He gave her a hard time for not staying in line in her car, guess sitting in a car for 2.5 hours wasn't acceptable to him. I myself am a double amputee and had a hard time sitting in the same position for that length of time. Yes signs are clearly posted to stay in your car....I get it. But 2.5 hours is unacceptable. Kid needs to spend less time on his phone and pay more attention to the customers. He should be apologizing and not scolding, specifically the elderly.

This work should have been a 1 day job and cost $500, but I was told by one of the acting manager's (Hailey) they had trouble getting the part and that it would be ready 3 days later at $900. When I picked up the car, after 4 more days of having to call them to find out if the work was done, there was a large scratch running down my passenger's side door and my keys were held ransom until I paid the price quoted for the work to be done at the initial estimated time of 3 days. I heard multiple excuses each day why the work was not done on time and heard everything from: ordered wrong part, the old part broke trying to remove it, and they needed two days to get a drill bit to drill out the piece that snapped off. When I arrived at the location to pick up the car I contacted the Saugerties PD, and there was nothing they could do for a civil matter other than make an incident report. The only manager whose name is posted on the wall (Markos Peratikos) is not present at this location and was not available by phone when the police were summoned over the dispute - despite having spoken to him the day before to report the issue. I was standing there, in the shop forced to call the absentee manager because the acting manager (John Smith) refused to call him claiming he was "in a meeting." This was around 7pm in the evening. I specifically requested Markos call me back when I spoke to him earlier in the day to let me know how much I would be charged when I showed up to pick up the car. I never received a call back after leaving multiple voice messages before going to the location which is about an hour from where I live as this was an unexpected pulley failure. This place is a scam and absolute nightmare. I would never go back to a Monro anywhere after this experience. It pains me to write this as I from the Hudson Valley and saddened to witness how badly the commercial incompetence crisis has blighted this area. I am considering filing a claim with the court. These people should be ashamed of themselves and give decent mechanics everywhere a bad reputation. Be warned, if you value your time and capital stay away from this place. Needless to say they are not registered with the better business bureau.

When I'd return to report that the problem was only partly repaired, he or his father would make another appointment to look at it, and would inevitably charge me a huge additional fee for the "extra work" that should have been addressed (and was paid for) the first time around. And this was not a one-time fluke, either. This is what I have experienced from them for years. Most recently, I went to them because my heater/AC wasn't blowing. They replaced a blower - which shouldn't have cost more than $300, yet they never fixed the AC! Not only did they charge me over $800, with the AC still not working, but - surprise! - they offered to make me another appointment to fix it! When inquired if this appointment would cost me extra, the reply was "Of course." Well, no, thanks, Swindler. I go elsewhere for my auto repairs now.

We were shopping in the area that day and checked with Walmart Auto Center first but they said they were booked until the following week. I called Mavis and was informed that they could take care of us now if we stopped in so we did. Anthony, the service manager was friendly and explained everything that was included with the pricing (road hazard, rotation etc.). This is an auto shop so nothing super fancy, the waiting room can use an upgrade but surprisingly the bathroom was in decent shape. I believe the four tires came to just about $460. My sister was happy to have new tires and our group was happy because we were able to get all the work done while shopping in the area. Great Job Anthony and the Mavis Tire team!

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. Went in for four new tires…read more Talked me into replacing suspension for all of the tires saying it was highly recommended for my safety. Not upfront with the total cost and was shocked when I was charged $3000. Day 1, eight hours spent waiting for tires that I was told would come 'soon'. Never came so booked myself in for the next day. At the end of Day 2 they called me and told me they put on the wrong suspension on all of the tires. They were clearly pissed when I said I couldnt leave my car with them. Ten hours spent doing the wrong thing on my car... Day 3 all four tires were finally on. 3 months later, have found that they didn't tell me I need an alignment, breaks needed fluid and I got a flat today and was told by Mavis AND Triple AAA that they couldn't get my tire off because the bolts had been stripped by Midas. Horrible experience, enough said. Will never EVER bring my car here again.

I paid for the Deluxe Car Wash, $25!…read more Seemed like it was going to be great, two guys started out spraying the bejesus out of the car... went through the whole thing... no one checking the exit, so I drove right to Lowe's, my next stop after the wash... the roof of the car was like it hadn't been washed at all! That photo is taken about 5 minutes after the $25 wash.... I feel ripped off... I was going to drive down to Hoffman's and do it myself, but I was in a bit of a rush, so I figured it would save me a trip further south and I'd just let the pros (and the machine) work their magic.
