I developed eczema in my first pregnancy with my son in 2007 but as soon as my son was born, it went away.

Even simple things felt hard. My doctor offered antidepressants, but I wasn't ready to go that route, and acupuncture felt like a last-ditch attempt. Seeing Dr. Cook changed my life. My postpartum depression lifted, and I am genuinely happier than I have ever been. I feel light, energized, and inspired by the simplest moments. When I was depressed, I couldn't plan ahead or imagine a future--now I'm excited about what's next, motivated, and fulfilled at the end of each day. I've struggled with focus and memory my entire life, and postpartum it became even worse. Since working with Carolyn, my clarity and memory are sharper than they've ever been. I feel present, capable, and grounded. I'm currently six months postpartum. Before seeing Carolyn, I was considering quitting breastfeeding; now I feel energized and excited to continue and am eager to go the full year. There was also a recent health scare with my baby, and I was able to handle it calmly and grounded--something that would have sent me into a spiral before. That alone showed me how profoundly this work has changed me. For context, my care has consisted of weekly acupuncture and taking herbs twice a day. I've only been seeing Carolyn for about two months, and the results have been fast and life-changing. What truly sets Carolyn apart is who she is. She is not salesy, deeply trustworthy, and you can tell she knows her work speaks for itself. She listens without judgment and offers insight with compassion, clarity, and humanity. She is magnetic, grounded, and genuinely a good person. I've seen other acupuncturists before, but I did not experience results like this until Carolyn. She is a true healer, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Carolyn not only fit me in to her schedule last minute, her acupuncture treatment and follow up advice helped my foot heal better than I could've imagined. She is so knowledgeable and her herbs are unlike any I've tried from other practitioners. Cant recommend her enough!

To my surprise (and delight), this was actually one of the modalities offered by Dr. Blanca. I made an appointment, and I've never looked back. Since then, I've returned for energy healing, craniosacral therapy, acupuncture, cupping, PEMF, and massages--just to name a few. I truly swear by Dr. Blanca's hands, as well as those of her fellow practitioner, Priscila. Every chance I get, I recommend Minsu's Healing Oasis--and people always thank me afterward. Last year, I was involved in a car accident and required physical therapy through workers' comp. I was so relieved to find out that they were a covered provider. Visiting them feels like coming home. Each treatment is customized to exactly what your body needs at the time. Because of the demands of my line of work, I often feel the need to replenish my energy--and every time, I make sure to visit Dr. Blanca. She knows exactly what I need and always leaves me feeling refreshed and renewed. Through them, I've also been introduced to a more holistic approach and have been able to expand my knowledge and understanding of the connections between the human body, mind, and spirit.

This place is above excellent in terms of the variety of services they offer, the quality of their services, and their professionalism with their patients and customers. This is a privately owned healing space that covers every aspect of healing. It is not a chain accident clinic that only focuses on the physical aspect (if that). You will never feel like a number here. It is definitely physical therapy with a twist! You will not find a more personalized and tailored experience. Whatever ails you, physically, spiritually, emotionally, or all of the above, you will be in very capable hands. I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Minsú and her professionals. Ronnie, Director of first impressions, always welcomes you with a smile and offers their signature tea. Yahima gives an incredible full body deep tissue massage. Priscilla does amazing @ RPT, acupuncture, and access bar therapy. Dr. Minsú makes magic with her numerous modalities, including physical therapy, craniosacral therapy, dry needling, and she also teaches yoga, meditation, and pilates for core strengthening to help back pain and stress. I highly recommend this business.

Acupuncturists don't just jab you with you with needles…read more My friend and fellow Yelper Jacquie recommended Renee Skuban at a New Leaf Acupuncture after a lingering sports injury. I wanted to try something different other than cortisone, or at least as a complement to traditional medicine. Dr, Skuban (yes, acupuncturists are doctors) started with a physical exam through Oriental Medicine principles - typically the electrical flow through the body as well as questions regarding my symptoms. After the questions, I laid down on the stretcher and she proceeded with the famous needles in the affected areas on both the front and back. She also gave me recommendations on a supplement. She is also very pleasant and tends to listen more than some traditional (Western doctors. I'd highly recommend!

Oriental medicine is holistic in nature, and Renee embodies that philosophy wholeheartedly. From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed and uplifted. She is methodical about her diagnosis but she also follows her intuition when designing her treatments, which is what you want from an Eastern medicine practitioner. She will also give you valuable advice about diet changes, breathing exercises and other alternative practices you can do to improve your condition. Highly recommended!
