There was no introduction, no explanation -- just immediate physical manipulation without so much as a basic "Hi, I'm ___." In a healthcare setting, that lack of professionalism is unacceptable. And quite frankly, very off-putting. Still gives me the creeps. What made it worse was the overall lack of attentiveness. During my visits, Dr. Ryland often appeared more focused on the golf tournament playing on the TV than on the patients in the room. On more than one occasion, he made comments about how he would rather be out golfing. Whether said jokingly or not, that left a strong impression that patient care was not the top priority. Looking back, I regret ever walking through the door. My initial instinct that this would be an overpriced, impersonal experience turned out to be accurate. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this office to do thorough research and proceed with extreme caution.
