose just to be rude. After taking my money, $10 for two cookies!, another employee came up from the back bringing our cookies to us. She was only marginally nicer, but then the first young girl did turn around and walk away instead of taking care of the customers behind me. I can't tell you how close my friend and I came to just walking out even after placing our order! I've honestly never been treated this rudely in all my days. Especially when laying out this ridiculously high price for what they considered Gourmet cookies, which turned out to be slightly undercooked regular old sugar cookies with a lot of very salty icing. I have no problem telling you I will never ever come back (to this location especially), and also will be telling everybody about my experience. In reading all the past comments on google, it seems to me there is a high number of dissatisfied customers who have complained about the rudeness of the employees at this location. In each instance their reviews were answered with the promise that they would 'do better' or 'look into it'. I would have to say neither of this has ever happened yet. My visit was on Friday, September 18th at 6:00 p.m. so this should be enough information for you to know who was scheduled to work that day, and who needed to be called out for their rudeness to their customers. Do better, crumbl.
