I love Cake Bar and I heard wonderful things about their tea house. I took some friends and we had a great time. Hannah, our server was very nice and very knowledgeable about the menu. Three of us got the High Tea..... lovely tea sandwiches on a nice soft bread and a trio of sweets. Everything was prepared nicely and served very beautifully. Pretty much all the teas can be served hot or cold. You can also substitute any of the Mocktails for the plain tea. One of the ladies had scones and said they were excellent. The interior is very simple and neat and clean and I am looking forward to another visit.

Such a great addition to Syracuse! Their tea selection was amazing, we weren't sure what to order so we got a little bit of everything!! The matchas were the stars of the show - so delicious! Parking was street parking, but we easily found a spot. We had a great time, and we are excited to come back and try more items!

Like others in the community, I've longed for this space to be reoccupied by another tea house. The owner of Cake Bar revitalized this space, bringing back a cozy place to catch up with friends, read, or get some work done. Fuel your visit with one of their many hot teas, sweet or savory treats, or if you have the appetite for it, try their high tea option! Their staff regularly walk around refilling your pot, asking if you'd like anything else, and making you feel right at home. What a wonderful addition to downtown!

Considering I love Cake Bar, I already expected to love Tea House but I was still blown away. The ambiance was amazing and the decor was adorable- the ceremic cups were adorable! Now the food, oh my gosh! I normally hate onigiri because it feels like no one can get the rice-to-stuffing ratio right, but this one was perfect! The tea was warm and cozy. Lastly, the scone was genuinely the best scone I've ever had.

As a novice tea drinker, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors of the teas I tried. Friendly, educational service. Great ambiance.

And the ube tiramisu was just gorgeous, a light cream, balanced sweetness, and a lovely sweet potato flavor that wasn't overpowering.

Grabbed my favorite tea, Honeydew Iced tea with watermelon and also tried out thier new dim sum. The barbeque pork rice rolls were delicious... but I admit I have gotten those before. As always the owner is so sweet and stopped to check on how we liked everything, and welcomed us to the new location. I wanted to make sure to share out since they have been working on opening for awhile and they are certainly back better than ever.

I needed something quick and filling and found hi tea just searching for what was still open. Mobile ordered it and walked right over. They had just finished my drink and were finishing up the food. Very quick turn around which was great probably 15 minutes. The aesthetic of the store is adorable powder pink seating and lots of stuffed animals. The employees are super nice and friendly too. My milk tea was delicious and the sweet treat I needed, loved the cold foam they put on it and I got to decide the sugar level which I chose 50% and that was still very sweet. The rice noodles were delicious, perfect chewy consistency and great flavor. There was lots of shrimp and pork, I gave half to my boyfriend. Highly recommend if you're looking for something quick and easy but want something different from the usual chain.

Ultimately I have decided that this particular location is only okay, with the service being anywhere from fast to really slow. The last order took 45minutes for us to get 3 bubble teas. Prior to that I had gone and had plastic pieces in my drink. It's rather pricey for powdered teas as well. The tapioca is a good texture. There are a few options for no sugar added teas. The interior is cutely decorated. The collab itself was really cute and fun.

I actually tried two different versions, the potato and the hot cheetos. Both were delicious. Perfectly crispy outside (the potato came with a super spicy dipping sauce), and soft and melty inside. Honestly I didn't know how the cheese would hold up on the car trip, but it was still warm, had pull and was super satisfying all around. The Hot Cheetos version was so tangy and really added a zest and kick. Technically I think these menu items were from Mochinuts which is next door/attached, but I was able to order from both simultaneously through the delivery platform. I also got a gingerbread milk tea, which was super sugary and tasty. I would definitely swing in here if I was downtown and strolling through Armory Square!

I'm not a bubble tea fan, so I can't speak to that, but I do quite enjoy their ramen bowls and have had them on multiple occasions. The standout for me is the miso base with chicken. The broth is piping hot, the green onion flavor is awesome, and it's a chock full of ingredients. The interior is unique with big, open windows and some funky booths. My main complaint here is that service tends to be a bit slow. I'd recommend ordering ahead of time and then eating there once you pick it up or just doing take out. Ordering through the counter can take awhile, even if it's quiet in there. Happy to continue to support them!

The place was totally empty when we walked in and outside of 1 Uber Eats order we were it 4:30 PN. But, it still took 15 minutes for two bowls of ramen and one rice bowl to be ready. Our meals were good but not worth the drive from Marcellus. I've had worse and I've had better bowls of ramen. The stock was good but it was lacking any real depth of flavor and seemed to be singular in tone and lacked any real silky rich mouth feel. Nothing that would warrant a wave off, but nothing significant enough for a book mark. We all like what we like, but for me this was an average experience.

Overall, I enjoyed my visit. The vibe was relaxed and low-key, making it a good place to sit down and get some work done. I spent some time working while I was there and appreciated having a space where I could focus without feeling rushed. The staff was pleasant, and one of the employees was kind enough to take a picture for me when I asked, which I appreciated. The only thing that stood out to me was that there wasn't much of a greeting or acknowledgment when I walked in, but it wasn't a huge issue. The seating was okay. The chair I chose wasn't the most comfortable for an extended stay, but it got the job done. There was also some rock music playing during my visit, which helped create a casual atmosphere. I didn't order any coffee or food this time around, so I can't speak to the menu yet. This visit was more about finding a place to work and unwind for a bit. Would I come back? Yes. While I'm still searching for my go-to coffee lounge in Syracuse, Recess is definitely a spot I'd visit again. It has a chill, unpretentious vibe that makes it easy to settle in and spend some time there. I forgot to take more pictures will do when I go back.
