I was pleased to see the very LARGE screen on this ATM. In the Welcome screen it quickly tells you all the networks that are part of this ATM, so it was easy to see that the VISA and the PLUS networks were welcomed here. The transaction was a breeze, no one around, so that took no time. AmTrust is part of the New York Community Bancorp with offices in Florida and Arizona. AmTrust was originally based in Cleveland, Ohio, but in December 2009, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation seized AmTrust (all 66 branches and $13 billion in assets in Ohio, Florida and Arizona). NYCB acquired AmTrust shortly after that incident. New York Community Bancorp is a bank headquartered in Westbury, New York with 225 branches in New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Florida and Arizona. So I can say AmTrust is pretty much typical in those respects, but what sets it apart for me is the friendliness and sincere concern of the staff. I neither have any accounts nor do I have any personal business of my own with AmTrust, but I have clients and others that do, many for whom I handle their affairs, holding power of attorney, other documents and safety deposit box accesses, so I've been to this branch office frequently. Every time I've been here, I've been greeted and handled both warmly and professionally, and have generally found it to be a good place to do what is basically routine banking business. I also noted one thing good thing that in my mind sets this little branch bank above many others. The first rule of banking used to be: "Know your customer and with whom you are dealing." Unfortunately in today's world I see that primary rule so frequently ignored. At AmTrust is wasn't. When I arrived at my appointment I noted that the staff member already had my picture on the side of his desk and had taken the trouble to do some Goggling, or whatever, so that in advance he knew who I was and to whom he was speaking. Besides saving time with a lot of silly questions, it's also a good measure for protection against identity theft as well as offering a means of fraud protection.

They make donations and attend community events. I really liked how they have a greeting atea that rivals a hotel check-in desk. They seem to be growing in this area. Fifth Third has at least three locations within just a few miles of each other. I could see why with the genuine service.

When he saw me waiting for the rain to stop--and it just kept getting worse--he offered to help me get to my car. There were a couple of umbrellas by the door, so I used one, and he followed behind to bring it back inside. He didn't have to do that, but it truly made a difference and allowed me to get back to my family sooner. What an amazing experience--this branch sets the standard for customer care. I was waiting for my husband to make sure 10 days after mine. my fault I shouldn't have waited apparently, but I've never seen any other bank automatically roll your money over to whatever they wanted to. They rolled it over to a one year with a lower interest rate instead of doing something closer to mine, which would be the six months at a higher rate that I could've lived with. I found a better rate at , my old Amtrust bank in Deerfield. They charged me $400 to take that money out because it was three days over. They would not change it to a six month which I said I would leave the money there. They didn't do anything to help us I even offered to leave my husband's money there. No help at all. This is not the first CD I've had there they have decent rates, but they are not willing to help you very unprofessional. The man that I open the CD with was gone a week later when I went back in for another account so something did not sit right with me from the very beginning. I would never use this bank again. I don't care what their rate is. They were very unprofessional not working with me. I was told that they are able to help sometimes if there's a good reason . So they are able to do something if they wanted to keep your business and apparently they did not care about it. It was quite a large sum of money so even leaving it at a lower rate for that amount of time was not feasible.

It is very intimidating changing your investment service company. However the associates at that firm made me feel very comfortable and made the transaction very easy. They have an outstanding website as far as learning about their investments. So the IT staff needs a five stars for designing a stellar website that is incredibly user-friendly. It is a little bit tricky getting to their office since it's in downtown so don't get discouraged. It is very easy to get a hold of their support staff. I paid fully all my monthly transactions. I am also joining the unsatisfied customers with that mobile bank which continuously made mistakes providing me inaccurate information on the phone. Even either the supervisor or manager I spoke to made mistakes for bank basic question issues. I spent endless hours on the phone. Yes they provided me with compensation but I was not looking for that kind of response. My time is valuable and I deserve to receive accurate information. The branch located downtown Fort Lauderdale provided me with the wrong wire #. I requested the international one and I got the domestic one. I did not get the funds on time even if the transaction was free. I was there in person in order to avoid any issues but it did not help. Staff are not well and longer trained to service the customers. I won't recommend that bank to my best friends.

I took out my car loan with SCU in 2003 and after the economy crashed in 2006 Kwei Battels went out of her way to work with me until I paid off the loan in 2008. Her professionalism and compassion are unmatched; she is one of the nicest women I have ever met. I would also like to mention Frances Godoy, this past month I went to see her so I could apply for an unsecured credit card, and she was able to get everything done through emails and faxes. Her prompt responses are unmatched. She has been a joy to work with. If you can join this Credit Union, do so. I cancelled all my other accounts with other banks and will stay with SCU simply because of their customer service.
